Thanks man I couldn't get mine going at all was thinking that's it its had its time but I took my time with your video and wow got it working OK a little wet but ill dry off thanks again buddy 👍👍
Brandon - GREAT video! I am here in NY where we are supposed to be staying inside sue to the Coronavirus. I noticed my filter was moving EXTREMELY little water. I figured The broken up moss balls in my tank clogged up the filter. So I tore down the filter and cleaned it all up. THE IT WOULD NOT PRIME!!!! I found your video. I have the same exact Fluval 306. First I cleaned up the check ball which was a BIG mess. STILL IT WOULDN'T prime. So I took the priming housing apart like you showed. I put some vaseline on the piston surface, put the filter back together and it primed and RAN GREAT! I couldn't have done it without this video! Thank you thank you thank you!! If I hadn't found this video I probably would have had to get a new pump and that probably isn't happening with everything being closed.
I am 4 years late. I want to thank you for your video!! You have no idea how much you saved me from losing my mind!! I primed that pump for a day..didn't work. Broke the aquastop, had to order an new one and it still didn't work. Thought the whole unit was trashed. It was the stop ball. There so much gunk that it the ball didn't even move(mine wasn't clear. Its black so I couldn't see how bad it got). Followed your tutorial and BAM!! It worked after one pump. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
Great video. Easy to understand. I accidently broke the shaft and needed to replace it. Taking the time to do posts like this is gods work man. Thanks.
Really informative and well delivered content . Thank you 🙏 just got a 306 second hand, the primer didn't work and it was leaking... now with your video I think I can fix it 😊
Thank you! This helped me so much❤️❤️❤️ Your time was appreciated and you showed me what I can tear apart and what I can’t. As you probably guessed I got a 2nd hand tank, she did not tell me the filter was so messed up😬 I’ve replaced all moving parts
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I had a 180 gal for a few years but had to move and was forced to get rid of it. I miss it to this day. Ive recently gotten up and running a 55 gallon. Always African cichlids and always fluval canisters. I wish I would’ve seen this before I got my fluval primed and running. Better late then never as I’ve learned a few things. I think the best part was how to properly take the lid off without all of that struggling. That right there was priceless and if that was the only thing that I had learned from this video it would’ve been well worth it. So again I thank you for a beautiful presentation. Your patience and way of clearly and simply explaining is just amazing and I’m looking forward to other videos you may have posted.
In the past i have struggled mightily to remove upper section from lower section in order to open canister up. I once got frustrated and decided to pull it apart using its electrical cord on top section. It worked. No damage done but realize not a smart move. Lol. I watched this video and learned how to properly open canister using the white clips on the sides. Much easier and effective. I must of missed reading that in the manual. Thank You for showing me that. Great video.
i did the same thing for years. used a butter knife. then someone showed me the handles. i feld dumb, but the instructions are not clear. so oh well. glad it helped! :)
I can't get it open for the life of me. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Lift the white caps open, close the lower lugs onto the cannister sides and then try to push gently down but its stuck I think. Im too scared to break this shit, it's not that old either and haven't used it much yet. £90 filter don't really want to break it but I got to get it open.
I'm not sure exactly what I did... But taking it apart and putting it back together got mine working.... And honestly better than when I got it.. So thank you!!
I felt something give last time I used my primer, I now should be able to take it to bits and see what broke! I think the shaft might have come off the end of the piston. Excellent and helpful video!
You sir, are a fucking genius! Had no luck trying to get any suction from my 206 filter for nearly a week, I would’ve given up after tonight and bought a new filter. Lifesaver!
Thanks, Brandon! Just picked up a used 206 at my aquarium club and was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work. Your video was a big help in that process. I'm surprised at how finicky this filter can be, even for someone who's no mechanical dummy.
That is an excellent presentation! I watched this because I had been having trouble getting my 306 to prime. I am pretty sure that my problem was caused by the fact that I took the intake strainer off, to clean it. The check ball was off the pipe, and it let a lot of water out. Why did I take the strainer off? Its slots are large enough to suck in fishes, and so I have covered it with a cloth bag with an elastic rim. Some gunk covers the bag and it needs to be cleaned about once a week. The uncovered strainer had sucked in and killed a panda cory fish. Poor little thing! It also sucked in two tiny galaxy rasboras (those are very small), but I found them inside the filter and was able to rescue them. They must have been stressed out. I consider this a design flaw. Pandas are not that tiny. I appreciate very much that you went slowly, and spoke really clearly. Your diction is excellent - not all that common these days. Thanks very much! The cat is a nice touch, too. You have a very nice specimen.
thank you again for the awesome comments. I took the strainer off so I can attach the universal surface skimmer. this sucks water from the bottom of the tank as well as the surface to keep the oils, cat hairs, and debris out of the water. makes for better oxygen transfer from standing air to water also. this 306 however is in a tank with only 1 large turtle. so no fishes will be harmed, unless it is feeding time and i forget to shut off the pump. ooopsies. lol.
