    Stumbled on your videos a few days ago and got my first Huel packs today - really appreciated your 'normal' perspective and straight forward approach to it all - excited to jump into and use Huel to eat healthy and lose some weight!

      thank you so much - that's exactly what I was going for, because it seemed that was what was missing from the other reviews! Did you just go for H&S, or did you get some of the other powders too?

      @@LittleTipple I've got two bags of the powder - banana, berry, and some flavour boosts. Honestly? I'm really enjoying it so far, so much that the past two days I've ended up having Huel for breakfast and lunch (was planning on only having for lunch). It's just so easy and convenient, plus personally I like the taste, oaty and thick. Definitely not out to become a Huel-only person or go macro mad, but knowing I can shake up something and have a nutritionally complete meal is peak 'future' to me.

    I'm using a y-food drink to make smothies just adding a few greens or fruits and a little water to thin it out. I just made a crazy coconut y- food smoothie adding one green banana and 50% water it tastes great. Thanks for your review ill try Queal next.

      YEah, I was ut in a difficult situation for that - I did it in one take then looked at the footage - I felt that the info was more important than seeing my face, and didn't know whether I would have done it as well a second time... I'm hoping the information makes up for it! But thank you, I'm glad i helped turn you onto huel years ago - are you tempted to try any of the new suggestions?

    Hey, great video! I’m looking to get back into meal shakes, I tried Huel and Bertrand years ago, and I could really do with the convenience again. I’d love to hear your opinion on Bertrand if it’s still around, it was the most “all natural” one available when I tried it, so you might like it!

    • @LittleTipple
      @LittleTipple  3 роки тому

      I'd not heard of it before, but looked into it, and it'll definitely go on the list - looks like a slightly more expensive option, but if it justifies the cost, then that's ok with me!

      I tried Bertrand few years ago and really disliked the texture and flavour. I wonder if that improved in the meantime.
      Minutes ago I reordered Queal to get back into the meal replacement stuff.

    Out of curiosity, when you mention Huel do you mean the normal 3.0 white version or Huel Black? New to the channel so haven't binged your previous videos yet! Thanks :)

    • @LittleTipple
      @LittleTipple  3 роки тому

      I've used both in the past, and continue to use both - I like the texture of Huel Black, it's definitely smoother, but I just haven't needed to place a new order for a while, so I'm now working through my supply of 3.0 at the moment!

    As a person who is the literal opposite of a sweettooth, I choose Huel as my gold standard because they are the only ones to offer an unsweetened&unflavoured version of their powder, and they offer their hot&savory range, which tastes actually REALLY decent if you season it a bit, and gives you something warm that you can chew on.
    As an aside for anyone who is wondering/being disappointed after seing the nutrient sheet of the huel black: Huel does suggest that you can use dehydrated coconut flakes to make it a keto-friendly meal-replacement system of this is something you are after

      Thanks so much for your input Ben - I love how different people all take to these differently - it's been really hard to try to balance this in the review, and let people know that although this is my view, everyone needs to decide on what matters for them!

    Have you every tried the Whole Fuel from MyProtein? I think it's essentially a rip off of Huel but comes a fair bit cheaper and I find it's a lot smoother texture. I've heard the ingridients are less well sourced but haven't looked into that properly.
    Great vids, keep em up

    Cheers for the video man. I'm going to be tested for low glucose tomorrow. I've been thinking about these meal replacements as I'm maybe to Carb heavy and feel like I need to eat all the time to fight off feeling edgy, light headed, tired etc.. Would these meal replacements help do you think? Thanks

    • @LittleTipple

      they may well do - though I think a doctors opinion may be slightly more useful than mine - especially if you're getting dizzy spells... these may help with a more constant base level of intake though?

      @@jasond626 I'd say stick with huel or queal in that case - pretty sure they're both gluten free (do a final check before you buy) and are well sourced and probably the least synthetic...

      @@LittleTipple cheers for that man.. I noticed the y food ones were lactose free. I'm not so good with milk. Maybe one cappacino a day and decaf at that. But belly bloats etc.. Soya milk upsets my belly too though! Think it does a lot of people.
      Queal and huel still sound best on that case? Of and do they do taster trial packs as I don't want to spend a lot to find out doesn't agree with me etc.

      Someone else had made this comment, so I looked them up - definitely keen to do a review, but need to think carefully about how I would do it - their whole "tailored to you" approach means every variant might be slightly different... But it's definitely on the list! Any others you'd like to see?

    Great review - its funny how everyone has a different preference or taste. On your other protein works video i commented a few weeks back... Shame you didnt grow to like them.
    For me i get TPW vegan meal replacement - 4kg is 40 meals at £36.50 a bag. They have their 50% offer on constantly meaning it actually works out the cheapest option overall at about 80p per shake...
    I might look into queal as an alternative when i start to get a bit bored of other flavours.
    Ironically, i dislike Huel...
    I've tried Jimmy Joy - they were so sawdust like... Strange consistency and flavours... Theres a new brand called abnormal? Have you looked into that one?

    • @LittleTipple
      @LittleTipple  3 роки тому

      I haven't seen abnormal - will add them to the list... don't think I'll be adding Jimmy Joy to that list though... And yeah, I absolutely see your point from the TPW video about them being a useful snack - I really like that idea, and I will use them as that, i just found them too sweet to stick with - the vegan ones were less sickly though. And I kind of love that everyone has a different taste and idea - it'd get boring if we all agreed all the time - that's why these reviews are tough, and I've tried to stick to my "normal person's review" idea - i can just tell you what i found, i can't tell you if you'll like it! Thanks so much for following the series!
