If you are going to order a new Ford Bronco you have probably wondered if you should get a Sasquatch package. Today we are comparing a Bronco Badlands and a Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package! The Sasquatch package features 35" Goodyear Wrangler Tires while the normal Bronco Badlands has the LT285/75R17 Goodyear Wrangler Tires! In addition to that, the Sasquatch also has no Crash Bars, while the Normal Bronco has crash bars in the front and the rear!
The Sasquatch Package also features wider Fender Flares! Those larger fender flares are designed to cover the larger wheel and tire combination! Speaking of the wheel, all Sasquatch vehicles have a Beadlock Capable Wheel!
As far as the exterior is concerned, the Badge on the Front Fender actually has a Big Foot walking through the forrest!

“If you guessed right you are correct” could be a bumper sticker
Right, as in the one on the right. Lol
Id buy it
literally came here to make a comment about that haha but the bumper sticker/t-shirt ideas is pretty good.
Haha I chuckled myself. If you’re not watching the video it’s pretty funny the way it sounds 🥴 knee slapper lol
You definitely have the Ford Bronco engineers scratching their heads on the crash bar application.
I would assume for compensating for a larger tire 35” vs. a 33” (squatch pkg vs non) I have an FJ and depending on lift height some of us need to trim the body mount to eliminate tire rubbing. Its quite common in the Toyota truck world to do so. Love the new Bronco thoe
I don’t usually like the way dealerships review cars, but I like this guy and would buy if they delivered out of state.
I wish the badges looked a little cleaner. They look like stickers you pick up at a souvenir shop.
Well these are still pre-production models iirc
@@ToastedLobster It feels like these things have been in "pre-production" (but like 95% finished) for 2 years at this point.
Best way to solve that is to buy a Base ;-)
Done on purpose, they mimic national park logos/state magnets. Some floss and a warm day and they'll come right off
Really appreciate the amount of effort and work you put into all of your videos 👍
Thanks bro!
This channel is so good. Each video answers so many questions. Great job!
I dont think ive ever wanted a car this badly in my life… cant wait til these drop!
Thanks for the comparison! Been looking for this.
That very easy to take the fenders off. Now I know how I’ll upgrade my bronco. Lol
great video - subscribed! Can't wait to get my BadSquatch!
Man I really want one, these are fire🔥
Thank you for the side by side comparison
If they have any big bends could you guys do a sasquatch vs non sasquatch
As always great content!
PLEASE do the same with the Big Bend PLEASE!!!
Also this is the best video of Cactus Grey and Area 51 I’ve seen on UA-cam
Which color do you like best?
This video is full of gems 😂 🤣
I like how I watched one video where he blew my mind and then typed up a whole new search picked a video was thrown it was him and some how it some how went from information to a comedy Netflix series of binge watching. Thanks 😂 you had me chuckling my rear off.
The only reason they take the crash bars out is because the 35” tires rub on them when you turn so it’s actually convenient to have the quick removal if you wanna go with a larger tire size
Hey Mitchell as usual great video. I do believe that another difference is that the final drive ration goes from 4.46 non Squatch to 4.70 w/Squatch package.
grdhtrjt
Thank you. Was wondering about this.
Is there an interior difference?
I got sasquatch package on my badlands lux can't wait, love your videos and your 6 ft 3 in lol
I saw a 2 door bronco on the interstate this morning. Cyber orange with a soft top.😀
How good did it look man? And did it have the Sasquatch package
@@adeebh1238 looked good and it appeared to have the sasquatch package.called my dealership and Found out it's a demo that ford takes to the dealerships so the salesman can see what they look like.
The self awareness of this man is great
Hey man keep up the great content. I just placed my order today! But you've got me thinking now... I have a Bad Lands sasquatch but if that eliminates the STAY bar, shouldn't I just get an Outer Banks with sasquatch? Seeing a 5k price difference too. Not quite sure all the differences
good points, thought about adding 35s to my JT but atm tire prices are crazy
Great video!
You forgot to mention a very important difference; the front and rear gear ratios are reduced in the Sasquatch to accommodate the big tires.
This will make driving experience way better if you run large tires.
Badlands has the 4.7 also.
Nice vid, not sure how I feel bout the bronco yet. Need to see it in person.
My advice lay underneath the vehicle look at all the rust and walk away
Sasquatch with the optional Badlands wheels would look awesome!
Great video does anyone know if there is a difference in differential??
Love how you mention your height in EVERY video. Definitely a "salesman" by profession.
