My only problem with the good Rabbi, is that if I apply the same logic to Judaism...... Im gonna end up with babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, Persian Canaanite influences. Whats original about Judaism? Even circumcision predates Israel. However i appreciate his ideas and scholarship.
@Dj The Shooter Even the Hebrew script comes from Phoenician which has its roots in even earlier forms of writing. The Nation of Israel comes into existence at the end of the bronze age not the beginning lol. Civilizations had been born and gone out of existence long before Adam was supposedly created.
@Dj The Shooter Why does he needs a source? Do you need a source that fire is hot? This is generally accepted among scholars. The Greek script also comes from Phoenician. I don't think it's a secret either that Baal and God have the same titles and both seems to have some 'Ashera' on his side. During Solomons time people were worshipping all kinds of gods, which were later combined to be 1. Yet traditions and rituals of these old gods were re-used. And we find the same rituals in earlier Canaanite areas. Even the pottery style is the same, which you wouldn't suspect if the Jews came from Egypt. They were basically the same people, with the southern part adopting monotheism at some point. Which caused a civil war leading to demonizing and propaganda. At some point they even developed their own origins story to distance themselves even further from the north.
@Dj The Shooter Rome happened to it. the same Rome that carried out the brutal murder of jesus, and destroyed the temple are for all intensive purposes the same Rome(Vatican) who were the curators of christianty for the last 2000 years. Rome killed, stole and burned , to get christianty to where it is. you dont see a conflict of interest in that?
@Dj The Shooter re read what I said, I didn't say , "creators" , I said "curators of Christianity". doesn't mean I agree with them or think there right about things
@Dj The Shooter one jew does. Her name is Margalit Zinati. She lives in the Galilee, in Peki'in and is a direct descendant of the Levite Priests in Jerusalem who fled from the Revolt against Rom and has possessions of theirs to prove it. She's nearly 90 years old and is the only Jew besides, arguably, the Samaritans and the Yemeni Jews, who can directly trace her tribal ancestry. Also, please prove that this Yeshua existed, since you seem to be writing as though you're fishing buddies and considering no one's been able to get that done yet.... thanks.
He won't. He won't debunk even islame. He knows Quran 9:29, 8:12 ..etc but he still preaches that judaism and islam share the same god. Its an apparent bigotry.
@@stevejankins405 At times I feel Tovia Singer hates Christianity more than Satan. What he hates is the fact that Messianic Jews are converting Jews to believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah and he hates it so much. Christians defend the Jewish Scriptures while Muslims claim it has been corrupted, yet this man loves Islam and never criticise it. All he does is to criticise Christianity.

While I admire all these learned arguments, there remains the fact that each and every religion is euqally "easy to disprove" since not one have EVER been proven. The burden is on them in the first place.
@Abraham Mani That isn't happening at all. Talk to a doctor who works with terminal diseases, the statistics always play out. If an illness has a 40% mortality rate and you look at a large group of people then you will always see about 40% don't survive. There is no way any deity is helping people.
Not so. Watch UA-cam videos on Lee Stobels the case for Christ. With that said many people will never believe sadly. Read the book of Matthew and ask yourself if this story is about a loving God. Then you can dig in deeper for the proof as Lee did.

I never was a Hebrew Israelite, because I was born in a Jewish family, therefore, I have always been Jewish. I never became an atheist, because the communists compelled me to ridicule all other religions, while indoctrinating me into Marxism-Leninism. I like the myth, the warmth and the history of my people/religion, that allows me to practice it a la carte. Atheists have a tendency to believe that they are equal to gods. Ask the Rabbi tough questions about Judaism, example: 1 why does Tanakh describe a flat Earth covered with a dome and water in outer space? (Ancient Near Eastern cosmology) 2) Why does god support slavery, 3) Why does god have abortion in Numbers chapter 5 as the bitter water test? 4) why does god think rabbits chew the cud, when they actually don't chew the cud? 5) how can cutting stripes in sticks produce stripped baby goats? 6) How did Noah fit all those animals on that little boat and how did they breathe with just 1-18X18 inch window and where did he store all the food for 150 days? 7) how did god make the shadow go backwards up Ahaz's stair steps? did he stop the planet from spinning and rotate it backwards a few degrees? 8) how did god stop the sun in the sky so Joshua could get a victory, did god stop the planet from spinning to give Joshua noon time sun for an entire day? And in light of question 7 the Bible says this was a one time occurrence. 9) Why is Israel an inheritance given to Yahweh from El the most High? Isn't this polytheism? 10) Where does the Noahide concept come from, because it's not spelled out in Tanakh? Derek there is 10 good questions I doubt Tovia could answer without doing mental gymnastics, and I didn't even get into contradictions, just logical questions based on science and real cosmology.

