“Everybody’s fool”
Hero of War by Rise Against is a great song. Anything by Nightwish will give you an amazing female vocalist to react to.
Going Under
Sweet Sacrifice
lithium .. amazing song
She is so bad ass. Fun fact about this song is she wrote this after breaking up with the lead singer of Seether. If you want ideas for the next one Everybody's Fool is a great one. Lithium is also a good one.
LITHIUM...!!! It blows me away every time I watch that amazing video!!! 🙋♂
yes yes I second this comment!
Yes! Everybody's fool is my fav! ❤❤❤❤
Speaking of Seether, Knox should react to Seether and Amy Lee's "Broken." Beautiful song
Damn I commented before reading yours and yours is better 😆
I recently went back and watched the video for Everybody's Fool and it is so crazy how ahead of the times the lyrics are. It's a crazy accurate comment on celebrity culture and social media before social media had even taken off.
I'd never heard this song before. Thanks your comment. It really is an amazing song.
@@liannangel2004 glad you found it!
Her autotune was ahead of the times too lol, Amy Lee was doing it before T-Pain
@@bigpoppabotch3523literally not true. Recordign secondary vocals and singing melody over them is not the same thing.
You should definitely do more of Evanescence. Songs like My Immortal and Lithium have such a punch to them when it comes to the emotions they convey.
He did my immortal already but definitely needs to do lithium
@@farajicouncil4496going under. The whole evanescence debut album us incredible
Everybody's fool is great too.
lithium is def one of my favorite songs ever he needs to do it
I think he'd find even in death or before the dawn a real deep trip. Those two are so haunting for different reasons.
LITHIUM!!!! One of hers and the bands finest. Amy and her band are a perfect example of symphonic metal. Her beautiful angelic voice and that hard 'grungie' metal backing are a match made in heaven. LITHIUM!!!! (You know you want to...) 😜 🙋♂
Lithium is one of my favs!!
Her voice is so haunting, yet dreamy. Excited to hear your breakdown of the production, lyrics and everything! Always so enlightening. Thanks for what you do!
Damn! Amy is the queen! Next 2 big hitters.
GOING UNDER (big banger)
EVERYBODY'S FOOL (Amy's best video- should have won Emmy! 😊)
Would love to hear what you think of the female voices of Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale together in the song Break In by Halestorm. Two of the best female leads.
This song is so beautiful! I'd love to see you react to it also.
Agree!!!!
That performance in the studio is special
Saw them together, live. Just blows your mind.
Wow, Knox, you never cease to amaze me how easily you break songs down. Back when you only did rap songs, it was like, "Yeah, he's great at breaking these songs down, but this is the industry he grew up in. He knows everything about it." I always wondered how you'd handle rock songs. But once you started doing rock reactions, from the first song you did, you were just as incredible at breaking down songs completely out of your comfort zone. And as usual, you hit it out of the park with this one. You are my favorite breakdown reactor out there, and it's not even close. I used to group you with a couple of others. But you, my friend, are the best out there at breaking down any song out there, not to mention picking up the lyrics the first time (even heavy metal lyrics) im not trying to give you a big head. I just wanted to give you your flowers and give credit where credit is due.
It's missing Evanescence's going under, lithium, everybody's fool, my heart is broken, sweet sacrifice, what you want and better without you reaction.
Another song I absolutely love is Sweet Sacrifice by Evanescence.
Knox, i think you would love "Everybody's Fool" for the next Evanescence video :D
Amy Lee’s voice is so fucken beautiful!!
Going Under and Sweet Sacrifice are 2 other songs you should give a listen to
To confirm your analysis of this song. This song came out after her and the lead singer of Seether broke up. She is talking about how there relationship came to an end.
And I would like to add Seether's response song to this: "Breakdown".
The day after it was released he went into rehab
Evanescence, Eminem and Nightwish got me through my teenage years! I've cried, fought, screamed and raged to these songs and they're still so powerful!
The two that always get me are Going Under and Everybody's Fool!
