The Secret Service was indeed brave and heroic--- in the moments after they were incredibly incompetent.
How was there NOT an agent stationed on a roof 130 yards from Trump?
Multiple people in the crowd saw the eventual shooter several minutes before the shooting started! How did no one in the Secret Service NOT see this guy in broad daylight? Why was Trump NOT hustled off the stage in the minutes BEFORE the shots rang out?
Why was Trump a head taller than his ENTIRE security detail? How were they supposed to shield Trump if every one of them is at LEAST 6" shorter than him?
Why was that one female agent so flustered that she fumbled her weapon for over a full MINUTE trying to holster her weapon?
Given all these problems, how is the head of the Secret Service--- Biden's former agent while he was VP--- NOT resigned or been fired?

There were multiple LE agencies involved, apparently with no single responsible person coordinating the overall job. Ultimately the failure of responsibility has to be on the SS. There were mostly male agents who weren’t covering him or holding him down. IMO, your desire to place blame on women stems from misogyny.

Back in 2021 when Bernie tried to attach the $15 minimum wage bill to the pandemic relief bill, the Senate Parliamentarian overruled Sanders. Biden said the process has to be respected. Biden and the Senate Dems let an unelected and anonymous bureaucrat decide the fate of the bill. The only thing that matters in DC is who has power and are they willing to use it.

The Dems know the truth though, that wages are actually determined by the free will of consumers willingness to spend or not to spend. And most years we have lower tax rates for the wealthy we actually produce more tax revenue because GDP is determined my mass collective human behavior. High tax rates change human behavior which causes tax revenue to go down instead of up like the " on paper" hypothetical says it will. It's called snapshot economics and it's always wrong because it makes unjustified assumptions that human behavior won't change if rates go up. Learn reality and then realize there is no reason for two political parties.😯

It is far too early to know whether yesterday's event will tilt this election in favor of Trump - especially once the Pubs reveal their platform this week at the convention, which won't be AT ALL geared to serving the American populace. You also don't know that having an open convention won't be "at all" unifying. A message of hope is a message about the future, and while I agree that the Dems need to create a clear and positive vision for the future, maybe the right person to deliver that message should be someone who - you know - will actually be around to see that future? That would give that person much more incentive to build toward that.
It's not the democrats call anymore. Biden would have to WILLINGLY step down first. The ball is entirely in his court, and having cognitive decline has a side effect of the person experiencing it to think they're totally fine. So unless Biden says "I'm stepping aside", then there's nothing anyone can do now.

-has integrity, has courage, truth seeker in general, thinks for himself (not a DNC/RNC puppet)
-not phony
-incorruptible, cannot be bought or bullied
-thoughtful and introspective, deeply considers problems and possible solutions
-vocal about the corruption of 'Citizens United' and the power of the big private money controlling government
-vocal about putting an end to corporate capture over government (Pharma, banks, oil, big AG, military industrial complex)
-wants to get us out of 'forever wars' and to pull back on and expose the corruption within the military industrial complex
-wants to pull back NATO and resolve the Ukraine problem via negotiations
-wants to bring the military budget back to 'Eisenhower minimum' and to instead invest that money in making us strong at home and in correcting our outrageous debt and growing inflation

-wants to bring preventative health more into public discourse; nutrition, exercise, etc
-will immediately close the border (this is not some republican scare issue, it is a very major issue - for many reasons)
-will send the necessary Asylum Judges to the border to expedite the process for legal migrants
-has an excellent plan to make homes affordable for all, including a program that backs mortgages at 3% and a tax structure to keep Black Rock from continuing to buy everyone out (this also will bring rent costs down dramatically)
-due to his family/background, he's well-learned from the inside of the various power structures
-due to his decades as an attorney successfully taking on major corporations, as well as government regulatory corruption, he is exceptionally well-suited for taking on the myriad of corporate capture over our government

-RFK Jr. is in support of Israel (as am I). However, this in no way means he isn't also in support of helping the innocent people within Gaza. RFK Jr. has always been very aware of the conditions for the people within Gaza, and is especially aware of, and feels deep heartache for, the Hell they are living in now. As President, he is a person who would do all he could to help seek lasting peace and prosperity for all in the region
-although RFK Jr. is a supporter of Israel, he is not a fan of Netanyahu, and has said repeatedly that he would not be writing him a blank check with American dollars to do with as he wishes
-there is no one who would fight harder or more tirelessly to reach out to everyone involved, as well as to leaders outside of the region, to try to negotiate and implement a sustainable peaceful solution for both the Israelis and the Palestinians. RFK Jr. would bring many ideas and a commitment to approaching the problem there from several different angles, and involving several other players. In fact, he would have been doing this before Oct. 7. (Simply yelling 'apartheid', 'genocide', etc is not in service of an actual solution - ask Hamas)
-and unlike anyone from the 2 major parties who supports Israel, RFK Jr. would never be lead by the corrupt (and disgusting) sheer financial interests of the Military Industrial Complex when it comes to any of America's foreign policy; including with Israel

He won't win. This is history literally repeating itself. Trump runs as a popularist. To win against him, you need a double digit lead in the polls. Back during Trump vs Clinton, Bernie Sanders had a double digit lead in the polls, but Democrats chose Clinton as the candidate to run against him, despite her small single digit lead (which is basically a tie....just like this time). The second she was nominated, I knew Trump would win. It's literally happening all over again. He's going to win. Maybe he needs to. Maybe the damage he is going to cause is what is needed to get the leaders within Democratic party to make better decisions.