A great discussion and I don't dispute Rabbi Singer's scholarship that points to all the, 'non-kosher' ingredients that went into the Christian porridge. However, the Rabbi conveniently fails to acknowledge all the alien notions that likewise finds it's way into the Jewish faith. TL;DR ☆☆ Warning: For example, what was the Persian influence on Judaism? Persians conquered Judea 539-332 B.C. The conquering nation tears the most learned thought leaders away from Jerusalem and allow them to become subjects of the empire and preserve their religious beliefs/identity. To those who believe Jews would NEVER permit alien ideas to influence their religious conceptions, think again. Prior to their exposure to the Persian religion, Zoroastrianism, there was no Good vs. Evil duality, (where God was engaged in a conflict against disobedient, malevolent forces) in Jewish writings,... - no defined Heaven or hell concept after life ended - it just ended. No dramatic, end time conflict where dark powers array themselves against the forces of light,... where good prevails over evil ushering in the promise of a MESSIANIC era, in which things are 'set right' and peace and harmony is restored and God reigns supreme. There was no resurrection of the dead belief where the neshema (soul) is restored to its physical body and where the holy temple is also physically restored (along with the resumption of the sacrificial system). These new conceptions were all the pungent flavorings of Zoroastrianism grafted onto and mixed into the porridge of Jewish theological ideas. But wait! The religious recipe was far from being fully baked,... more ingredients were yet to be added to the cake mix. You see, the Greeks conquer Judea in 332 - 110 B.C.E. and then, the Romans conquer Judea after them (63 B.C. - 636 A.D.). Indeed, we find in Judaism, a veritable smorgasbord of supernatural ponderings that shaped, and guided and influenced Jewish ideas about their God and the world to come and through the lens of this historical context, I find myself becoming aware of an unsettling truth. God did not deliver fixed Jewish theological positions in the form of a singular clearly defined holy dispatch from, on high. Not at all. These ideas, evolved OVER TIME! They too were formed & shaped, not by God, but by MEN whose ideas were formed and shaped by all the theological ruminations Jewish thought leaders were exposed to in the great cauldron of speculative supernatural splendor that animates the human imagination. Those who think the secret recipe was provided complements of a singular God at a singular moment in history (on Mount Sinai) have hid their faces from historical reality. The religion evolved and religious ideas, rather resembled a highly malleable piece of clay, shaped, pressed, stretched and rolled under the powerful ideas God pondering editors encountered in all the different places they find themselves marinating in. The proof of this is found in all the different cupcakes on offer in the biblical bakery of belief. In Judaism, we find the Essenes, Kairites, Sadducees and Pharisees... early Christianity (Ebionites) were not some hermetically sealed theological entity separated from Judaism, -not at all, early Christianity IS JUDAISM. They (like their messiah) were Jews and, as Jews, they embraced their Jewish identities, observed their Jewish holidays and observed Jewish laws ... just with new, updated insights that encompassed their exposure to ideas that evolved to include a syncretism of the God ideas they found themselves swimming in. And, surprise, surprise, we find in this early Jewish sect, surrounding the person of Yeshuah, a range of different beliefs as they sought to define meanings and get a sense of who and what they were and what they stood for... different Jewish communities that followed Yeshuah embrace different testimonies -(as many a 40 or more) before the disparate ideas were distilled into a more consolidated view through the efforts of the Pagan Roman emperor, Constantine. These later iterations would dismantle much of its earlier, Jewish theological doctrine in favor of more palatable ingredients (found in the Roman theological pantries) provoking Rabbi Singer's sentiment that, "Rome didn't convert to Christianity, Christianity converted to Rome!" And, at this point, the point when the new Jewish sect had morphed into a religion where many ideas central to the Jewish faith (like the oneness of God) was removed, the Jewish people by and large removed themselves from it, rejecting, by and large, the new theology that became, theologically speaking, a bridge too far as the Church moved on to focus on a much larger target, gentile subscriptions. The reality of the, very mortal processing of religious ideas is lost to believers who embrace their stories at close range but for those who are not tethered by deep emotional restraints, who are free to pull back and view the subject at a revealing distance and altitude, from these vantage points, the full spectrum of historical context (with all their influences) is exposed; we can more easily 'see' and tease out all the threads, connections, and engagement with the 'outside' world, we can see more clearly all the ideas and influences that are added to the mix with a type of clinical objectivity fundamentalism, (including Rabbi Singer) is not permitted to acknowledge. And BTW, I love Rabbi Singer.👈💕 ua-cam.com/video/NFGTu-OxFpU/v-deo.html
@David Tucker I could no more disprove Jesus any more than I could disprove Fairies, Gnomes, and Elves. All supernatural suppositions reside in that protected sweet spot of being both unprovable and unfalsifiable. I was, however, curious enough to take a deep dive into the Christian claims, having read several apologetic books including, "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell and, "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel (in addition to many debates and discussions on the UA-cam platform). Christian's, on the other hand, generally steer clear of any thoughtful challenges to their faith claims, so I'm gonna guess you never listened to a single one of Rabbi Singers 24 part, "Let's Get Biblical" audio series; essentially, the Jewish response to the Christian missionaries. - I listened to the entire series. Using only the bible as his source material, he completely eviscerates the Christian case, so if you're 'truly' interested in understanding why the Jews rejected Jesus (from a true scholar) instead of bantering with this armchair philosopher I suggest you check it out: outreachjudaism.org/lets-get-biblical-audio-series/

