Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU recommend they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.
When I can't be bothered to reach over to my tackle box and grab a float. Keep up the good angling boys, love ya both 🎣🎣👍👍
any carp in the broads bro?
Superb! Old school simplicity. Been fishing like this since the 1970's and it still catches fish!
My very first carp...a common of less than a pound caught in exactly this way, in a small farm pond, around 37 years ago, with a day ticket costing just 50p Still one of the most exciting catches of my angling career. Sadly that farm and pond were bought, the pond was dredged, enlarged and turned into a syndicate water where children are no longer encouraged. Our sport needs ponds like this, with fish like these, where young people can learn water craft and how to be anglers. Thanks for a great, down to earth approach in all your work. Proving that we don’t always need our barrows loaded with £££s of gear to enjoy our sport. 👍🏻
I used a stick as a float once, but I caught another stick on the hook. The camouflage fooled it into taking my hook bait. Still my biggest stick capture to date, a specimen!
thats crazy bro i once used a stick and caught a float :O
Double corn always does the trick! That lake looks unreal and secluded!
Your show and tips help so much guys, this channel helps balance the soul ,good job guy's, may the universe always bless u.
Brilliant and inspiring boys. A twig and some corn. Wonderful stuff.
Good lads have followed them for years! Always inspiring me to get out
Excellent advice. Many thanks. I used to hate float fishing due to shotting up. But this looks so simple. Will definitely have a go. Cheers lads 👏👍
I love the fact you’ve brought back one of your oldest videos and made it a tutorial, awesome! 🤟🏼❤️
where is the original
I don't know if anyone else noticed when Carl hooked the carp, at 8:16 exactly another one jumped in the background 😀 Great video!
I didn’t notice it 😂
Taking the term stick float to a new level.
Love u guys and the videos. Keep the good work going plz.
Brilliant back to your routes fishing. The real reason to fish just pure pleasure. Thanks
Your videos are amazing, educational and fun. You guys have made me love carp fishing. Keep up the great work guys. 👍
Caught my first fish yesterday evening with a float and corn and it was a lovely mirror 😊
What fish was it,my first fish was a 10lb carp
@@will819 they said it was a mirror carp?
@@will819 my first fish roach first carp 7 lb mirror second carp 10lb mirriror
Another great video guys,iv learnt so much from all your tutorials keep up the good work 👏 👍 👌
Bait bands are my go to for stick floats stretch real nice over the notches.
My sort of fishing. Cheap and quick!
Im not first
Im not last
But when i see the notif i click fast
Love your videos keep up the good work
haha thanks Jo :)
I started fishing for first time
Very nice fishing tutorial brother 👍
Another excellent video guys. But you could also fish this pond without the stick. Simply cast out the one SSG and corn on the hook and watch the line, appropriate conditions prevailing of course. Even simpler!😊
I might have said it before but these are my fave channels on UA-cam. Both of you are a big part of the future of Angling. Keep up the great work lads.
D.
Caught my first carp for 20 years on Thursday, fishing very similar to this. Great vid as always 👍🏻

Well done guys this reminds me of the past when I had no money for a float😂🤣😂
takes me back 65yrs to when me and my mates fished like this, still use simple gear today, over the moon if i get a 10lb common cos its all about the thrill of doing it not breaking records, tight lines guys enjoy it while u can.
Nice content great for new anglers , well done as its not allways easy covering very basic methods and it can be easy getting a full video out of it !

You guys prove that anyone can catch fish thanks for the vid guys 200k just around the corner
Another great video chaps and I presume that's how the name stick float came from .
Love the vids watch all the time
Thank you!!
My brother and my friend has been fishing for years now,i just started 3 months ago and did it like 16 times only.A few weeks ago i started watching your tutorials and learned a lot from them and i really enjoy them. My biggest carp is 8,5 kilos with 2 corn on the hook and one rubber corn on the bait spike.