Great video - thanks so much! I was easily able to fix all the problems with my Fluval Thanks for your patience and kindness in making this easy to follow video
This is a great video! My 407 wouldn’t prime. Finally got it to Prime, but now it’s making noise when it’s on which it never did before. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
My tank had been ready for the longest (beginner by the way) but I was never able to start my filter so therefore I was never able to get fish but I did every step in your video and somehow I fixed it I don’t know exactly what was wrong with it but I know it works now thank you so much!!!!!!😭😭😭
thanks to your video , I got mine going , I was wondering what was keeping it from working, turns out that little white thing (the shaft)was not lined up with the Impaler, looks like it's broken, but it still working after I lined it up. I assuming there's a replacement? I look for that next. thanks
I have only just bought one of these, have not set it up yet, it will be a secondary on a cichlid tank, the current filter needs a bit of help. Your video showed a lot of interesting pieces, good to know what parts of the filter that i can take apart and trouble shoot. Thanks!
Thank you so much I had the clean my intake with the check ball it was clogged up that is why it was not working good thing I watched your video I would have threw my canaster away just had to clean it lol appreciate you for helping me out keep up the good work more videos please
A very informative video on the Fluval priming system. What I have found that works best for me , since I clean all of my hoses each time I clean my filter, is with the 90 degree hose holder off and the intake tube off I use a funnel to manually fill the hose back up. Then I put the the intake tube and check valve back on ( so the water I just poured into the hose doesn't escape). The reattach the 90 degree hose holder. When I plug the filter back in, it is good to go with no priming needed. Also something I saw on a Fluval video ( I think ) is that it's best to have the output above the water line when starting up your filter. No sure why but it seems to help. After start up you can put it back below the water line if so desired ( per me not per the video I watched) I would like more information on your intake setup with surface cleanr. Is that a Fluval product or is that from another company?
good infos. filling the tubes before priming can definitely help. keeping the output above water makes it easier for the air in that line to escape, so it doesn't have to push through water first. Ill try to make a video on those skimmers when I get a chance
Great video! My primer went out and Fluval sent me another one and this video helped me see exactly how to replace it and I learned so many other things about my Fluval 206 filter too! Thanks so much!
Great video mate... Well done!!! I watched them both. The other one "rebuild the motor" and I thought it fantastic too...thank you very much, makes a huge difference. Do you have any video talking about the aqua valves?? Something about fixing leak on it or something like that?? I have a leak on my fluval 306 and im still battling to discover what exactly to replace first... I have cleaned and greased the seal rubber in the head but it seems to be still there attormenting the life!!! Again, thank you very much for your help!
Hi there, I havent had to work on a aquastop while ive had these filters. I do know the valve can go out and become a huge headache. From what ive seen online, people typically replace the whole assembly over rebuilding because they are tough to get into. Hope you can get yours going soon
If you're careful enough, you can remove the rubber ring around the primer head and - like you did in the past, lube the entire rubber seal. I also went as far as lubricating the stem of the primer valve after lubing the tiny O ring seal inside the head of the pump.
Would it not work if one of the propeller blades broke? I ordered a new maintenance kit and can you believe the same brand new piece (propellor blade) arrived broken? They are great , the seller on amazon and immediately issued a refund and don’t take refunds as they say it messes up their inventory. Two days later have a new one coming I hope this is what the issue is. I also have the Fluval 206 that has a broken priming pump so ordered one too. Going to fix these up and sell them! We’re just sitting in my garage and didn’t know what to do. Now hopefully I can sell them. I also have the Fluval G6 which is so easy to use. I don’t need the other 2 really unless I want to get rid of one of the HOB filters I have on my 150 gallon freshwater tank. I have fancy goldfish: orandas, black moors, pleco, ans had Koi but they made too much ammonia waste. Thanks so much! I may make a video too!