Or,... you should reread sacred verses from the Mishna Torah, (Judaism) for when you do the spirit will do more than sow seed. C'mon Dave! Where we going here? I already told you I read much of Christian apologetics, and Tovia Singer's 24 part rational exposure of intentional Christian mistranslations, distortions, contradictions, fabrications, and taking things out of context from Jewish scripture in order to create a new mythology, confirmed it was fraudulent. Your solution? Read it again. Look, I'm happy you derive meaning and purpose from these stories, but I went on a much deeper dive than most ever do but, at the end of the day (analysis), Christianity gets added to the scrap pile of 1,000 other deistic notions (999 of which, we BOTH agree are completely made up).

Derek, my jaw dropped when you said Rabbi Singer claimed that human sacrifice was an abomination in the Old Testament. "Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whosoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine" (Exod. 13:2). Weasely apologists claim this means that the children were consecrated to the service of God, but that is baloney. How do we know that? Because God says so: "Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgements whereby they should not live; And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord" (Ezek. 20:25-26).
He says the prophets in the Tanakh warned against the pagan liberalism of the Hellenistic period a millenia later. This just adds credence to the hypothesis that the Tanakh was written in the early third century BCE, _during_ the Hellenistic period
It's nice to hear about Christianity in its context. But Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all departures from what Celsus calls the Eternal Doctrine, meaning all of the native religions of the world's nations, i.e. Hinduism, Shinto, Romuva, Hellenism, Khemetism, etc. All Abrahamic traditions are impious departures of this kind.
@Abraham Mani Might be a similar reason such exorcisms have been able to be performed by all previous cultures' holy people as well. Except the difference is that those faiths are actually legitimate native traditions, as opposed to a foreign imposter religion.

However, given consciousness creates reality then Divine beings don't have to judge us as human consciousness is such a low frequency of consciousness, we now understand existence without love. Divine beings are offering us our treasures of life, back, which we lost in Lemuria / The Garden of Eden, because human consciousness is not considered to be alive and that is why these spaces have been spaces of entropy.

@Abraham Mani Oh, are you from Greece? I worship the Greek Gods. I never had any experiences with Jesus or his daddy. But the Greek and Egyptian Gods have been amazing in my experience. I'd love to go to Thessaloniki. I believe the Hellenists have a temple there.
@Abraham Mani He was also following a common trope. Yahweh isn't real. "When we say…Jesus Christ…was produced without sexual union, and was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended to heaven, ***we propound nothing new or different*** *from what you believe regarding those whom you call Sons of God. [In fact]…if anybody objects that [Jesus] was crucified, this is in* ***common*** *with the sons of Zeus (as you call them) who suffered, as previously listed [he listed Dionysus, Hercules, and Asclepius].* Since their fatal sufferings are all narrated as not similar but different, so his unique passion should not seem to be any worse." *Note how Justin (Martyr) is less of a fool than modern Christian apologists. He admits that differences don’t matter.* Since each and every one of the suffering and dying gods are slain by different means, one cannot argue the mytheme requires exactly the same means of death. “But Osiris can’t have inspired the Jesus myth because Osiris wasn’t nailed to a cross” is a stupid argument. The mytheme is simply death. Being killed. Suffering and dying. The exact mode of death can vary freely. It makes no difference to the existence and influence of the mytheme. It’s simply the particular instantiation of a generic abstraction. *And Justin’s argument (that Satan invented these fake religions to confuse people) entails Justin agreed the mytheme existed: indeed, it was demonically promulgated, multiple times. Intentionally.* *Likewise, Justin notices the mytheme is not virgin birth, but sexless conception. Of which many examples had already been popularized in pagan mythology (there just happens to also have been examples of actual virgin born gods as well). And by his argument (that the Devil was deliberately emulating the Jesus mytheme, in advance), Justin clearly accepted the same principle for “rising again” after death:* the particular exact metaphysics of the resurrection could, like the exact method of death or conception, vary freely. The mytheme consists solely of the abstraction: returning to life. Somehow. Some way. We will say bodily, at the very least. But what sort of body (the same one, a new one, a mortal one, an immortal one), didn’t matter. *If it had, Justin would have made the argument that “those gods” weren’t really resurrected. But that argument, never occurs to him. Nor did it to any other apologist of the first three centuries.* *Ancient Christians well knew there was nothing new about their dying-and-rising god. Not in respect to the mytheme.* Their claims were solely that his particular instantiation of it was better, and the only one that actually happened. *They didn’t make up the stupid modern arguments that dying-and-rising god myths didn’t exist or weren’t part of a common mytheme everyone knew about. For example, in the same century, Tertullian, in Prescription against Heretics 40, makes exactly the same argument as Justin. Funny that. They had better access to the evidence than we do. They knew what was really and widely the case. We should listen to them.* Google *"Dying-and-Rising Gods: It's Pagan, Guys. All stories in abrahamic religions come from other people and their religions: eg from Indo-Aryans and their Vedic texts (eg Noah was known as Manu in vedic texts as progenitor of mankind and Manu is related to Mannus in ancient germanic religion there he is too a progenitor of mankind, a reoccuring mystical figure among Indo-Europeans) , from Sumerians, Assyrians and Akkdians and their texts about Annunaki gods (in those texts it was described that man was made with mud... ), from ancient egyptians and their texts.....