Keep up the great work and greetings from Hungary.
dont cover the point of the hook with bait mate, its lowering the chances of hooking, youtube "hair rig" use that and put 2 corn on and 1 plastic at the bottom it works a dream
@@daleHarrison93 I meant that we use bait spikes instead of hair rigs, and never cover the tip of the hook
Another cracking video 👍🏼
I once won the total weight category in a carp fishing contest. All I brought was one hook (#4 or #6 probably), 12-15 feet of monofilament, and a crust of bread. I cut a branch from a willow tree for my pole. As I recall I caught roughly a milk crate full.
Amazing video, amazing fish, amazing attitude toward the well-being of the fish. I hope more and more anglers see the videos and start learning how to properly get a fish out of the water and back in without harming it.
Sadly everywhere I go fishing I see people with 0,40 mm lines, big hooks catching 5 kg (11 pound) fish with the drag completely locked and just reeling like crazy, slamming the fish on the dirt and throwing them back in the water while the fish is bleeding like crazy from their mouth.
😪
Totally agree.
0,40 mm is about 25lb breaking strain so an (11 pound) fish is unlikely to break it leaving a hook stuck in its mouth. Also the drag on the clutch is to protect the line from breaking and is set to allow line to be taken before it brakes. Allowing a fish to take line is risking the fish going into a snag and getting stuck. Slamming a fish on the dirt is out of order the angler must use an unhooking mat and must have a net.
@@michaeldemetriou1399 tell that to the majority of anglers in Romania 😢 they use a 0,4 mm just to be able to reel the fish like a log straight onto the dirt and gravel 💔 unfortunately on public waters there is no authority that cares about this if you take pictures and report them. They don’t even do anything about those who use big treble hooks to snag fish, and according to the law it’s illegal and you can do some jail time for it. Even on private lakes in competitions they weigh fish that are bleeding because they fish so close to each other and you get penalized if the fish runs across others line (it’s impossible to let the fish take line and that to not happen)
@@jSergiu Some Romanians here in the U.K. steal fish to eat. I don't know how they fish but a back lead will stop fish running into lines you can fish 3 rods 1 foot apart and not get a tangle. sounds like the people you are talking about are not very clued up about fishing.
I love your Videos. Every Video is really nice and the carps are beautifull. Can you please make a Video about your top 10 pike fishing Essentials.
Could you maybe make a video how to catch tench in the middle of the summer please? Btw loved the video, keep up the good work.
Tench are really easy to catch, as they like to Burrow themselves in the silt, the best way to catch tench in summer is method feeder or maggot feeder, wouldn't recommend using a maggot feeder on a lake with small fish in it as it'll destroy your bait in a few seconds. And you can also catch tench on a float but I don't use float often for tench fishing. The best bait to use for tench is sweetcorn or a small pop up as I caught loads on a 12mm or a 10mm pop up. Hope this helps
Pludiņš un kukurūza. Pa dienu iebaro un no vakara līdz rītam būs copes. Jāmet dūņainās vietās pie zālēm.
Another great video. Cant wait to get my licence renewed and get out on the lakes around my area in Norfolk
Brilliant ethos again, great video
Nice vid lads. Twig fishing👍, love it.
Wow your are just amazing this is a amazing vid like all your vids 😀👍
Thanks for sharing 👌
Great video again! Helped me learn so much about fishing recently being quite new to the sport!
Do you have any tips for fishing a lake with a choppy surface? I find it really hard to spot fish indiction (bubbles, swirls etc..)
Thanks guys, keep up the good work
Ace thank you
10:40 really cool
Hi guys your video on top water fishing rlly helped me I caught 7 carp in one session 😊🙌
I got this season 4 during one day, but it was pure luck.
@@FelixIsGood nice I was using bread it was my best fishing day so far am 13 so I hope for more boss days
@@noahsainsbury2192 Sure, i' using self-cooked-corn for my catches. Bread just doesn't work on fast flowing rivers. ;-)
@@FelixIsGood cool tha good luck for the future 👍🏼👍🏼
Fantastic 👍 I really enjoy your vids, keep up the amazing work
I love your vids Carl and Alex absolute legends like if you agree
Great vid thanks lads 👌
Good one Carl, I’m selling my bite alarms and getting some twigs. Joking aside what a great way to fish, no hassle and perfect for short sessions.
good jobs
Iam gonna try this when Iam old enough. Iam still young so I might suggest this to anglers that I know:) nice that you also have a amazing tutorial channel as well as a regular carp fishing channel witch Iam also a huge fan of ❤️❤️:)
Peter K huh?