+10 years listening to this song and watching the video and never noticed the bottles thing 😂 You surprise me with the Evanescence reactions and those details.
Please take a look to "Everybody's Fool" or "Lithium" by Evanescence. 🔥
Now you gotta listen to "Breakdown" by Seether. If i recall this song is about the lead singer of Seether as they were dating before this song came out. "Breakdown" is a response effectively to this song.
Old school Evanescence still goes so hard today. Lithium, Going Under, Good Enough, My Last Breath, Tourniquet, Everybody's Fool, Missing, and so many other really deserve a place on your channel. ❤
She made this song because of her ex. The front singer from Seether called Shaun Morgan.
She was on one of their songs that really blew up called Broken. ( You should listen to that )
But because he suffered from mental issues, and his brother killed himself, so he was drinking a lot. However Shaun Morgan and Seether is a amazing band that does not get enough credit.
And often when people learn about it, it is with their song broken, and because of Amy being in it.
This song also reminds me of Within Temptations "What have you done" ft. Keith Caputo ( A rather famous singer )
Same sort of wipe. and both amazing bands.
Also a small edit.
Mostly because I found it funny how you spoke about how she "Rise up" and "Rise over it" at the end.
Because Seether actually made a song called Rise above this. However it is not about Amy.
Its about mental issues and preventing suicide. It was released the year after he lost his brother to that.
And Shaun have since that done a lot to support places who help people who suffer from mental illness, and people who suffer from having lost people to it.
Performing at shows for free to support it, donating money and spreading awareness.
But was just a little fun you used those exact words" Rise above this ", considering Seether have a song called Rise above this, and Call me when you are sober is about the front singer of Seether.
Does their song Fine Again also play into this? It's one of my favorites. From your description, it made me think it might be a follow-up.
@@lacko623 Fine again is an amazing song.
But I must admit I do not know the bands meaning behind the song.
Sorry.
Their last record, The Bitter Truth is awesome too and few people react to it sadly. The intro of it, called Broken Pieces Shine is such a dope song
My friend, you need to check out “Good Enough”. It’s written about her husband. Even the instrumental version carries so much palpable emotion, that i tear up a little when listening to it.
You can do a shuffle on their songs and not get a bad one. Seeing them live in concert is an experience. Amy is never still, not even when she's doing the piano pieces.
Call Me When You're Sober, Haunted, and My Heart is Broken are definitely in my top 3 songs for Evanescence.
Can't wait for to to do "Everybody's Fool"
It's such a great take on a breakup song and the lyricism really evokes a much stronger emotion than what we typically hear. Amy isn't' fawning over this person, the words are a big "f*** you, if you really want me actually be in it."
Also the production of this video is so, so good. The second chorus into the bridge is well done.
My favorite line, "YOU NEVER CALL ME WHEN YOU'RE SOBER, YOU ONLY WANT IT, CUZ IT'S OVER!!!"
Every time I hear her voice, I get chills
A particular favorite of mine has beens Evanescence's Lithium as well.
Such a cool production piece with her voice when they split her all I think five ways or more and then she’s hidden from all of those angles it almost sounds like a bagpipe and I mean that in the best way because it’s gorgeous, but it also has a shrill piercing quality that a bagpipe has had its ingenious.
This band is so good live. Finally saw them for first time last year. Amazing
Going Under is one of my all-time favorites by Evanescence, and I know its very popular. You should try it out
Amy lee and lzzy hale are the two women in the rock scene that send chills down your spine and you cant help but love it
This is such a great song. I think next should be "My Immortal", then "Lithium", and then "My Heart Is Broken".
He's already done My Immortal, but yes, Lithium definitely needs to be on the list.
@@JPatterson61586 You're right, I had forgotten he did "My Immortal".
Our brains dissect and ingest music on the same level. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that.
I still listen to this song 🔥🔥🔥 mtv video before school era 😂
You gotta check out “everybody’s fool”
I havnt heard this song or seen the video in years and i forgot just how good it is. It was one of my favorites of theirs and Amy's voice is perfect and she looks so beautiful in this. I love the video and the whole story of it.
