    Aviator glasses, sleeves rolled up three inches, hair slicked back, arm on the door, cigar, 'green onions' song playing loud. Enjoying the fruits of a seven figure net worth. And finally, that smirk you give yourself as you turn the wheel cruising around a bend slow😏.

    I love it! Those old Eldorados really had style and an unmistakable road presence. Not like the crap that Cadillac is building today. Thanks for sharing with us!

    This has to be one of the best ride alongs I've seen on UA-cam . This guy has a very classy and informative way of describing this car!

    beautiful car with plenty of power. My friends parents had one in high school, he would drive it to all the band practices, and it was a great ride.

    I had a 1969 Eldorado.. 472 CI.. 7.7 ltr.(375 hp 535flb torque) FWD... rode so nice.. Factory light purple/pink.. Wisteria.. was a limited GM color back then.. Driving it down the street when the Lexus craze came about.. I would get the nods even from those owners.. Just a Majestic car well made... but 8mpg city 14-16mph hwy and no parking became an issue.. You do need space to own and drive these.. Today's parking spaces are too short and too narrow .. You can't open the doors with a car parked next to you.. I remember once after a snow storm, people were digging out their 4x4s..I cleared the snow off the car.put it in drive and plowed right out..If I only had the storage space..

    I had a 1956 like the white Eldo. The standing joke was that it would pass anything on the road except a filling station. About 8 MPG in town. Gas was cheap then. My wife said I had to plan at least a block ahead to turn a corner. BIG BLUE how can we forget you?

    Ken and I used to ride up to Canada in my 64 Buick Riveria in 1967. Maybe, just maybe I rubbed off on him alittle. As for riding around in the winter with the top down, we would ride in Cliff Elliott's 1958 Chevy Impala freezing our fannies off, but that at the time in 1967 was fun. Ken and I would drive to Ohio so we could buy beer at the Twlight Bar. Those were the days. He was a damn good drummer. I will miss him and have often thought of Ken for a number of years and the good times we had. He drove a nice car there. Rudy Warren

    I love and have had many Eldos and have always dreamed of having one of these beasts with a snow plow and a set of Goodyear M&S Eagles in Chicago plowing the streets with the top down and please don't forget to mount the yellow tinted rotating gum ball machine to the center top of the windshield frame !

    Great video, love the way it way shot and edited. You guys should do more owner videos like this. It's great to hear the owners stories and let them show off their cars. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find owners willing to show off their cars, I would sign up. Keep up the great work!

      +Robert Morales Very impressed with the smoothness, especially the follow shots taken from a moving vehicle. The cameraman must have had some sort of stabilizer.

    Of course, anyone who expects this to be a cornering car misses the whole point.
    It's meant for comfy, relaxed cruising, where part of the pleasure of the trip is the ride.
    A lovely way to drive to, say, a vacation in the Florida Keys in December, in the middle of that long bridge of U.S. 1 with the top down, the sun up, and your lady by your side.

    • @242HP
      @242HP 7 років тому +2

      Absolutely. People today just don't get that driving shouldn't be about getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Take your time and enjoy the ride!

      Nah, they’re nice but I’d say they best looking Cadillac would be the 1966 Eldorado. Clean lines, great shape, great interior with minimum vinyl and plastic and lots of chrome placed well. Not too gaudy.

    • @viciouspoodle5543
      @viciouspoodle5543 Рік тому +1

      @@LaDivinaLover I think the 1966 Eldorado has REAL wood veneer inside! And heated seats were an option in 1966! That was a great year. The only strange thing about the '66 models, is the lower level DeVille convertible had this fabulous thick wide chrome molding over the doors and B pillar window while the Eldorado did not. Usually the Eldorado model had the more bling!

      Asian cars being reliable, !!CHEAP!!, and compact. Now that Asian cars aren’t cheap anymore American manufacturers don’t want to take a chance with great styling and comfort. It’s all about “performance and power”.

    The 67s were cool but after that the Eldorado got ugly.