Especially if you consider that the progenitors of those people were either despicable cheaters and slavers: Jacob, Juda... or maniacs: Abraham, Moses. Whats even more funny is, that the hebrew god has no consistent behaviour. Yahweh and El were not even one god historically. Hebrews later morphed them to one god. It’s interesting that Rabbi Singer would say it’s “the easiest” to disprove when so much time and effort is spent on attempting to do so here, yet it cannot and will not be stopped. Rabbi Singer you do have amazing hair, however, so I think you’ve got something going there. As for what you stated about Paul, Christ can be in us. It means inside of our hearts which refers to being part of us. This isn’t pagan in any way because it’s simply about love for Him. As we follow Him we can be more like Him, and the more we’re like Him the more we’ll recognize Him in our lives.
@abraham mani please consider that the catastrophe of the destruction of 2nd temple and Bar Kochbananen was caused by Daniels gals predictions of a comming messiah who will liberate and Blabla. This caused the believe of the Jews that they should fight the Romans after the „Seven Week“. It turned out to be a big misunderstanding and finally tha Flavians thought, they were „the Massiah“ according to the predictions. What a grotesk nightmare they brought on the Jewish people. So true. It is almost comical that this learned speaker can see the flaws in other people's religion, but seems oblivious to the obvious flaws in his own. He is confirmation bias on legs.
I agree with the Rabbi 100% when he says that abraham CAN NOT or Should Not Be Recognized as a Deity of any kind because, when abraham had a child, Issac, with his own Sister Sarah, abraham knew, he was committing a Sin, Sarah knew she was sinning !!!Tehra is Abraham's father, Tehra is Sarah's father, Sarah & Abraham were Brother & Sister having Baby together !! Hashem is an invention by jews as well. In the distant past: El and Yahwe were not even considered one deity. They were 2 different gods of one hebres/canaanite pantheon. Its funny how Singer considers Christianity man made nonsense but doesnt say the same truth about his religion Judaism who took mystical stories from other people as well eg from Indo-Aryans and their Vedic texts (eg Noah was known as Manu in vedic texts as progenitor of mankind and Manu is related to Mannus in ancient germanic religion there he is too a progenitor of mankind, a reoccuring mystical figure among Indo-Europeans) , from Sumerians, Assyrians and Akkdians and their texts about Annunaki gods (in those texts it was described that man was made with mud... ), from ancient egyptians and their texts..... Have you ever noticed that folks of other mythological backgrounds or different religions can always see the flaws not in themselves and their religions but in competing for folklore? It is obvious that Muslims can do it to others and Christians can do it to others and Jews can do it to others. That is why not one religion is true.
Very true. I only left Christianity some time after I discovered all the flaws in Islam. After a while I asked myself the honest question: "If I were to view my own religion from an outsider's perspective, would it stand up or fail?" The answer became a resounding no. I don't think most people ask themselves this question, they just let the confirmation bias take them hook, line and sinker. There are just as many flaws in Christianity than there are in Islam. And Judaism, hinduism etc. It's all BS.
@Abraham Mani Superstitious nonsense. Do you believe in the Muslim or Hindu "miracles" of sick people being healed? Neither do I. Same reasons I deny your "miracles". Come back here when God restores an amputee's legs back. It won't happen because GOD DOES NOT EXIST. That's why God can only do pathetic, weak "miracles", nothing like restoring an amputees legs. Show me ONE example of a person's legs miraculously returning to their body once chopped off. You can't even show one hahahahahahaha.
@Abraham Mani the questions you ask are not true questions you making declarations as to things that happened or will happen and none of them are actual statements of fact only claims of truth, mere assertions about very questionable happenings. So if you have questions like these in the future don't waste your time with this line of reasoning it's faulty and really very tiresome.
Very interesting. A very intelligent conversation, and really eye opening or should be anyways, to Christians who still think they're god is the same god as the god of the jews....so obviously not the case. Rabbi Tovia is great to listen to, well read and well spoken, but I do find it strange that he still believes in a god based on no good convincing evidence. He speaks of god and the fact that there is a heaven and a hell as if he actually knows this to be true, when the truth is, no one knows. And I also find it interesting how near the end he talks about god being faithful to the Jews after the holocaust....I wanted so badly to ask him, where was god during the holocaust? Why did god allow 11 million Jews to be brutally murdered? What kind of loving and all powerful god would allow 11 million of his "chosen people" to die so terribly? Opportunity missed indeed! Great talk though!

