“Regrettably we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election coming up in November against my administration,” the president said at a U.N. Security Council gathering he was chairing on stopping the spread of nuclear and chemical weapons."

Hence Saudi is a close ally of the US and China is a foe, while both being non-democratic. Hence albeit Taiwan was called the "lighthouse of democracy" for all Chinese ppl to admire and the US ended its diplomatic relationship with Republic of China and recognized Beijing as the only representative for all of China. Hence the UK had a democratic system for centuries while the Queen appointed governors to British colonies in the commenwealth and they all of a sudden wanted Hongkongers to have democracy just years before handing it back to China. What happened in the first whole century they ruled HK and didnt seem to give a F about Hongkongers' rights?
