I am a Rolls Royce Silver Spur lll man myself, but I can still appreciate the beautiful design and quality of the 1975 to 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop Coupe, having owned a new 1977 model, many years ago. 🇬🇧👍.
I worked at Lou Ehlers in Beverly Hills and I liked the 85 the best those Eldos from the 70s were so hard to work on because our lifts struggled to get them in the air fact I had one of those on a lift one day when the Earth began to shake and I ran out the door asap and all my coworkers got a big laugh.
I have zero dollars and am extremely sad , my grandfather had the same exact car and life has not been easy, gave you a thumbs up however will watch later if and when I feel better.
A family friend had two of this generation. A burgundy with black and white houndstooth interior. Then traded to a dark green with a green leather interior. He actually traded that for a new DeLorean when they came out. It was pretty cool at the time. But it had terrible mechanical problems so he went back to Eldorados and had a nice 85 Biarritz
A friend owned a '75 red convertible with white interior and top. With the top down and the fiberglass covers in place, it was a formidable sight, a real showstopper. As a young man, when I drove the car, it was obviously not my car, but my sugar daddy's. Ha! My buddy used Pours-o-lac finish on the paint that gave the appearance of the paint being liquid and 2" deep. I've not heard of the that product in years, but the finish really showed off red, and black paintjobs, and the slightest imperfection.
One of my favorite Cadillacs of all time. My parents had one in the early 80s when I was younger. I remember I begged them to save it for me until I was 16 lol. Of course it was a daily and had high mileage back then, so it didn't make it to 1995. Love the video!!
Beautiful vehicle !!! I love seeing classic cars being brought back to their former glory. Excellent job as always to the guys at Ammo NYC. Best detailers on UA-cam.
I have been detailing cars longer than Larry and before all these high tech products were ever conceived, we used Comet and brush to clean white vinyl tops at the Okds-Cadillac dealer I worked at in the 70s.
My dad and his best friend ordered matching 78 Cadillac Biarritz with CB radios. They were one serial number apart. I Sold his in 2000 with 30k miles and his friends on Ebay ten years later with less than a hundred miles on it. It brought almost the exact sticker price which I believe was around $17k
My favorite Gen of Eldorado were the late 60's. Just loved their styling and body lines. Followed by this generation Eldorado and the 6th generation, though the 4100 motor in the 82-85 was a nightmare.
I had a red 1971 Eldorado convertible (originally, it was Georgian silver). I bought this when I was 23 years old. I kept it for over 15 years. Great car with its huge 8.2 litre V8 and front wheel drive.
My dad won a 1975 Cadillac Calais in '75. First and last year that GM put a 500 cubic inch engine in a passenger car. That car was the smoothest ride of any car. Cranberry color.
Cheers to your team!!! Another magnificent job, for the car owner, for us as audience and for you, Larry, as detailer. Keep up the good job! We will keep by your side
I've owned 5 Eldorados, 69, 73, 81 (x2) ,84, they are all very impressionable vehicles. Today my daily drivers are the two 81's. One a black Biarritz the other a red Eldorado. With 1981 being the last year of cast iron 6 liter engines and smaller size they are the best. Easy to work on and easy to park. I also have a 70 SDV too. But parking lots have downsized the space (width) making parking a challenge.
