Just a couple of things. The door handle in the recessed area on the passenger door is for the rear seat passenger to get in and out of the car. Someone in the rear seat would never be able to reach all the way up to the front passenger door handle. For some reason Cadillac didn't put this rear handle on the driver's side. Also that little "laser" thing on the rear seat is the fiber optic brake light indicator. When you step on the brakes, you could look in the rear view mirror and see if both little red lights were on, you knew that your back brake lights were working. You didn't circle back to the fiber optic indicators on the front fenders. Those will indicate that your headlights, turn signal and bright lights are working. Nice video and very thorough! 😊

One of my favorite classic cars, great job on the review I really enjoyed it.
The binnacle down by the passenger seat was an optional litter container. It also slides out easily when it needs to be emptied or cleaned.
The two little red lights below the rear window are part of the fiber optics lamp monitoring system. Through a series of fiber-optic cables, they are actually connected to the rear lights. They will glow red when the tail lights are on. They will glow brighter red when you step on the brakes, or when the signal is used. If they don't light up, then that means you have a bulb burnt out. There are also fiber optics on each corner of the hood. Each one of those units has three fiber optic connections, one that shows when the headlight works, one that shows when the high beam works, and one that shows when the parking light is on and when it blinks. The fiber optic system was offered on various GM products in all five GM divisions from late 1967 up until the middle 90's. Near the end only the full size Cadillacs were offering the fiber optic system.
Oddly enough Chevrolet had them before Cadillac which did not offer them until 1971.

That's awesome! I swear Christopher and I learn more about these old cars every day. And we were truly astonished by the technology that Cadillac had back in 1976!
