Growing up and living in Alabama, all of these points literally hit home with me. I am just now learning that money, in fact, is not an evil- but a true blessing to have in your life. Never give up and never let others around you dictate your life. Financial freedom is key and your videos highlighting examples and advice are so inspirational for so many. Thank you!
Im usually skeptical when it comes to finance UA-cam channels and vids. But unlike other tubers, your content is to the point without silly glare. And you are very well spoken with a soothing voice! Could listen to you for hours. Thank you
Honestly discovered this channel by accident, and have been back regularly not only have you become a safe haven, but such an inspiration! I feel at ease here, and this video specifically re-affirmed thoughts I have been having particularly about mindset and its impact. Thank you Nischa!
Great video! I've definitely worked through several of these myself. It is amazing to see how adding a simple "yet" to the end of a thought can change your mindset about money. I used to say "I can't afford it." towards things I could afford but didn't want to prioritize over other things, so I started to say "I can afford this, but I'm currently prioritizing other things." That one shift transformed my mindset and helped me see all the opportunities available and that I could actually choose what to do versus thinking I was just stuck with the same old decisions.
I read some time ago that we often fail to move forward because of the stories we tell ourselves, and that the way out of this is to ask ourselves the right questions. Your last point - to ask yourself "how am I going to afford this" is very salient and a reminder I needed as I navigate some huge changes in my life. It takes you from being a victim to having some power over your future. Thank you for great content. X
Thank you for choosing to invest your time and energy into making such high quality & highly practical content for your growing audience. This focus on limiting beliefs & how to overcome them is great. Big fan!
Hi Nischa, Thank you for producing such great content. I've been binging your videos the past few days, and I am planning on supplementing parts of the high school (United States) Quantitative Reasoning and Business Math course that I teach with your content. Your content has "convicted" me about my negative beliefs about money and wealth. Why am I teaching a course on QR and BM with negative views about money? Well, I came in as an emergency upper level math teacher a month ago and this class is part of the gig - my students will benefit that I came across this channel when I did. Anyway, I was very surprised when I watched your first few videos with catchy, click-baity titles about things many others are talking about, but I left not feeling slimed, and you seemed to be a genuinely happy and centered person. You've inspired me to not only act on the passion and excitement for wealth building I had as a child, but also start a UA-cam channel about something I've been passionate about for a long time. I've already looked into buying some property and starting to dollar cost average may way into the stock market. You're an inspiring person. What is it like operating in the finance world as someone with your strong values? Especially as a woman of color? Again, thanks so much.
Hi Nischa, I am older than you but I have never allowed my mindset to think that one can only learn from the elders. Really like your stories, thoughts and logic. I learn from you. Thank you.
I absolutely love how concise your videos are. We live in an era of time crunch and sincerely, what keeps me coming back to your videos is how I could've quality information without having to dig through 20 mins. WELL DONE!
@@nischa just saw my first video with you and love this as well! So much good stuff in there and no fluff! Some channels take 20 minutes to make a single point, you explain clearly 10 points in less than 10 minutes - very much appreciated! Maybe you could make a video on that as well, it definitely would be useful to me 😀
I love that you kept it real about 9-5s, because 9-5s come with other benefits that is not just about the paycheck. For instance, I work for my health insurance. My son has epilepsy and I would not be able to afford to get the coverage for the treatments and tests he has to go through if I didn't keep my job.
Your commentary on how the mind thinks about money are spot on. The very first step in achieving any goal is to believe it is possible. Secondly, you must believe YOU can do it. You are only guaranteed to fail if you never actually try. Thank you for reminding so many of these basic facts. 😀
You are so right about mindset. I see so many people trapped in this kind of mindset, and they just refuse to open their minds for other things than what they are used to.
Good points. You need to get around people who already have a good relationship with money and they will lift you up and show you things you never conceived could be possible. Also read books on personal finance and wach channels like Dave Ramsey or Anthony O'Neall to learn how to get out of debt and start building wealth. In this Age of Information, the only person stopping you from growing is yourself. With the amount of free financial education resources online, there should be no excuse.
Nischa, thanks to you, I realized that it's not a shame to have a 9-5 and earn on the side. I wanted to earn for myself so badly because I hated working in call centers, and they drained me. But if you have a great job where you get a good amount of money it allows you to connect with people, and it gives you the opportunity to grow within the company, then it's absolutely fine to stay there instead of struggling alone financially. I'm looking forward to an interview with an amazing startup and having time for myself to learn without being exhausted. I cannot thank you enough for these videos. They are a game changer! ❤
Hi Nischa, I would love more videos on stocks in a way that's digestible for us non-finance people (ETFs vs income funds vs growth funds etc.) I found the video you had on dividends really helpful. Keep up the great work!
This is brilliant! I haven't heard some of these points on other channels. I especially like "Don't say 'I can't afford it.'" You have a unique point of view.
Number 3 freed me. I don’t know where I learned it. I’m playing a different game than everyone around me. It helps me to have a long term view of life and my goals and I can be happy of everyone’s success. A lot of people around me are so unhappy because they try so hard to appear happy by flexing their indulgent life style but they will pay the price later on in life…
Another brilliant video … and congratulations on hitting the 200k mark. This is no surprise, with your inspiring, authentic, and educational content! Bring on the next 200k!!!