The pump will work, but with a impeller broken, it will be off balance and cause vibrations. the impellers are usually a cheap replacement that I find on ebay or amazon. good luck!
Thanks man they sent another one and can you believe it arrived broken AGAIN?!!! Looks like it come directly from Fluval like it’s already packaged and they resell them maintenance kit. Same issue, broken blade in each brand new propeller. I contacted the manufacturer and haven’t heard back yet. How annoying!
Ok now I so I cannot for the life of me get the damn lid back in flush. No matter what I do there is a small fan around the lid and the canister. I noticed water in my floor what can I do to get the lid on right? I know it’s so simple but it just won’t sit flush UGH my hand hurts trying over and over to get it on
The primer will never get all the air out. I simply tilt the filter a little from side to side and that takes care of any trapped air. I move it side to side and front to back until no bubbles are coming out of the output.
do you have a big beard or are you holding the canister filter sponge between your teeth? lol just jonking!! :) Thanks for taking the time to explain everything, great video! :)
Hello, thanks for this very detailed/helpful video! Could you please provide me with the name of the skimmer adapter or a link to where It could purchased? I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks again!
Hello there, sorry for the delay. I got this skimmer from amazon. it is a universal adapter type so comes with many different fittings depending on your filter. it works very well. thank you for stopping by!
Cleaned my fluval 206 today and now won’t prime watched the video disassembled mine and cleaned it all out it back together still didn’t work noticed air on the piston is passing by on the strokes and I’m curious of what kind of grease / lubricant your using I know you meant ion silicone but is that in every location of the rubber seals?
Does anyone know how to remove this primer piston on my Fluval 207 series? The rubber seal has faller off and not sure how to get the piston out to replace it
Oh Brandon. I cannot figure out how to make my 406 act like it should. I've torn it apart and cleaned it three times today --- and I still get the rattling rocks sound and NO WATER MOVEMENT. The thing is two years old. I've checked every possible thing that UA-cam suggests. It's still sounds like rocks in a tumbler.
My impeller cover clip where it says push that part is broken so should I buy new cover or can I use the same cover with the broken clip which does fits in kinda ok where my filter is working now without any problem when I opened the filter after few hours of use to check if the cover opened up fully or not but luckily it was only slightly open kinda 1 mm size what’s your advise ?
In case this helps anyone, mine was sucking air somehow. Turns out I didn't use the rubber piece to connect the in hose to the aquastop valve. Weirdly it worked no issue for over a year and no leaks or air issues until now. Replaced the hose with the rubber ended one and issue resolved.
Brandon's Turtles It’s kinda bit costly just for a impeller cover Iam from india they sell this cover for 13 dollars in online in amazon How much do you pay for the impeller cover ? anyways thanks for your advice as you said impeller shaft might break if the cover comes of while running and I don’t want to risk damaging shaft because of the cover so I just now place order online for new cover :) in online it says title as Fluval 306/406 Impeller Cover (Black/Red) does that mean this single cover can fit for 306 and 406 model ? I thought 406 will come with bigger cover ? and 306 with small cover ? Please clear my confusion also let me know if I can fix that cracked plastic impeller cover as a temporary fix untill the new impeller cover arrives home can I do a temporary fix as by heating the one end of the cracked plastic and join those plastic by heating it and pressing those plastic togeather and dry the plastic for few minutes and then use it in my aquarioum tank for filtering ?
+Prasanth Prashu you can try to melt them together as a temporary fix. Don't use glue. The 306 and 406 are the same. Just different media setup and canister size.
My 407 priming valve is stuck I cannot release it after taking off the piece of black plastic mine contains a white piece of plastic which I cannot remove so my priming valve is stuck any ideas please it's only 5months old your one looks alot more easier or the priming valve is totally different any ideas apart from returning to hagen would be very helpful thanks
Hello there, sorry for the delay. I have not had a chance to use a 407, looking at pictures, it seems pretty similar. the priming valve underneath may have disconnected from the priming shaft. looks like it snaps in place. you may be able to pull the plunger out from the bottom of the motor housing using a suction cup or anything to be able to pull it downward. or if it is disconnected from the priming rod, press the plunger upward to reconnect it into the shaft. again I haven not used one of these, but super hope this helps. don't force the plastic. good luck!!!!