I think Christians (at least those true to Christian doctrine) can’t be personal or friendly toward people who disagree with them because they believe that person is going to hell and they deem it best to distance oneself from such a traumatic fate. Where there is less intimacy, there is less pain.
Tovia Singer condemns Christianity but then compromises with Islam. I find this hypocritical. Either Islam is wrong or right. If Muslims are right and worship one God, as Tovia claims, then why isn't he a Muslim ?
Well I’m not religious, but I know enough from my youth that Jesus broke bread with hell bound people. My understanding of Christian doctrine is that we are all “made in God’s image” and there for must be respected as such - hell bound people are also made in God’s image they just currently are not choosing to close the distance between themselves and God or some such thing. Also there’s the old, Prodigal Son thing, every one, including atheist and non believer is given free will, and the thing is for one to find one’’s way to got via their own volition, in their own time. Christianity is not so much a religion, i.e. something you join, as it is a decision to have a relationship with God and that subjective, subjective to one’s own mind, one’s own experiences etc…
I think that’s often the case, but it’s also why I actually find some well-intentioned missionaries’ efforts to be moving. Any true spiritual salvation would transcend our earthly notions of pleasure and pain. What pain would fire be to an eternal soul with knowledge of the Ultimate Truth?

I love this guy. Really good points. He gives a reflection that Judaism has a morality to it that everyone can get behind whether they're Atheist or not
Really? Morality like “kill all the boy children and the women who have known a man and keep the virgins for yourselves? Is that the type of morality you’re referring to? Or is it the slavery part?
This kind of morality? *This website is designed to spread the vicious truth about the Bible. For far too long priests and preachers have completely ignored the vicious criminal acts that the Bible promotes. The so called God of the Bible makes Osama Bin Laden look like a Boy Scout. This God, according to the Bible, is directly responsible for many mass-murders, rapes, pillage, plunder, slavery, child abuse and killing, not to mention the killing of unborn children.* I have included references to the Biblical passages, so grab your Bible and follow along. *It always amazes me how many times this God orders the killing of innocent people even after the Ten Commandments said Thou shall not kill.* For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses (Joshua 6). In Judges 21 He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! *Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody!* In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 & Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9). ***This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.*** ***Murder, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, and child abuse can not be justified by saying that some god says it’s OK.*** If more people would actually sit down and read the Bible there would be a lot more atheists like myself. *Jesus also promoted the idea that all men should castrate themselves to go to heaven:* For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it (Matthew 19:12). *I don’t know why anyone would follow the teachings of someone who literally tells all men to cut off their privates.* The God of the Bible also was a big fan of ritual human sacrifice and animal sacrifice. *And just in case you are thinking that the evil and immoral laws of the Old Testament are no longer in effect, perhaps you should read where Jesus makes it perfectly clear:* It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid (Luke 16:17). There are many more quotes on this topic at my Do Not Ignore the Old Testament web page. *If you follow the links on this site you will learn about all the nasty things in the Bible that are usually not talked about by priests and preachers.* www.evilbible.com/
The Abrahamic religions are basically barbaric, being written (not revealed) by men who thought the world was flat as a pancake and who believed their god ordered them to slaughter people because they were not his “chosen ones”. If there is ANY morality to be had, it is because humanity has evolved past barbaric commands and commandments. So if we have evolved past the dictates of “god”, perhaps we have evolved past the need for a god. Think about it won’t you. Thank you.