Don l loved my 1970's caddies l owned 5 0f them 2 hard top 2 4dr Sedan and 1 Convertible. I drove a different one to work every day of the week. I lived in Dallas Tx at the time in mid 80's and l didn't pay more than $1500. Hundred for each one of them and all were one owners and low miles being under 40,000 miles. People just didn't want them anymore. I moved to Fla. In 1990 @took the 70 2 dr white w/ black vinal top & interior with me . I lived in Miami Beach and a man always asked me if l wanted to sell my car as it was a eye turner in perfect condition with only 75k miles. I kept refusing one day to my Surprise my car was gone.. Stolen from in front of my apt building not to be found It must have gotten shipped on a boat over seas.😢 l replaced it years later with a 1991 triple white Brougham with true and vogue and wire wheels. People always asked me if l wanted to sell it . And l refused as this one had 60k miles l was 2nd owner. I was coming home and broke a belt so the car just slowed down slower and slower till it stopped on the side of the turnpike. So l got out and had no phone but someone took me home so l could get my husband and some help when l returned to get the car about a hour later it was gone . I went to the hwy dept and they said they didn't tow it and turnpike is private property only hwy can order a tow truck or the owner of the car. So they reported it stolen. Even aft 2 yrs the Vin was never retitled. I didn't want that to happen again. So l found a low mile Buick la Sabre w40k it was a 12/2004 car sold in 12/2005 titled in 1/2006. l bought it in 2010 from a girl who inherited it from her grandmother and she drove a Mazda miata. She asked $7500- l paid $4000. I think l got a good deal on a 4 yr old car that now has 81,000k l still own it. No rust, no accidents, and when people ask me if l want to sell it . I put my steering wheel lock on it . Even when l go into the gas stations..Call me paranoid 😅😮😮 l have learned my lessons. Be aware of admirers of your whips....
I forgot to add this statement that my Dad always said as he was a truly devoted Cadillac driver till the day he died. "There is Nothing like the Feel of a Wheel of a Cadillac " he would say & l would agree. I miss my caddy.....give a thumbs up if you agree...thanks
I owned a 72 convertible in 1985. Also set in a barn for years. The car was huge! We use to go to a drive in theater with 4 couples comfortably seated. I loved the car but sold when in the Navy.
Tip for decomposing under-bonnet protectors, remove and paint them with some black rattle-can paint. End up looking great and it sticks everything back together. All without hurting the performance.
Nothing beats white vinyl on red. Reminds me of my grandfather's 75 Ford Fairlane 500 ZF. That was metallic ruby with a white vinyl top. That top was murder to keep clean but when she was cleaned, she attracted crowds in the parking lots.
I love Cadillacs. I am partial to a 1956 Eldorado Seville, partly because I have one. First year for the Seville, vinyl tops, electric antenna, electric trunk release and wind down. Red with gold grille and wheels. This is one beautiful Eldorado, would look good next to my 75 Coupe DeVille!
Dang it, Larry! You made me feel guilty enough to go wash my car this daylight-savings Sunday morning. And, MAN, that four-square video feed was a nice touch.
Wow amazing condition love this 209 mile Cadillac eldorado It’s blows my mind how someone can resist not driving such a jem like this this car should be in a museum
I’d love to know the back story as to why a brand car sat in a barn for 45 years!! As always I enjoyed your videos!! You are a car detailing guru!!!!!!
THere was a man that lived next door to my grandmother back in the 70's and he was a car collector. The last year they made that style he bought 10 Eldorado convertibles and put them in a warehouse in Palm Springs, CA. His son used to go on weekends and go through his collection start and run the engines to keep them oiled and the seals lubricated. He took one to the Concourse but got dinged for having a japanese starter on it.
WOW ! Fantastic job Larry, hats off to you and your men. I love these oldies but goodies. Truth be told, I remember driving the Eldo when it was new. Yeah, I am old. Man, what a fantastic gem.
This is the exact model car I drove to my high school prom! Same exact year & color, but our car had the sunroof and was the Biarritz edition. It was a giant boat of a car and felt like you were driving a cloud! Prior to the Cadillac, we had a 1968 Olds Toronado, which was an even more interesting car. Rocket 455 high compression V8 front wheel drive (same basic front drive unit as the Cadillac) but much, much faster. Great memories!
Great video and process! I hope whoever wound up with the car had a wealth of patience to find the items it was in desperate need of. The electrical trunk lid pulldown motor was inop. Probably why the trunk retained moisture. Without the motor's operation to pull the lid down, it stands proud of the weatherstrip, allowing moisture in. It also appeared the majority of the headlight adjustment stands were broken. Very common on those cars, but next to impossible to locate. We're having some fun now, right?
My dad had an eldorado biarritz that looked just like this, red with a half white vinyl top. It was big and heavy. He had Vogue tires on it which looked nice but they didin't last long due to the weight of the car.