Or a creep
Yeah, my dude is the most annoying person I have ever seen. Has the info but I would rather it be delivered with ice picks in my ears
@@joshkeller1038 lmao right
Great catch and question about the crash bar
Another great video
Great vid. I’m surprised at how low the roofline is on the Sasquatch.
Great seeing these side by side. Mostly because I’m struggling with these 2 colors. I just recently switched from a51 to cactus gray.
They are both great colors. Tough call either way.
I also really like the red on black look too. Very tough choice. I'd want to wait and see them I guess.
Just switched from 51 to cactus myself
Thank you for reading my tex keep up the great work
Clicked on this Bc I was deciding between these two colors. I’m not a big off roader by any means. I’ll take a couple road trips a year and find some easy trails to ride on so Sasquatch isn’t worth the extra $$ for me but that Area 51 color is a beaut! I love the look of the “squatch” but not willing to pay extra for things I don’t “need”. Definitely getting a badlands though!
Im waiting for end of 2021 for the manual bronco with the sas package.. aka the “mansquatch”
Heck yea!!!
Thank you for keeping up with the Bronco my favorite truck in years
Another question Mitch, why can you have that brush bar on the front bumper on the non-squatch, but not on the squatch?
Great comparison! Does the Sasquatch package eliminate the sway bar disconnect on the badlands, or is that feature kept? Thanks!
The Sta-Bar disconnect is retained when you add Sasquatch to the badlands
Any gear ratio specs? Between the two? Like if you want to add 35s later to the badlands do you need to to regear?
Nice video!
Nice job of the comparisons/ same model. I’m getting a black diamond model. Do you or anyone have that comparison?
I have no problem with an off road focused option removing the crash bars, but they should make that very obvious in the marketing info.
I don’t follow any of this closely, but I do like the look of these Broncos. Question… how close to the full production model / design are these?
Mine build start date is 7/26/21... Others have dates earlier than that (June).
they removed the crash bars to fit 35s. just like on f150s. likely not as safe as 33s with crashbars, but im sure they have some kind of disclaimer like "for off road use only"
what is the difference in approach departure and breakover angles 33" vs 35" tires
You know how many people I came across who wanted to get the bronco and then they all told me they are really small so they ended up buying a Jeep instead. Its because of the Sport. The Sport hurts the image of the Bronco.
How many?
@@mrabrasive51 none.
Freaking wrangler is even smaller cargo than the Bronco Sport.
Makes no sense.
No it doesnt. Its a sensible entry to the compact offroad class. Its because most people dont actually know what they hell they are talking about. They buy wranglers for the image of being a cool adventurous person when in reality they are as basic as can be. They have no idea what solid front and rear axles are and that they suck for everything except offroading.
@@LucasMarques-rw3jc Wranglers are small and have been much smaller. They have only been getting bigger with each generation. People buy wranglers and they dont even know what a wrangler actually is.
Most importantly, what’s the difference in driving impression & ride between these two.
YOOOOOOO I've been waiting for somebody to do this thanks gangster!!
Will the 315s fit on the non squatch without changing the suspension?
So In other words, to fit 35s on the Badlands, you have to do a lift and cut the crash bars?
Small lift yes. The crash bars just unbolt though. No need to cut. Also, the Sasquatch wheels are a different offset than the standard set
That’s a nah for me. Even if just weekend car a lot of your miles are on the highway. A great off road spot can be a four hour drive one way for a lot of people. I like my legs where they are by when a Prius nose dives into my wheel well. Looks like I’m getting a base with no options and I’ll go after market.
@@u13erfitz aftermarket crash bars that fit around 35” tires are already available also two different leveling kits available. Badlands gets you all the off-road options for suspension lockers sway bar disconnect trail turn assist then when you wear out the first set of tires add the new style crash bars and leveling kit and buy some 35”s
@@Snookchaser007 badlands is fine. I’ll skip the Sasquatch package.
I’m wondering how much it would cost to do the upgrades yourself ? I’m sure the aftermarket is going to have major support with these vehicles.
I looked into the cost of regearing a base model/adding lockers, currently available lift, beadlock capable rims and the tires and it came to about 12.5k on 4WP website. Hope this info helps!
