I love the lower chrome belt molding and the turbine center wheel covers on this year. The Eldorado trim was understated but very classy. One of their best years IMO.

Among other things, I love how all of the trim around the inside of the windshield is chrome plated metal...Try finding that on any of "today's" trash!

No need to specify that it's a convertible when the top is down and until 1967, ElDorado only came in convertible.
So which is it, rust free or “basically” rust free?
Just one tip never leave the keys in the trunk lock when opening!

I believe that's a sensor to switch off the high beams automatically when there is oncoming traffic. ))

autronic eye - it is a sensor that senses headlights from oncoming cars that dims your lights from high beam to low beam so that you don't blind the oncoming driver

Dashboard plastic is awful; rough and hazy. Dash cap has been re padded. Not original. I wonder how much else has been reworked. I do like the headlights.