58, My wealthy great-grandmother had the Eldo and a sedan to drive around. When she passed her estate couldn't get rid of them even though they were promised to this 11-year-old boy. Hey, it was the mid 70's and they couldn't wait to sell them both for pennies on the dollar. They were both "Gunmetal" and built by GM just for her. The Eldorado saw the most use all summer long!
Another awesome detail video! It is just soo relaxing watching that dirt get shed from these cars. My father aught me about using steel wool on chrome, whitewalls (and letters) and glass for stubborn dirt and whatnot years ago. it always surprises people when they see me break it out to clean their cars. A favorite era/generation for Caddys is tough for me. I love the late 50s/early 60s chrome showboats with those giant tailfins. I do have a love affair with the hood goddesses of previous years though. They are one of my favorite things to photograph on the old Cadillacs. I also must add that about any of the Cadillacs in hearse format are spectacular.
Really cool car, one of the dealers I used to work for had a 76 Eldorado Bicentennial Edition in the showroom. Car was untitled and had 21 miles on it. When the dealer sold to a bigger group the original owner kept it. Not sure where it ended up going.
I remember this car very well along with the Olds Toronado. Massive cars but no back leg room. Doors so big if you parked uphill you couldn’t get out. The back seat also had a door latch to open the doors.
Another great video Larry! High quality audio and video! Gives me ideas to make my videos better. I'm still miles and miles behind your perfection though!
1959 Cadillac Baritz convertible is the most beautiful!!! My dream car actually. 250,000 up to 500,00 that is why it's my Dream car. I guess I will have to keep Dreaming!!!
Super Amazing detail… never seen one like that before!! And kudos to getting rid of cat urine - I despise that stench!! The 1978 El D brings back memories for me as my stepdad used to be a staunch Cadillac guy - he got a new one every year during that era of the early to late 1970s!! And he had the 8 track cassette player too!!😆I love those cars - they don’t make’em like that anymore! If I was buying this particular car - I’d be concerned about replacement parts if needed and dry rotted tires…. Anyway… Fantastic work!!
I love seeing these cars get the care they deserve.
Some would argue that a car was built to be driven and it’s a shame this thing sat in a barn and has such low miles. Blah blah blah.

Boa Renan! O Brasil ta aqui com vc! Abração!

That "1/4 vinyl" is called a "Landau top".
Beautiful vehicle !!! I love seeing classic cars being brought back to their former glory. Excellent job as always to the guys at Ammo NYC. Best detailers on UA-cam.
Thanks so much for watching!
It brought almost the exact sticker price which I believe was around $17k
thanks for showing love to the land yacht
My favorite Gen of Eldorado were the late 60's. Just loved their styling and body lines. Followed by this generation Eldorado and the 6th generation, though the 4100 motor in the 82-85 was a nightmare.
I had a red 1971 Eldorado convertible (originally, it was Georgian silver). I bought this when I was 23 years old. I kept it for over 15 years. Great car with its huge 8.2 litre V8 and front wheel drive.
I had a 1971 Eldorado hard top but it was a beautiful car. I drove it until l bought a 1986 slant back Sa'ville
My Dad had exactly that one, and here in Deutschland! good catch Champ!🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸💪🏻
I've never polished anything before. Here soon I'm going to do my 85 camaro that's sat outside for 10yrs. Let's hope it goes well
Fantastic episode, oldtimer having a wash with shinny R8 in the backround, great combination and a great video as always 🙂
1959 Cadillac Miller Meteor Hearse/Ambulance is honestly the best. It’s what they used for Ghostbusters
Love the content Larry!!! Huge inspiration for my own detailing business!!! Keep doing what your doing. Much love!!
Thanks Matt!
@@AMMO-NYC when y’all cleaned & detailed the ‘78 E, why didn’t you consider using red touch up paint around the back Eldorado right side marker light?
Wow , Elvis has left the building.
I remembered these when new working at a new gm dealership in Denver they were beautiful.
My dad won a 1975 Cadillac Calais in '75. First and last year that GM put a 500 cubic inch engine in a passenger car. That car was the smoothest ride of any car. Cranberry color.