If you could point me in the direction of where I could further understand how/why the NT was added to the Hebrew Bible. Roman invention? Jewish suppression? Still in search for the truth on this one...
@Abraham Mani you believe? That’s just simply wrong. Iesus is a Greco-Roman mythologized character to suppress Jewish mysticism who violently revolted against the Roman Empire.
@KON3110 yes there is. It’s what you Christians hijacked and referred to as the “Old Testament”. The foundation on which the Christian faith was built exposed Christianity as a lie:
@Abraham Mani you’re cherry picking and misinterpreting the Hebrew Scriptures. The Jewish faith is correct in context of messianic prophecy - you are wrong. Your religious is inspired by Hebrew myth though your doctrine is additionally built upon pagan influence. It’s false. Conversation over.
@Abraham Mani “demon possessed and sick people”. These are very generalized ideas. Most of which should be addressed with real science - mental illness is a real problem not an issue caused by superstitious idiocy.
his name isn’t Jesus (it’s Iesus). There is no prophecy of a second coming. There is no prophecy of a virgin birth, rather, the messiah is prophesied as a familial descendent of King David. The Messiah is to bring global peace recognizing the Hebrew God as the true god - this has never happened, more wars have been fought, innocence slaughtered, indigenous enslaved on behalf of the Christian God. There are many more. In addition, Deuteronomy 24:16 completely destroys the premise of the Christian Bible. I am entertaining the Christian Bible as literally true which, evidently, it’s not. Daniel (if he existed) would have followed the false prophet commands in Deuteronomy 13. The Jewish people were very religious, steeped in mysticism which is why they did not get along with the Roman Empire,m who was empirical force that spit in the face of the Jewish faith - Iesus is a character in a Greco-Roman composed storybook who does not meet ALL prophecies in the Hebrew Bible. Of course they reject him.
What troubles me a lot about Christians is they think JESUS LIED when he repeatedly said "marriage ENDS at death" and you will never meet your spouse in Heaven. Why do they say, "Until DEATH DO US PART" which is exactly what Jesus says. I never heard a preacher deal with this!
Are there Rabbis who, after becoming scholars, turn into Atheism? That would be a heck of a show... Or even a great debate with the good Rabbi Singer.😈

It's great getting different perspectives and I'm glad you brought the rabbi on. People should know though that he brings up the concept of Deuteronomy and Romans and how he had a problem with Paul deleting the part that states it's not to difficult for you and not beyond their reach. To get the whole picture id like to point out that if you read a little further into Deuteronomy in the next chapter 31:14-30 and 32 you will find out that it was indeed hard for Israel to choose life over death. Furthermore if it is not hard or out of reach then why look for a Messiah. They clearly don't need him all they have to do is to willingly choose life. What are your thoughts?

When you say that there's nothing like "Christ in you" in Tanakh, I think you're being a little disingenuous. There's plenty of "The Spirit of the Lord" being in people or sort of "silently guiding" the narrative in Tanakh, which could definitely be seen as somewhat parallel to the "Christ in you." Don't get me wrong, I love watching Rabbi Singer tear the New Testament to shreds with ease, but I have caught him on a couple of occasions giving Judaism a bit more rope than he probably should. I know he just wants to highlight how radical Christianity is in comparison, but we're all seeking truth here. :)