@@BrandonsTurtles no worries I'm on to fluval for replacement or refunds the new hose and connectors I bought the return one won't snap tight against the glass if I can try to explain the left hand 407 has the outtake strainer on the correct side but if u connect the right side up that way the hoses cross, now as u know they are gravity fed systems so I cannot even get the filter to fill up ? I'm ganna speak to hagen who make fluval products for replacement and refund of my money for parts and also if needs be get rid of this filter they are so old skool no offence but I was using them 30 years ago they worked perfectly then but on this travesty of a so called aquaone 300litre aquarium it's limited to the filter size not only that it's a lovely looking piece of furniture once u spend 6 hrs trying to put it together they advocate u pit the filters in cabinet 2 and 3 ??? So now all the draws are held on with gorilla glue and gaffer tape I can't even get the almost impossible glass plastic runners on the tank it's a very expensive mistake one of which I will invite aquaone to my home to show me how they can't be fitted and never ever buy aquaone only the external filter was good it's an ocellaris 1400. Thanks for the reply and happy fish keeping.
If I remember correctly the FX4 has more electronics. I'd look at the over all flow rate and how much space is has for mediums and sponge filters. I'm sure it's great but keep in mind that the more things is has, the more things can break. I find these (I have 2 305's) are very basic, it's really just an impeller system as the only moving part, and because of that have less things that can break or malfunction. Look into SunSuns as well, ive heard good things and they have a built in UV sterilizer.
Ah, just saw you said hoses. There should be measurement on their website. Otherwise go to home Depot and bring your filter and measure it that way. Probably cheaper.
Hello A Mano. I believe the fluval filters mostly use the same diameter hoses. Some use a ribbed hose, some are smooth, but I believe they are compatible with other filters. Double check first. :)
Question ⁉️🙋♀️ Has anyone ever experienced thier canister filter leaking from the prime assembly?! I have a 207 canister filter by Fluval. I had a slow leak coming from the shaft of the primer. So I order the exact replacement part an installed it… also purchased and installed new media but after I reassembled…. The leak is WORSE 🤯😖 with new part. I have no idea why the water is seeping from the primer handle. Or where to go from here 😑😫 I don’t have cash to buy a whole new filter 😕 an have found nothing helpful online Any advice would be helpful 🚨 thank you!
Hello there! ok. so the primer assembily has a lower seal on the bottom of the plunger. the largeround part that slides in the housing to push water in and out. check the rubber around that to seeif there are any breaks inthe rubber. next there is a very small round gasket on the top of that shaft near the top of the canister housing. i cant remember exactly if it is accessed by the top or the inisde of the cover. but that tiny shaft gasket may be missing or damaged. it is frequently overlooked. if that doesnt help, let me know, i'll come up with other ideas in the meanwhile. GOOD LUCK!!!! B
hi, i have a question, my electricity is going off for 5 hours, should I unplug it, or just leave it plugged into the wall, and when the electricity goes back on it will just start...
+Frank Vincy when it comes back on it should be ok to continue. Sometimes it needs to prime but as long as there is no air in the canister it should start up immediately. Sorry for the answer delay
Reason I ask is because I have a northern painted turtle who I just transferred to a 75 gallon tank and I added a Fluval 406 canister filter along with a few other elements inside the tank for her like the Zilla tree stump floating basking platform as well as a hollow half log so she can hide in and just a standard fish tank Rock decor. The reason I transfer her to the bigger tank with a better filter was because the original 20 L Zilla aquatic turtle tank it was too small and got dirty quickly 2 quickly and the filter wasnt cutting it. Now the problem I'm running into is that she's having a hard time with the extra depth of water to be able to climb on The two basking platforms I have for her and I'm concerned that it might cause an issue. Do you think I should add some kind of stepping Stone system for her. I can send you pictures of the set up if you'd like just let me know
sorry for the delay. yes add a stepping stone ramp to help. i was way worried about the swimming capabilities of a stinkpot musk turtle i had and she was actually a really good swimmer, just really lazy when i was watching her. but better to be on the cautious side
Hi there! I will be very thankful for the answer. Do you recommend this filter at all? I was collecting money as I thought that it worth investment, and that it’s the best on market. I had no idea it can have problems?... And if not what would you recommend?
+emily Racz every filter can have problems. However the few problems with the Fluval 306s, have been very small and easy to fix. I very much recommend this filter. I have 2. They have been running for almost 3 years each.