187k views only 8k likes.. come on guys. Larry has taught us so much. If anyone deserves it.. its him.
If you don't go to Brasil, Brasil goes to you: "Nossa senhora que delicia!" maluco é brabo
Cheers to your team!!! Another magnificent job, for the car owner, for us as audience and for you, Larry, as detailer.
Keep up the good job! We will keep by your side
Fully agree outstanding job apply 'd on a magnificent car i really love these type of Eldorado hard to find one in such great shape !
Don l loved my 1970's caddies l owned 5 0f them
2 hard top 2 4dr Sedan and 1 Convertible.
Stolen from in front of my apt building not to be found
It must have gotten shipped on a boat over seas.😢 l replaced it years later with a 1991 triple white Brougham with true and vogue and wire wheels. Even aft
2 yrs the Vin was never retitled.
59 Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz is my fave. I had always hoped to be able to buy my mom one. She grew up in that era and always loved the car.
Love the way polished red paint shines✨
My dad had a trble black 78 Eldorado the 78 was my favorite Eldorado 79 also it was a joy to see this car
I owned a 72 convertible in 1985. Also set in a barn for years. The car was huge! We use to go to a drive in theater with 4 couples comfortably seated. I loved the car but sold when in the Navy.
1:30 I see this car came from McHenry, IL.
I ride with the McHenry Bicycle Club and have asked our members if anyone remembers this car.
Cheers!
The 1967 Eldo is a work of mid century art. Timeless, restrained, elegant. This is a beautiful car as well, just a different era of glitz and excess.
My dad's dream car has always been, at least since it existed, the 1975 Eldorado ragtop. I always love when I see video related to his dream car.
Amazing. My dad had several Cadillac's growing up. Everything was so massive back then. Beautiful restoration. 👍
Man that thing belongs in a museum with those kind of miles
Dang it, Larry! You made me feel guilty enough to go wash my car this daylight-savings Sunday morning.
And, MAN, that four-square video feed was a nice touch.
Wow that interior brought back memories. My grandpa would drive these and get a new one every few years. It was like riding in a huge couch lol
One of my first cars was a 1973 eldorado. White convertible with red interior, still wish I had that car. Mom gave it away when she “left”
Love seeing cars like this brought back way more than seeing the latest super car get detailed
Not really and they're gas hogs
I like watching these older cars get cleaned up far more than newer sportscars and supercars. The character and history makes them more interesting.
That's all their good for is looks
Looks sweet this and that 82 TA are some of the coolest on your channel.
My dad had an eldorado biarritz that looked just like this, red with a half white vinyl top. It was big and heavy. He had Vogue tires on it which looked nice but they didin't last long due to the weight of the car.
I really enjoy the information in your programs. I really love seeing all of these vehicles come back to life! What a beautiful end result! BRAVO!
🎉
58, My wealthy great-grandmother had the Eldo and a sedan to drive around. When she passed her estate couldn't get rid of them even though they were promised to this 11-year-old boy. Hey, it was the mid 70's and they couldn't wait to sell them both for pennies on the dollar. They were both "Gunmetal" and built by GM just for her. The Eldorado saw the most use all summer long!
Definitely agree the 1958 El Dorado was one of the most beautiful cars ever designed
Holy cow what a find
Another great video Larry! High quality audio and video! Gives me ideas to make my videos better. I'm still miles and miles behind your perfection though!
I love the way you treat cars the way they deserve it...❤❤❤. I am from Sri Lanka
SO AWESOME TO SEE RENAN HE IS SUCH AN AWESOME PERSON!!!
1959 Cadillac Baritz convertible is the most beautiful!!! My dream car actually. 250,000 up to 500,00 that is why it's my Dream car. I guess I will have to keep Dreaming!!!
My dad had a 76. Nice to see another one of those cars again!
This guy is the best car detailer in the world.
Beautiful job
Truly agree the 1958 Eldorado’s is amazing
This car is absolutely magnificent ! My father owned a 1975 Eldorado. Same body style. Sure wish I had kept that car.....
I'm amazed at the science of detailing.
