Quick disconnects or anti rock bar will probably be available for the Bronco so a disconnecting ARB isn’t really that huge of a deal considering you can defeat it easily and likely more reliably. Like auto locking hubs vs manual. This is coming from a Rubicon owner that has also disconnected their ARB on previous vehicles manually. Sure it’s nice, but when mine fails I’ll delete it via my tazer and just throw some quick disconnects on. Wish it had locking hubs instead of the FAD as well.

Wildtrak comes standard with cloth seats whereas Badlands comes standard with mgv seats. Both trim packages have optional leather seats. Wildtrak comes standard with the mid package whereas Badlands comes standard with the standard package. Both optionally allow for the high and lux packages.

I also reserved a Wildtrak. If you priced out a badlands to be like a Wildtrak, you’d spend more money. The only differences are, obviously standard squatch and standard 2.7/auto. Plus black grill, black mirror caps and black rims. Also, WT has sport goat mode and std mic hard top. For the extra money you’d spend, you get the stabar disconnect and rock crawl goat mode.
@@skyfirefly76 When I priced my build out and compared to a badlands it was almost $3k more. Also, I forgot about the full length upgraded skid/bash plates and the rear steel bumper that come with the badlands. Those do not come with the Wildtrak. Although if you get the modular front bumper, you can get the upgraded plates on the Wildtrak. I would just go to Ford.com and price them out to see. Cause if you haven’t got a vin yet, you can still change your order.
You don’t need “Rock Crawl” mode to do any “rock crawling”. Just put it in 4Lo & 1st gear and go to town. The one major mode to be concerned with is Baja, it minimizes/turns off most/ all of the built in safety mechanisms and remaps throttle, brake and transmission control for high speed joy😃
@@skyfirefly76 Sport mode is for spirited on-road driving, sport mode increases throttle response and provides a sportier steering feel - along with quicker shifting. The transmission holds gears longer to keep you in the power band. My 2019 Raptor has it and I use it when someone in a sports car pulls up next to me and gives me the eye. ;-)
I'm just curious as to why they didn't use the 3.5 twin turbo eco boost engine in these or the new 7.3.... I wanna buy one but holding out hoping for bigger engine options or even a all electric version 😉
@@reel2reeltv944 I have 2 electric vehicles parked in the garage. It makes sense for commuters, not vehicles that are designed to be off road. Destinations are far, the towns near them are small and don't have the needed chargers. And they didn't use the 3.5 eco boost because they're saving it for the Warthog Edition.
sway bar- and IFS is very limited compared to a solid axle. Even with a disconnected or removed swaybar, you will not get nearly the articulation that you can get with a solid axle. That said an IFS vehicle will go many places, but its not as ideal wheen wheeling in areas with large ledges and rocks. Looks like you guys went on some pretty easy trials there.
I find the aftermarket disconnect on my FJ Cruiser is more about comfort on the "pre-trail" than actual trail performance. It allows the IFS to eat up some of the bigger potholes without compromising steering.
What do the manufacturers do with all those pre production vehicles? I'm sure all of the different 1st year out vehicles probably have a ton of those made for testing, and like you said not everything is perfect. Again just wondering what happens with them?
Question I want to know the answer to: Since Badlands doesn't have sport mode and Wildtrak does, can you emulate sport on the Badlands by selecting Baja and changing to 2H or 4A?
At least on the second Gen Raptor you can do this. Baja mode automatically shifts into 4H, but then you can go back to 2H and enjoy all the benefits of Baja in 2wd
As well, you seem to have the best content with these new broncos, so thank you for the help....maybe you can answer another question that many seemingly have.....is the “sport” mode just a remapping of shift points? Or is there more two it.
@@TCcustoms_ I don't think that's correct. Ford's recently released tech specs say the Wildtrack is 75.3 inches tall, while the Badlands is 73.9", or a 1.4" difference. If it were true that it were both a 1.5" suspension lift and 35" tires vs 33", the 1.4" total height difference would be larger.

@@mjclarke9 is it really that much extra though? I really am confused by this. And do you know what the sport mode actually does? Thanks for replying
You want an electric vehicle that’s designed for off road use outside of urban areas?
@@TobyCostaRica why not its the future its coming regardless
@@reel2reeltv944 I have 2 electric vehicles parked in the garage. It makes sense for commuters, not vehicles that are designed to be off road. Destinations are far, the towns near them are small and don't have the needed chargers. And they didn't use the 3.5 eco boost because they're saving it for the Warthog Edition.
@@TobyCostaRica the Tesla Cybertruck will change the game once it comes out, after that everyone else will be playing catch up!
@@reel2reeltv944 ask any Tesla owner if they get the range they paid for....
sway bar- and IFS is very limited compared to a solid axle.
You forgot to add that badlands also have the rock rails
I wish the 2.7L engine had a manual transmission option. Has anybody driven both engines to compare the 30hp difference?
its the torque thats needed
so you cant get the disconnect links on the wildtrak?
Question I want to know the answer to:
Since Badlands doesn't have sport mode and Wildtrak does, can you emulate sport on the Badlands by selecting Baja and changing to 2H or 4A?
At least on the second Gen Raptor you can do this. Baja mode automatically shifts into 4H, but then you can go back to 2H and enjoy all the benefits of Baja in 2wd
Why can’t I get roof racks with the v6 or the Sasquatch package
What's with the Lux package front camera not being compatible with the ford/warn winch? The winch blocks most of the camera.
That ole "Stay bar" loves to sway. I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand what a sway bar is, but good overall video.
So the wildtrak has a lifted suspension? Or did he mean it’s just taller bc of bigger tires. Well done video, but a bit confusing.
It’s a little bit of both. The Sasquatch Package (which comes with the Wildtrak) includes a 1.5” lift AND larger tires.
Wow, thanks for the response, and clarification!
That’s a bummer, Sadly, you seem to be correct.
Kinda missed the part of them not having the same engine. 2.3 l standard in the Badlands and the 2.7 l in the Wildtrak