Grate videos!
am i missing something or one of the most important differences between Sasquatch Vs Non-Squatch is the fact that if you chose the package you can ONLY have it with the 4.7 Final Drive Ratio with Electronic-locking Front and Rear Axle and NOT with the 4.46 Rear Axle Final Drive Ratio!? I like the look of the Squatch but unless you use this truck off road full time rock crawling the drive ratio of 4.7 not so suitable for regular every day driving...just wondering if this is correct...I would want the option of this package to be avail also on the 4.46 Drive Ratio
The biggest thing I see is the sasquatch has wider wheels and tires that make it look so much better from the front/rear . You should have popped off the normal flares and put them on the Squatch to see how it would look :)
Agreed! I’m thinking about changing out my flares on my Sasquatch edition for the stock ones to make the 35s look more aggressive
Does the non sasquatch badlands come with the front and rear lockers?
does the light bar come as a factory option?
What is the overall height difference between a sasquatch & nonsquatch Badlands ?
Big Hands Mitch!
I am interested in knowing why the crash bars were not add to the Badlands Sasquatch front tires. Could there be something in the construction of the Bronco with the Sasquatch package that provides the equivalent protection.
Just add it.
When you’re still waiting on a build date 😭😭😭
Any luck?
@@hypebeastdad nope
@@Kylia_2.0 sorry to hear that. It’s on the way I’m sure.
Regarding the shorter crash bars in sq ,please explain is it a disadvantage ? What ia the effect?
The stay bar or sway bar disconnect is still there on the Badlands with the Sasquatch suspension option - right?
Yes it is the only trim that has the sway bar disconnect outside of first edition.
Can you do this with the base and big bend? Squatch vs no squatch?
Also, Outer Banks and Squatch...? : )
yes
Yes. I have a 2021 base with Sasquatch package and love it!
Are the body panels steel or aluminum????
Trucks & SUVs went decades without crash bars; they’re not necessary. Some manufacturers started including them to reduce impact damage. I’ve removed the ones on my F-150 so that I could fit 34” tires with only a level kit. It doesn’t adversely impact safety, but it could result in more front damage to my truck in certain collision scenarios. Not worried about it.
Which model is the best daily driver? I’m never going off road. I love the look and I love the winter driving capability in the northeast for the snow. I’m assuming Outer Banks, am I wrong? I just placed my reservation.
Probably your best bet
I do a lot of highway miles and wanted more street vs off-road, but wanted to give up as little as possible. I would recommend that you look at the Outer Banks Edition Bronco 2.7 v6 with the optional advanced 4x4 (4.27 rear locking differential). I added the lux package because adaptive cruise control was something that I really had as a must have option. If you don't care about the tech or advanced 4x4, then look at the Big Bend (you can't get the advanced 4x4 on the Big Bend without the Sasquatch Package). If you go with a manual and the 2.3 engine, you also might be able to get what you want in the lower spec models (base, big bend, or black diamond). It's tough to spec what you want without being forced into a specific trim level. The OBX in the end was the best package for me (and I have similar goals, with a little more off roading - which is why I went with the advanced 4x4 package). In the North East, you would appreciate the advanced 4x4, because it will get you through just about anything you will encounter in the winter.
@@mpeugeot Thanks for this.. I'm in the same boat. I want the AWD capability of the advanced 4x4 without being pushed into sas package. Smaller tires means more fuel usually. I deal with snow most of the year so if I don't end up with a pickup, this truck is just so cool. I wouldn't mind the manual either, but I don't have to have it. Wish the mid package had a heating steering wheel too. lol spoiled.
Thanks for your videos. I haven’t owned a car in 10 years but am ready and want to have a car I can enjoy rather than an EV. Want to get into off roading and wonder if non Sasquatch is ideal for everything else expect rock crawling?! I want to do all except rock crawling.
Want one
So are they the same control arms?
CRAWL or BAJA style of driving...these are the two styles of driving that a potential Bronco driver would consider. With so many options between models and sub-models could you guys do a video that shows the options that are best for both types of drivers 🤔? I'm an old autox'er who may sel his low mileage Focus RS (suspension built) for a Bronco. GOTTA GO FAST AND I PROMISE I WILL JUMP IT!
Wish I could see these in person , no dealer has them.
Does the squatch sit higher in the suspension?
i ordered a black diamond with sasquatch package can i fit 37" tires on it without lifting/leveling for normal street use???
I've been a Ford fan all my life. I've owned a old '72 F-150 (which I really miss), a 2002 Mustang GT, a 2004 Mustang SVT (which I also really miss) so when I critique this vehicle it's not out of malice...but seeing that "droop" at 1:05, I don't think this is going to be the Jeep Wrangler killer everyone is talking it up to be. It just won't have the travel a live axel can have and that's really critical when trying to get grip on obstacles off-road. I guess I should also say I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon eco-diesel that I'm very much enjoying at the moment. So I can't wait to see these on the trail, but I'm not going to run out and buy one anytime soon.
