I had a triple black one. My favorite car ever owned. Hated to sell her, but gas prices forced me to sell when gas went up to $4 gal. Got her with under 10K miles for $6,000 from a farmer who had it stored in his barn thinking it would be worth alot as "the last convertable" ? Drove it every day for 6 years. Sure turned heads! Miss that one!!

I'm not normally a big fan of these '76 Eldorados, at least not as convertibles, but this one is so stunningly gorgeous!
Actually, I recently saw one remarkably similar to this one at a mechanic's garage in my hometown. It, also, was gorgeous. When these are black and have white walls, there's practically nothing more stylish.

This Cadillac Eldorado convertible is just beautiful. An often sometimes a little annoying little thing is the trunk squeak, when opening and closing,
I had a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado hardtop Coupe, in like new condition, way back in 1983, finished in white with matching quarter vinyl top, with contrasting red leather interior trim. It had that same annoying squeak on the trunk, very simple to fix, firstly put lots and lots of newspapers underneath the trunk hinges and then spray with lots of WD-40, make sure you spray all the way across, left to right, the WD-40 will drip quite a lot, hence all the old newspapers, to keep the oil of your trunk carpet etc. Leave the old papers inside the trunk for at least 24 hours, when you are sure there is no more dripping, carefully remove the paper, then lastly wipe around with clean paper. The trunk will never squeak again and you will also notice how smoothly the trunk will open and close. Also by doing this you will ease any possible stress on the trunk pull down mechanism. Have a nice one. Paul.