The priming system needs 2 main parts. the checkball and the little red flap under the primer housing. between both, when you prime the water is only allowed to travel in one direction. I have had to fill the canister mostly full then seal it to get it to prime before. Hope you get it working. Sorry for the delay
+Lisa Bijarro it will cause the impeller to shake and eventually stop. Could cause damage. You will more than likely have to buy a new shaft. They can't really be repaired

Honestly shame on fluval for not including a video like this on a dvd with the pump. The manual seems woefully inadequate!
Manual:
start filter dry
Everybody who has ever owned one:
start the filter full of water
Thanks, Brandon! Just picked up a used 206 at my aquarium club and was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work. Your video was a big help in that process. I'm surprised at how finicky this filter can be, even for someone who's no mechanical dummy.

How do you know if your primer is broken?
Great video - thanks so much! I was easily able to fix all the problems with my Fluval Thanks for your patience and kindness in making this easy to follow video
This is a great video! My 407 wouldn’t prime. Finally got it to Prime, but now it’s making noise when it’s on which it never did before. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
Check the red impeller lid to see if it is fully seated
Thank you!! We were trying to make a functional 406 out of two broken ones. How to remove the primer handle..... You saved us, and the fish!
Thank you. I hadn't been using the side clamps to force the top up. That is a neat trick.
Wasn't sure how to get the primer knob off and you helped. Thanks.
Super thanks for posting! I replaced my intake with sponge end and couldn’t get it to prime. Makes sense now.the purpose of the ball.
yay, you're welcome
Thanks a lot , you saved me from spending my money to buy a new one..... my best wishes 😊

What about the red square on top that locks the piping on as mine is broke on lock position is that problem

Eff... I have been a doofus as well.... thanks for pointing out how to open these.
Thank you so much I had the clean my intake with the check ball it was clogged up that is why it was not working good thing I watched your video I would have threw my canaster away just had to clean it lol appreciate you for helping me out keep up the good work more videos please

Hope you can get yours going soon
could they find a way to make that primer assembly LESS durable?
Thank you Sir !! You just safe my life
You are very welcome
Very helpful thanks
If you're careful enough, you can remove the rubber ring around the primer head and - like you did in the past, lube the entire rubber seal. I also went as far as lubricating the stem of the primer valve after lubing the tiny O ring seal inside the head of the pump.
Hi mate do you knwo if the 307 impeller fit the 306
Thank You for the video it was very helpful.
Mine is a brand new 407. It won’t prime. I shouldn’t have to dismantle mine to see if it’s working properly or not. So sick of it. Waste of money.
I know it’s so simple but it just won’t sit flush UGH my hand hurts trying over and over to get it on
My fluval 306 sucks in and shoot water out as it should but it's not filtering at all. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
The primer will never get all the air out. I simply tilt the filter a little from side to side and that takes care of any trapped air. I move it side to side and front to back until no bubbles are coming out of the output.
That's a super easy and brilliant solution!
do you have a big beard or are you holding the canister filter sponge between your teeth? lol just jonking!!
Excellent video , Thank you !!!!!!!!!!
I used kitchen safe grease... but not sure the brand. Hope you have gotten yours to work
very helpful - bravo
Thank You for the video..
Great job dude, a big help! Thank you.
How did u add the check ball to the skimmer?
YAY a new video
Is there any kind of household thing I could use as Grease, butter maybe? Thanks
butter will not be good for your pump. I use kitchen safe grease. never use vasoline, it swells the seals then they shrink and will fail.
@@BrandonsTurtles ok thanks!
helped out a lot thanks !!
Very helpful video thank you
Does anyone know how to remove this primer piston on my Fluval 207 series? The rubber seal has faller off and not sure how to get the piston out to replace it
@BrandonsTurtles1 where can I get that that intake stem from?
Oh Brandon. I cannot figure out how to make my 406 act like it should. I've torn it apart and cleaned it three times today --- and I still get the rattling rocks sound and NO WATER MOVEMENT. The thing is two years old. I've checked every possible thing that UA-cam suggests. It's still sounds like rocks in a tumbler.
did the pump prime correctly? is the canister full of water? itll only rattle when air is present. hope that helps!
+Prasanth Prashu I would order a new one. If it gets loose the ceramic shaft wouldn't be supported and could break.