I like how you explained making money with UA-cam vs. corporate work. The amount of hours will be the same, they both might even require more at first. But…one plateaus & the other, at some point, you are rewarded for your hard legwork in the beginning with less time needed to put in to maintain. Awesome video
Great points made, thank you for sharing. I have to add to this ‘Victim mentality’ belief, I’ve known and seen people blame everything but themselves of not trying to improve things in one’s life. Political parties, family, friends, workplace are some of the most common ones. ‘You either make yourself accountable or you will be made accountable by your circumstances.’
Thank you. - Slaving for money spent on others. - Showing love with money and gifts. - Dropping business ideas instead of trying them - Trusting others with your money decisions - Making emotional purchases or financial decisions
Great Videos Nischa! Excellent video quality, lighting, and "to the point" videos that are easy to digest. Reaching 200K is an incredible milestone! Great job!
Thank you for your information! It's inspiring! I actually ended up buying the book you recommend called "I will teach you to be rich" I don't even read like that and I have been enjoying it very much and learning so much because of you! Thank you again!
Hello from USA, Well said...having the right mindset about money & not envying others with more. We all make choices, but in the end, our choices make us.
You could definitely consider being a professional model as another income stream 😄 Love this video. I would love one about changing social classes. Like, how to build wealth and a safe and solid foundation when you come from a poor/unsafe family and you’re battling illness/isolation/scarcity or whatever . Or I could just rewatch ‘The Pursuit of happiness’ or ‘Maid’ I suppose... If this is too tricky
what a relief to see someone tackles theses issues, hard at least for me to get in touch with people with a smart cultrued reflected and poised expertise and argument
These are all traps holding people back. And the sooner people realize, meaning learning when they are young, the better off they will be. Really appreciate your delivery on all these important topics.
Great video on something not too talked about. This is something I'm realising slowly over time especially as I've said to myself why am i struggling to start this business for no logical reason. My entire environment growing up was 9-5. You communicated the illogical mental hurdle very well and it was helpful. Thank you
A month back, you were at some 1 lakh subs and now two lakh, woah! I knew, you will grow superfast because the kind of content you are providing is very quality. I'm not from finance but wanted to know more about IB and other financial stuff. Keep growing Nischa. You are an inspiration to me. - Sreeja, India
Agree with many points she said but the first point, that truly hits the spot. I used to believe more hours = more pay then I starting to realize there're tons of people out there working in a very relaxed environment and really working much less hour than me. I'm glad I got out of my old job and now things are improving for me.
Wow found this video so interesting as i had alot of the beliefs stated in this video and started to realise through this how much these are impacting my financial choices. Can't stop watching your videos, so helpful and insightful, thank u :)
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and knowledge Nischa. I believe my refusal to acknowledge my own capabilities and victim mentality and comparison has definitely held me back so much in life. I’m starting a new journey and reprogramming my brain is definitely part of that.
I agree being authentic is the key 🔑 🌟 I will never be as good as being you as you will, and you'll never be as good as being me as I am. We can take inspiration but shouldn't emulate as we are all on different paths ❤
Really great new perspective on things we are already told by so many others. I especially liked that quote from Peter Thiel. I hadn't heard that one before.
I read in a book about millionaires that "Millionaires have an average of 7 income streams", that really got to me and now I'm thinking of the passive income things I can do with my 9-5 paycheck. A lot of income streams just need a small investment every month.
Great channel. Can I add another point that removes the the limit to your earning potential? That is, recognise your worth and price accurately. Mental/Fiscal drag, the situation when you know what you should charge for a service, you think of the amount but you then say a smaller amount because you imagine the buyer will think it’s too expensive. If your product or service is of sufficient quality and, especially if you’ve no direct competition, have 100% belief in yourself and your product or service and quote it’s true value.
The last one is interesting. "I can't afford it" - I think the proper phrasing is perhaps, "I don't want to afford it.", or "Is it worth affording?". It goes back to the fundamental question of a want versus a need. I think focusing too much on "want" ("how can I" as opposed to the more basic "should I") creates a materialistic mindset where one pursues things simply for the challenge of it ("because it is there" mindset).
Nothing new to me, I guess that am fortunate to have gotten here . Happy to hear someone else express their opinions. “O” well I’ll have to stop digging that tunnel to the banks vault, return the pick axe and shovels. WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS, thank you. ( yes I binge watched everything you have made). Once again the people who are close too your so very lucky.Able to see first hand how amazing you are Nischa. Looking forward to seeing the next one 💐💐
These videos are great and help my mindset as they're so well presented and pleasant to watch/listen to. My new financial habit is to watch one each morning. Thank you!
This is SO true!! The minute we sold our first house and started renting, we were so much happier! We live well below our means, and still have assets. But sometimes what works for everyone else, or what society tells you to do, just doesn’t work for you! I prefer passive income over a 9-5 (after working for decades), however my husband prefers having a job. We make it work 😊.
Can you tell what all things you did to generate passive income.. I too have decade of experience and now I just want to have a peaceful life with my daughter instead of running to work everyday.
Hi Nischa, I too came upon this video by accident and have been watching and listening to you since. You are such an inspiration that I have forward it to my daughter. Thank you for all the insights to finance and building wealth. 🙏🙏💌
Nischa, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience with the rest of us. I love how down to earth you are and your video's are very professional and easy to learn from.