For instance, take a look at this JL with a 2" lift (not unlike the Sasquatch package, but I know it's not apples to apples): ua-cam.com/video/KErm8mDEWIY/v-deo.html
Is the suspension difference really only ½” between the two? Approximately an inch of that 1 ½” is the bigger tires, correct?
Was thinking same thing. Suspension doesn't seem high. Seems the tire size is the only difference in height
Did you get the answers for the crash bars? Also interested in that.
Has to be so the larger tire can articulate up and down with more clearance in the wheel well. He can barely fit his arm in there. I had slight clearance issue in the same spots with my 4runner when I went to 35s
Glad i didnt get sasquatch. Between delays and how little the sasquatch actually adds (and ima remove the fender flares anyway) non-squatch works best for me
I'm starting to agree. This guy does the best Bronco vids
Sasquatch is good for the people that want to offroad here and there but nothing crazy imo. Dudes that are gonna go balls to the wall and go hardcore wheeling are better off saving the money up front and using it for better shocks/springs and other mods in the future.
That’s what I’m thinking. I was playing on the ford website last night and building one out and it almost makes sense to go with a base or just get a black diamond.
is it a bad idea to get the Outer Banks and save money not getting the sasquatch package and upgrade later with off market upgrades?
you will spend more money paying a shop to upgrade it down the road if you do it correctly. between tires, suspension mods, re gearing and adding the lockers, you will have more than the cost of the package. Just a set of good five 35" tires (don't forget the spare) you'll be $1500 easy. good suspension, you'll have at least 1k and more likely closer to another 1.5-2k. add lockers, those are 1k ea for quality. that's not even adding up the cost of the new gears for the front and rear to compensate for the 35" tire diameter, which will run $700 for both. so best case lets say you'll have $5k in parts, but it will likely be higher. that's before the shop mark up and shop labor. I can do my own labor, and I would still opt for the squatch package.
Are the fenders aluminum? If not, I could see moisture getting trapped in those fender flares trapping moisture and rusting that thing out like other rigs have had issues with. Just curious
Those fenders looked like the same plastic wranglers and Cherokee used
To order a Bronco, it must be super hard, I would hate to forget something and be told, you did not order this item or it was deleted because you clicked on something else.
People will complain about everyting... It's a 40k car, do your research, don't buy a car of a sticker, that's why these videos and test drives exist ffs.
"If you guessed right, you are correct" 1:28 lol
Weird that the bull bar is not available with the 2.7? Only on the 2.3
If you need new fender flares, just rip them off someone else's. Lol
Don’t give them funny ideas 🤣😈
Yeah , I think there gonna be disappearing more frequently.
you can, avoid the 6k extra on the package. Go to a dealer lot at night, rip them off an just buy the same tires as these lol get the look the sas package
Bad..... U r very notty. 🤭
Yep, by the looks of it they will eventually fall off too
I haven't been able to find any safety ratings on the new Bronco. How has the vehicle performed in crash tests?
Who tf cares.
@@hatersgotohell627 I do, and everyone with a family.
@You Tube oh ya you're so smart being concerned with how safe a fn modern day vehicle is. You guys are pus.sies.
3:20 already rusting? or just mud water?
I'm not sure how I feel about the crash bar removal for the Sasquatch package. Is it still safe?
😂
Saw a badlands at a dealership. But not the squatch. Wish they would get them.
Those crash bars look like a great place for rust if you wheel
@mitchell. You're getting a Badlands, are you going sas or not? I'm so torn over the 1.5 difference and crash bars.
Yes. I’m going sas
I’m going non Sasquatch will add leveling kit 35” tires and new design crash bars that just came out once my first set of tires wear out.
My guess is the 315s don’t fit with the crash bars. Why else would they remove them.
Does anyone think the Sasquatch wheels will fit on a non-Sasquatch Bronco?
So if I were to add the Sasquatch package to the badlands, would it still have the sway bar for when I take the Bronco off roading?
Sway bar disconnect yes.
I'm really annoyed that i can't get the Sasquatch package with the KO2 tires. The Goodyears are junk in snow from what i've heard and i live in MN where the KO2's are a better option. My understanding is most of the height difference is in the tire height.
are the graphics on the doors standard?? I hope not