Peter K what does that mean
Peter K thank you :) I’m only 10 and I go fishing 3 times a month

I had a dream i put corn in the water and carp fish was ever where it must be true i am going to try thanks
"A plastic or FEATHER based float" advice incase you turn up to a lake and it turns out to be 1948 :D great video as always guys :)
i do the same way with the stick its cheap and at the same time the fish are not scared of it and its heavy too i dont use even weight just a single hook on the main line 0.2 for example and bread thats it💁♂️🎣
This is gonna
be fiiirrreee
Nice
Im what you would say a seasoned carp angler and fished with alarms and don’t nights under a bivvy and stuff but these videos are so interesting and a great watch
And incredibly easy to catch lake
Great video I’m off out now to go barbel fishing at the river Colne really hard there I’m 15 my best out of there is a 12 pound 3 ounce. Haven’t caught one out of there in like 6 years today could be the day 👍🏻🎣
If ever you guys get the chance to do a carp video or a general fishing video you must try Ian Heaps fishing academy in South Wales amazing place with accommodation too. And a chance to meet a former World champion
Will u be bring your own tackle out and including the float lol😂 great video again lads
A twig as a float, corn straight on the hook. That’s the American way for Carp fishing😂
Jonalexxx fr haha
Thanks for your efforts and explanation 👍.Why we haven't fishing equipments like those you have in our country! !!??
Thanks for watching. Yes tackle like this can't be easily found outside of the UK. What country are you from?
@@fishingtutorials I'm a teacher from Iraq and my favourite sports are fishing and hinting .Maybe one day I visite UK, I hope so.
Love the videos keep it up do you think you guys could possibly do a video on how to use a boilie stick
Great vid as always! Taking it back to basics. Tomorrow I am going fishing in holland on a slow flowing canal. If you were me, what tactic would you use for catching a carp or bream?
When you caught that first fish there was a fish jump in the background by the looks of it 😂
Can you do a video on how to catch pike? Ps. Love the stick method
Great vid please some more pike vids
In my country we don't have rain and snow and our lakes are alrwady dried up. They were so good but we need water in Bulgaria.
Nice little vid and I miss the UK for that kind of fishing. Although my gf. did catch her first carp on Sunday float fishing 3 grains of scorn next to the lilies, it was also testament to the fact it’s 10 times harder in Germany 😕 Why? Because the smallest of roach and rudd have no goat here about nicking the corn off yr hook. So for every carp you catch, you probably rebait and cast about 100 times (and catch 10-20 silvers). It’s not really relaxed fishing. It’s wierd. Dunno why they’re so crazy on sweetcorn here?! Perhaps because it’s also the go to bait here for the majority of pleasure anglers (even in the depths of winter), so the fish probably get used to it, like carp do with boilies? 🤷♂️
My very first fish was a stick with line and a hook attached
Hi guys can u guys lift any lakes down south worth while or any clubs trying to move from small fish to the larger fish if so near Uckfield thx also love this good work keep it up
日本の釣り方と違いがありますね。勉強になります。There is a difference from Japanese fishing. informative.
Very nice video man , nice work . I tried corn and I caught turtles lol . should I cast further than 100 ft ?
Me: hey mom can u stop at the tackle store I need some bobbers
Mom: we have bobbers at home
Bobbers at home;
Can we, fish with sweet corn 🌽 for Common & Grass Carps ?
Every fish eat corn. Even cats, pike and perch have been known to take corn. Great bait and cheap!
did you ever try fishing with a pole rod? 3-4-6meter long without a reel, i find it very good for calm shallow water like the swamp you were in.