Another fantastic video. That victimhood mentality and the watching your words mentality are two powerful ones I had to really work on.

For sure
I'd also add generational trauma and stress
Hey Nischa, your channel is a breath of fresh air in the UA-cam and finance category. Thank you!
You could definitely consider being a professional model as another income stream 😄
Love this video.
Your unflinching explanations without hesitation or uncertainty are inspiring.
Excellent! A concise and well delivered presentation on the powers and pitfalls of mindset. xx
Omggg you’re about to hit 200k subscribers! Congratulations! You BLEW UP FAST! Great content! Great job!!! Love your channel:)
Thank you Kate!
I like what you said - How am I going to afford it? Love it. ❤️

competition trap and following the crowd-a herd behavior, important points for self-improvement
Thank you for the videos, each and everyone of them is top quality!
This is great. The ‘i can’t afford it’ one resonates with me - I will work on that!

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and knowledge Nischa. I believe my refusal to acknowledge my own capabilities and victim mentality and comparison has definitely held me back so much in life. I’m starting a new journey and reprogramming my brain is definitely part of that.
Thanks for these tips, Nischa. Think we all need to be reminded sometimes that we're in our own way. BTW, congrats on 200k+ subs. Wow!👌🏾
Your information is clear, concise and straight to the point. I can see your channel growing steadily!
Great video Nischa! I love how you are upto the point and don't exaggerate it
Thank you🥰
I agree being authentic is the key 🔑 🌟 I will never be as good as being you as you will, and you'll never be as good as being me as I am. We can take inspiration but shouldn't emulate as we are all on different paths ❤

Hi Nischa . Your videos are a big source of inspiration to many that too , straight to the point and in a consice manner. Thanks a lot❤

You felt happier from switching owning a house to paying off someone elses mortgage??