Also I dont know if you have heard of Spiritbox but the first one i would reccomend is Secret Garden or Constance. Courtney the singer is amazing. You wont be dissapointed.
I've been a fan of Amy Lee since high school 20 years ago. She was always cute and had such an incredible voice.
Song is about the lead singer of Seether she was dating at the time.
More Evanescence pleaaaase 🙏🏻
I love your analysis
Knox you gotta check out "Everybody's Fool" next, such a poignant song and music video and even more relatable today than when it came out 20 years ago!
One of my fav. female vocalist
Dude I love these Knox reactions, I’ve heard this song and seen this video so many times when I was younger and you totally gave me a new outlook on it and even showed me things I missed. Your channel is why reaction channels are so important. You add so much much to these videos even as a rapper doing rock songs
The first mv that really turned me in to Evanescence back in 2006 ❤
Thank you, Knox. A banger for lunch? Yes, please. 🔥🤟🏼😊
Her relationship with the lead singer of seether after their breakup, he released songs to they got together on the hit song broken but the song bring me to life is about the man she's married to now as soon as she walked into that restaurant in Tulsa oklahoma he saw through her like open doors ..she's been in love with him since the beginning of her career. But her and seether had like a back and forth thing through songs. I encourage you to take a look. Very good stuff
Broken is a really good song (Seether ft. Amy Lee). Most people think it is breakup song, but Shaun Morgan says he wrote it about being away from his daughter. It's worth checking out as well.
I still have goosebumps to this day when I listen to this song. I'm 23 and I grew up as a kid who's mother listened to Amy lee and I related to the lyrics and music video because of some personal life issues and the music to go with it is so beautiful like all of her songs. I recomend Lithium as well, her playing piano is never disappointing.
Evanescence rules
Try “Hello” next. Many people don’t react to that one… really shows off her voice and it’s a really deep song.
I don't know if you've done anything with "My Immortal", though it's up there, but I hope you get to react & analyze "Going Under", "Sweet Sacrifice", "Lithium", 'Everybody's Fool", "Wasted On You", "What You Want".
The covers of The Beatles's "Across The Universe", Chris Isaak's "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing", U2's "With Or Without You", Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain", and Portishead's "It's A Fire" is worth listening to, as well as Amy Lee's collaborations, including with Seether, Halestorm, Dave Stewart & Lindsey Sterling.
We need Knox and Amy to make a song together!!!❤❤❤❤
This song was about the relationship she had with the lead singer of Seether. Ironic but they did a song called “Broken” featuring Amy Lee when they were still together. It is a Great song!
One of my favorite songs
She is amazing and the band is amazing with her voice 👌
You seem to get them and their storytelling excellently 👏
This is why I love your takes on rock/metal.
I hold so much love for this song in my heart 🖤
Amy Lee speaks right from my soul in this one
Seen her twice in person, her voice is POWERFUL!! ❤
Sorry sent before finishing. Also the song off the EP David Hodges ft Amy Lee Fall Into You. Please listen to those two. AMAZING
Yayyy Knox.. So glad you're doing this song!!!!❤️
Great reaction! You’re one of my favorite reactors and It’s another level when you react to one of my favorite bands. Thanks!
Seether’s “Breakdown” is his side of things. Amy and Sean dated for awhile and it didn’t end too pretty. But you should check out Lzzy Hale/Amy Lee “Break in.” It’s a duet masterpiece.
Please do more!!
I loved watching the BTS of the table scene, because it just shows the crew using strings to yank away the plates, bottles and glasses. It's such a simple but visually striking effect. I'm sure there's a video on the making of video somewhere on YT.
Her voice is straight power
Everyone should check out Evanescence's EP in 1998 and demo album Origin in 2000.
I was SO HOPING you would do this one next! My personal favorite from them.
If you continue with Evanescence, which I would love, then definitely .
Lithium
Lost in Paradise
My heart is broken....