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. The Judaism today, Talmudic Judaism isn’t anything like 1st century Judaism. Therefore if you’re comparing Christianity to Judaism of today , than yes so many differences. Judaism can be disproven easily. It’s an exclusive religion. You have to be born into it. I’m aware now people can convert but this hasn’t always been the case.
The Jews believe the coming of the Messiah is also the end of time. Jesus lived, died, and nothing happened. We are still here. Also in the Jewish faith, God would never impregnate a woman. That is a typical Greek thing.
Wild Woody how do you know that to be a typical Greek thing? You’re just making an assumption. Jesus is still gonna return have patience. You could just reverse that argument, this Jewish messiah hasn’t shown up so how can it be true?
@@amare.adonai5464 Because the old testament never speaks of such a thing. The Messiah comes from the seed of David, not from the seed of God. Besides God who gave birth to himself would never go through a period where he shits and pisses himself and is in a state of non perfection. Besides, wasn't childbirth not some kind of curse he put on Eve from being tempted? Is he letting himself been born through a curse? Jesus took all sins but never lifted that curse btw. Now Greek gods had children with mortal women all over the place. And all these children had some kind god power. Zeus' favorites were taken up to the heavens to be with him after their death, and some died very painful ways. The story of Jesus read exactly like a Greek drama play.
@@amare.adonai5464 the Jewish messiah is not a godman. But a warrior king who will return sovereignty to the Jews. And also, much like the sith, the Jewish Messiahs come in pairs - The Meshiah ben David - the warrior king and The Meshiah ben Yosef - The Priest. This hearkens back to the zugot era where every jewish king had an oppositional wise man or sage to keep him honest and to the era of Kings, when the prophet anointed the king. So yeah... let's not assume we know what words like "Messiah" actually mean, kay? Oh and of course the godman is a greek thing. Judaism has zero talk of godmen and deity-spawn. That's all greco-roman-egyptian stuff. Ever read any classical Greek play? The four gospels are structured exactly like those (and Josephus' 'War' has a distinct Senecan five act structure, but tat was probably by design, since Seneca was the talk of the town in those days)
Charleroi92 the Jews had different theories on what the messiah would be. But yes the popular belief was the one mentioned of the Jewish king. God has been represented as a man in scripture. He wrestled with Jacob he spoke with Abraham. He walked through the garden. When Jesus returns he will take his place as king. The gospels resemble the stories of genesis and the exodus.
I agree with Rav Singer on pretty much everything and have for many years...with the exception of how he views the Adam and Eve story. I agree with him that Adam and Eve's "sin" doesn't or didn't plague their descendants...i.e. Original sin. I don't agree when he calls the Adam and Eve situation a "Sin". The reason I say this is simple: The Torah itself is the foremost authority on what a sin is and is not. Without the Torah, there's literally no such thing as sin because we would not be aware of such. With this said, the Torah doesn't call this situation a sin. The first sin the Torah mentions is Cain killing Abel. Secondly, Adam and Eve did not know the difference between Good or Evil. Therefore, they did not know it was "sin" to disobey G-D before eating the fruit.
Hmmm...we have all these old myths and of course the Jewish books, but we need something new, something real catchy...hmmm...now I know, a son of God, a savior walking among us!!! That would do it, definitely, said the Roman while the empire cracked and broke around him.
As an AFRICAN AMERICAN ( AA ), I will debate the Good Rabbi. Human sacrifice was not foreign to Hebrews as Abraham almost sacrificed Issac. Did King David look like the statue in Rome?
I can't believe he goes on and on about the Scandinavian depiction of Jesus as if that has any basis for how it can't be true. Who gives a fuck, cultures do this sort of thing all the time. The Buddha is an example of this. If you go to India, he is depicted looking Indian. If you go to Japan the Buddha is depicted looking Japanese. If you go to Cambodia, he looks Cambodian, if you go to China, he looks Chinese. If you go to Tibet or Nepal, he looks Tibetan. Going back to Jesus for a minute, if you go to Ethiopia, they have a black Jesus painting, and believe Jesus was of African origin and not middle eastern at all. Cultures do this sort of thing, so what if you approach some black guy and make it into a joke that Jesus is portrayed as a long flowing hair with no split ends and a beard that makes even the most loyal hipster jealous and skin so pale, that if he were in the middle east would probably have died of skin cancer rather than being crucified. Such a dumb argument.
Fascinating. Never occurred to me that Jesus did not say, "I forgive your sins." However, after doing a short search, there is this Mark 2:10: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. and also, here's Mathew copying Mark Mathew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. There are also other verses ( in John, e.g.) which are similar. This is just a short search. Many more examples undoubtedly can be found that others can also forgive sins. Clearly, the text implies that, but does not state it directly as, "I forgive your sins." But it IS interesting that in no gospel is the direct saying above: I forgive your sins. Even when it might be expected, as in Jesus doing a healing and then saying, "Go, I have forgiven your sins." What's interesting is apparently there was no tradition in the late first century (when Jesus was indeed seen as being a historical person) of him saying such a thing. So no gospel writer had him say it. But even more interesting is no gospel writer even ASSERTED (even though no tradition existed, they could have just assumed it must have happened and put the phrase in Jesus' mouth). Why not? Why not put in Jesus' mouth, "I have forgiven your sins"? They obviously believed he was the Son of God; so why not have him say that phrase? Good question for Dr. Price.
I know right? I felt the same way when I found out that scholars were questioning whether Jesus really existed as a historical figure, the things we assume!