In case this helps anyone, mine was sucking air somehow. Turns out I didn't use the rubber piece to connect the in hose to the aquastop valve. Weirdly it worked no issue for over a year and no leaks or air issues until now. Replaced the hose with the rubber ended one and issue resolved.
our impeller is making a loud grinding sound and shuts off after a few seconds of running should we replace it?
The impeller may be ok. Check the ceramic shaft in the middle. If it is broken the motor magnet will make the impeller stop
Great
Hi, where did you get that surface skimmer intake you got? Ebay? Coz i cant find it anywhere. Thanks
amazon. it is a cheap one but works well
Thank you #fluval406
Hi,what is the name of that Self-floating Surface Skimmer and where did You got it
This is a cheap universal surface skimmer from amazon that comes with a few adapters to fit the Fluval tubes
HI! HOSES OF 306 ARE COMPATIBLE WITH FLUVAL FX4 ? THANKS
@@BrandonsTurtles I another thing, they sell me a Fluval 406 with a 306 Impeller... its 306/406 impeller igual? The effciency its the same?
legend
what you use to lubricate gasket and how long does it last normally
i use kitchen safe grease. dont know the brand. but double check anything you get on the net first. im not a pro :)
Thank you
Question ⁉️🙋♀️
Has anyone ever experienced thier canister filter leaking from the prime assembly?!
Or where to go from here 😑😫 I don’t have cash to buy a whole new filter 😕 an have found nothing helpful online
Any advice would be helpful 🚨 thank you!
I found it easier to prime without the check ball
hi, i have a question, my electricity is going off for 5 hours, should I unplug it, or just leave it plugged into the wall, and when the electricity goes back on it will just start...
+Frank Vincy when it comes back on it should be ok to continue. Sometimes it needs to prime but as long as there is no air in the canister it should start up immediately. Sorry for the answer delay
What's the grease on the main gasket and where can you get it?
+Aidan Garcia it is silicone grease. I got it from true value. It is a kitchen safe grease but has no brand
Hi Brandon, where did you find this modified intake, I want to buy one
amazon
Brandon's Turtles thanks for the video, informative, patient, and delivered well! Any idea what that piece is called on amazon?
Where did yo get the adapter that goles form the skimmer to the Ball check valve ??
I look for skimmer in Amazon I can't find the one you use would please know brand name
search for "hexa surface skimmer" :)
what is the intake you have here its name and possibly where to get one
+chris lu it is a protein skimmer and I found these ones on Amazon. They are universal fit
🖖👌
Do you deal in mainly turtles
had several turtles and random other fish tanks also
Reason I ask is because I have a northern painted turtle who I just transferred to a 75 gallon tank and I added a Fluval 406 canister filter along with a few other elements inside the tank for her like the Zilla tree stump floating basking platform as well as a hollow half log so she can hide in and just a standard fish tank Rock decor.
Brandon's Turtles thank you I just bought one)))
I am having a major problem with my Fluval 306. I keep priming it but it isn't taking any water into canister.
Is the check checkball in place? It needs the checkball in order to prime
The priming system needs 2 main parts. the checkball and the little red flap under the primer housing. between both, when you prime the water is only allowed to travel in one direction. I have had to fill the canister mostly full then seal it to get it to prime before. Hope you get it working. Sorry for the delay
My aqua stop is broke in a lock position can I still use
I have not successfully taken apart or fixed a aquastop valve. I would say it will have to be replaced
What happens if the shaft breaks? Because mine broke and I'm trying to figure how to fix it :/
+Lisa Bijarro it will cause the impeller to shake and eventually stop. Could cause damage. You will more than likely have to buy a new shaft. They can't really be repaired
+Lisa Bijarro it will cause the impeller to shake and eventually stop. Could cause damage. You will more than likely have to buy a new shaft. They can't really be repaired
Brandon's Turtles can you do a video or explain how to repair it please. I just bought this filter 6 months ago I'm not sure how it broke to
I still can't get my pump to work idk what I'm doing wrong lol
sorry for the delay. check the ceramic shaft inside the impellar. sometimes they crack and dont allow the pump to run
I dont have the checkball...
If you have this pump, the check ball is required. Does your pump start easily?
@@BrandonsTurtles no it dont, its been a pain
add a checkball. it will so help!
While priming the out should be above water level
My priming pump looks like a suction cup.
+Donald Ish that's pretty much what it is
my priming stick broke
Nope. My canister fails at step 1
I saw a walker in the background
Man, he is yapping way more than he needs to