I am a 20Yr Ev fan, I googled reactions to Ev songs. Found you..wow! love your take and in depth view of the lyrics and video. Fun and awesome to watch, new fan to your channel , ty :)
@Knoxhill Amy is Ageless, 20 years later her voice is still as haunting as ever! Do more Evanescence in the Future!!!!!!!
Amy smiling at the end of the video got sean's attention. Saw a clip of him reacting to it😂
Yeah. Halestorm Lzzy Hale ft Amy Lee Break in. Is a must do the live studio session
I appreciate you being open for so many genres of music. Your comments are so dead on. Thank you for this video!
Can i refuse the "free regret"? I have enough! 😂😂Luv this song & luv ya Professor ✌️🖤
Just the first sentence in the first Verse is such a good question that many people who have an alcoholic in their life have to ask themselves: How long can I support this person? When does the moment come, when my Support clearly does nothing, maybe even enables, but hurts me? "Should I let you fall" Sometimes, the best thing you can do for a person is actually letting them go. For some people the fact that they are actually about to _loose_ someone they love, is the wakeup call they need. Not always. But saving yourself when there is nothing more you personally can do is not a crime. ANd what the other person does after that is not your responsibility.
Living with an addict is hard. It is painful because you watch them destroy themsleves and in the long run you pretty much only have two options: Succumb, either to the same addcition or just to the misery you live in or get out. You can support the person up to a point, suggest solutions, help groups, tell them if they want to get out, you are willing to help them with that. But if you are repeatedly shot down, it is time to cut the line.
Again, loving how you are understanding and listening to the lyrics. It's great to see music that meant a lot to me back in the day be appreciated and understood by others.
Do more she is amazing
I love a lot of her songs and voice. Hello and tourniquet are two of my favorites besides a few I seen from a couple of other comments.
Saw them in Sydney tonight. It was amazing as expected
Great analysis , you definitely need to go down the rabbit hole of In This Moment and the vocals of Maria Brink next!
Your reactions for me are the best on here. Love how you analyse not just the music but especially the lyrics and meaning behind them. If you want an upbeat song with a great message check out Savage Garden - Affirmation
You are so good at reading between the lines its fantastic!
Loving these Evanescence reacts…just do the whole catalogue so many gems Amy is a one of a kind!
Another Evanescence video, so another request to check out one song that often doesnt get enough light. Its caled Hello.
Check out the video she did with Seether, whose lead singer is the guy this song is about...stunning.
You really are great at breaking down this stuff! Makes me look at the music a whole new way
I heard this one before yet didn’t really listen to
I adore everything Evanescence. They produced so many great tracks. My Immortal is definitely one you should check out and Taking Me Over from the Fallen album. They both sound as good today as when they dropped.
You are so good at reviews. You understand it from every angle and very quickly too! Awesome talents
I absolutely love love loved your breakdown and reaction of this song and video. I was excitedly waiting for this video and it came on a perfect day. You should check out Everybody's Fool by Evanescence next please.
This song gives me chills
Great analysis as always Knox! Id recommend Lithium for sure, also from tbis album. And from their self titled album either The Change, or My Heart is Broken or End of The Dream ♡
Great video analysis! I had never paid attention to the symbolism between the lyrics and her movements.
Hi Knox!!! I love your content. I can tell that you are so intelligent! ❤from Ohio.
Great reaction! Your analysis of the video was really good…you notice some things I never noticed before and I’ve seen this video many times…
I could be mistaken, but at the time she was dating the lead singer of the band Seether (they have a great duet called Broken) and this was released near or at the end of their relationship so it was reflective of their highly volatile relationship
Definitely check out "Lithium", its one of my favorites! I Also love "Lost in Paradise" but I dont think theres a video for that one!
I used to go to sleep with the open door album playing on repeat. Lacrymosa is probably my favorite
Shawn Morgan from Seether is effectively who this was written for, he's since worked immensely to get sober
I think you would love the duet that Amy Lee did with Lindsey Sturling. "Shatter Me" one of my favorite songs. I highly recommend it
awesome reaction!
Yeah this is my favourite Evanescence song.
