I just finished doing almost this exact build in my kids playroom. Now it’s so much calmer and less chaotic looking and I would have never thought of it if I hadn’t seen your video, so thank you so much for the inspo!
I came across this video from my UA-cam feed and decided to watch as I like these type projects. I don’t normally comment but I was thoroughly impressed with your work and how you transformed this. I was also proud to see a female minority so knowledgeable in this craft, something you don’t see often enough. You’re super talented. I’ll definitely be watching your videos. Great job!
I have to say I am so happy to have found your channel. I am tired of everyone bashing Ikea and putting out that Restoration Hardware of Studio McGee is the way to go. I feel you can get the same lush look from using Ikea pieces and then unmaking them. I appreciate what you do and I may have to try this Noodle bench project out for my bedroom which could use a bit more storage and a comfortable place to sit, stage or even put my tv on. Keep the vids coming!

Wow! It’s beautiful and completely custom! Look at all that storage! 😍 It doesn’t even look that difficult, just some pre planning and hard work. If you hired a contractor this could easily cost thousands. I subscribed and will be binge watching your channel tonight because I’m buying a new house soon. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas. I’m so excited to have found your channel! 🙏
Super job! You’re creating & paying attention to details which happens generally with a woman’s touch. I like that window seat. May be something I would do in my bedroom. Thanks for the tutorial!
You are very skilled and innovative. I love the attention to details. The outlet box, the molding to deal with curved walls, the book nook... brilliant!! You make it look so easy 😝 The bench looks amazing 😍😍😍
Omg this is sooo cute. I think I’m going to add the handle to the other side, add d-rings, double zipper and turn this into a cross body handbag for my 5yo. It’s soooooo cute. Thank you for another amazing tutorial 😊
Fantastic hack, thank you for sharing this. Could you tell me how strong the nordli drawer sides are - am I right that they are taking the weight of anyone sitting on this seat? Have you had, say, 3-4 adults sit on the bench at once? Thanks again
Congratulations on a beautiful Ikea hack. You did such a professional job! I'm feeling so envious of not just the transformation, but also your mad DIY skills! Here's to Girl power!👍😉
You did a fantastic job. I also realized that the base space you created below the drawers could be a perfect location for hiding valuables (if ever needed).
Oh My!! I just saw this and you have changed my whole perspective on storage solutions! Thank you so much! You did an excellent job of thoroughly explaining every step. Your tips for putting the drawers in were really helpful. Thank you!!
We just bought a house and it's a new build. I want it to feel custom and I am seriously considering doing this in my room as well as my daughter's room. I'm doing a built in desk system in my son's room. I cannot wait to get started. We should get the keys to the new house soon. Thank you for this in-depth video.
I have a built-in bench in my smaller dining room that I’d like to remove and replace with a drawer unit like this but didn’t want to pay contractor prices. Thanks so much for this tutorial!
Thanks so much for this walk through! I was looking into building something similar without the outlet box. When I looked it up it seems like you cannot leave your power outlets inaccessible like that so I was thinking of moving mine higher above the bench.
Don't have these tools in order to recreate this gorgeous window seat but love it. Looks like you guys are professional as I can see you have all kind of tools.
This is such a beautiful, creative project. And I think it's great that you didn't close up the bottom of the drawer units. That gives you a lot of hidden, secret storage space inside the base that the drawer units rest on. Just a great idea!!!
Not sure why this was recommended to me, but this was a very good watch! What a good recommendation :) Definitely inspired me to do more things on my own
I wish I had seen this video before I also used Nordli for my window seat in my bedroom. Mine is 108" long and I also increased the depth to 24" so it could double as an extra bed if needed. I was able to add two book case units at each end with glass cabinets above. My bedroom can now be like a min I apartment and library. Love the Nordli system for window seats.
Thank you so much for taking the time to walk through each step and show the progress along the way. I hope to recreate this in our home, though we have a side wall vent in the way, not sure how to work around that just yet.
This looks amazing, great work! You could add IKEA Norrfly wardrobe lighting with Trådfri adapter for really nice soft automatic lighting when you open the drawers.
Absolutely beautiful!! I've been wanting to do a window seat in my dining room with pantry storage. This is definitely a front runner. Thanks for sharing!!
UA-cam recommended this video to me in my feed as well, and I'm so glad they did!! This is just awesone!! It looks so custome and I really love the idea of a windowseat epecially with extra storage. This came out so beautiful and I definitely subscribed! Thanx so much for sharing this hack!
It looks amazing 😍 BUT: depending on your climate, it's important to leave a gap vor ventilation between the Bench units and the outside wall - to avoid mold behind the bench.
Very smart and actually quite doable. I would love to make this for my house but am aware that I will never achieve it to such a high standard. Also I love hydrangeas!
What can also work is a pair of underbed drawer units from a waterbed. A pair stacks to a height of about 18 inches which is standard height for a chair seat. The drawer units and framing are mainly wood components. You'll need a board to cover either end of the unit and a board for the top about 2x6 feet. That's large enough to function as a daybed. I would put the unit up on casters to make it easier to later clean, paint, rearrange, etc.
Just stumbled over your channel, and glad I did. Such a great way to create more space on a tight budget. This one went straight onto my Pinterest board!
Very clean. I have great ideas but am intimated by tools 🥺. And i always hear people saying there is not enough support and the boards will just collapse 😩. So i never tried. But this is inspirational.
Super helpful, you're very talented! I've been searching for a video to help me with my built-in dining room banquette project, I have the same issue with coving a power-point. Very clever! Thank you 🙏💕
Thanks for the super creative and informative video! I plan to follow your exact steps, any recommendations on the tools to cut the wood (when you build the base) for the beginner? Thank you!

I love how you considerate to the charging station space. it's simple detail but crucial and subtantial to this age. lol.