I never was a Hebrew Israelite, because I was born in a Jewish family, therefore, I have always been Jewish. A great discussion and I don't dispute Rabbi Singer's scholarship that points to all the, 'non-kosher' ingredients that went into the Christian porridge. However, the Rabbi conveniently fails to acknowledge all the alien notions that likewise finds it's way into the Jewish faith.
TL;DR ☆☆ Warning:
For example, what was the
Persian influence on Judaism?
And BTW, I love Rabbi Singer.👈💕

Christian's, on the other hand, generally steer clear of any thoughtful challenges to their faith claims, so I'm gonna guess you never listened to a single one of Rabbi Singers 24 part, "Let's Get Biblical" audio series; essentially, the Jewish response to the Christian missionaries. - I listened to the entire series.
Using only the bible as his source material, he completely eviscerates the Christian case, so if you're 'truly' interested in understanding why the Jews rejected Jesus (from a true scholar) instead of bantering with this armchair philosopher I suggest you check it out:

Christianity had an ulterior motive. They wanted to put down Judaism and paint it in a bad light. So the mental gymnastics were deliberate.

@David Tucker Nonsequitur. Why not address the issue?
He says the prophets in the Tanakh warned against the pagan liberalism of the Hellenistic period a millenia later. This just adds credence to the hypothesis that the Tanakh was written in the early third century BCE, _during_ the Hellenistic period

Until the Rosetta Stone was deciphered at the
beginning of the nineteenth century, historians believed
that the Israelites had really spent hundreds of years in
Egypt, becoming enslaved until Moses led them on a
great Exodus to the land of the Canaanites.
As they began to use the Rosetta Stone to help
translate the numerous Egyptian records from the Late
Bronze Age, Egyptologists were amazed to find there
was no evidence that the Israelites had ever been in
Egypt, and no evidence of a great, biblical Exodus of
slaves. As the real history of the Israelites as native
Canaanites began to unfold, historians were forced to
the conclusion that the stories of Joseph and his

sojourn in Egypt, the biblical Exodus and the conquest
of the Canaanite cities was a national foundation myth
-a mere fictional story.

@Abraham Mani mythology
[In fact]…if anybody objects that [Jesus] was crucified, this is in* ***common*** *with the sons of Zeus (as you call them) who suffered, as previously listed [he listed Dionysus, Hercules, and Asclepius].* Since their fatal sufferings are all narrated as not similar but different, so his unique passion should not seem to be any worse."
*Note how Justin (Martyr) is less of a fool than modern Christian apologists. Intentionally.*
*Likewise, Justin notices the mytheme is not virgin birth, but sexless conception. Nor did it to any other apologist of the first three centuries.*
*Ancient Christians well knew there was nothing new about their dying-and-rising god. We should listen to them.*

Canaanites began to unfold, historians were forced to
the conclusion that the stories of Joseph and his
brothers were myths and that the entire story of the
sojourn in Egypt, the biblical Exodus and the conquest
of the Canaanite cities was a national foundation myth
-a mere fictional story.

The Revelation of Jesus tells of things to come that have actually materialized. Good is evil and evil is good today.
Has that always been true? It could be, but there is that part about delusion, a great delusion, that seems to be very much a part of what we are seeing and probably have never seen on a scale this large.
Butchering and chemically castrating young people like the child sacrifices of the days before Jesus are becoming more acceptable. Fifty million abortions a year worldwide are children sacrificed on the alter of self love.
This is truly not a good thing when the most vulnerable are created and discarded in the name of lust and freedom of choice.

Nah, he just dislikes Christianity and portrays it as it is what it is: man made story. Unfortunately he is a hypocrite who forgets to tell truth about his own religion who took tales from ancient people before: Indo-Aryans and Vedic texts, Sumerians, Assyrians and Akkadians and their ancient texts about Annunaki gods, Egyptian texts....

In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered
The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 & Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9). ***This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.***
***Murder, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, and child abuse can not be justified by saying that some god says it’s OK.*** If more people would actually sit down and read the Bible there would be a lot more atheists like myself. *I don’t know why anyone would follow the teachings of someone who literally tells all men to cut off their privates.*
The God of the Bible also was a big fan of ritual human sacrifice and animal sacrifice.
*If you follow the links on this site you will learn about all the nasty things in the Bible that are usually not talked about by priests and preachers.*

Where did he say this?
Are there Rabbis who, after becoming scholars, turn into Atheism? That would be a heck of a show... Or even a great debate with the good Rabbi Singer.😈
Yahweh inspired child sacrifice to himself
Judges 11:29-31
Then the spirit of Yahweh came on Jephthah…. And Jephthah made a vow to Yahweh : “… whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be Yahweh’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering {‘ō·lāh}.
God bless Rabbi Tovai who reveals the rruth and helps us to have a free mind for understanding! ! Happy Christmas from Germany! Rabbi Jesus is still my man!
jesus, the dead carpenter, isn't messiah@ed van eckert
@abraham mani FAKE NEWS MANI # 1 troll here on youtube. Your false messiah, the dead carpenter, is fake news. Nowhere in Tanakh is he alluded to as a deity; in fact, you're practicing idolatry and blasphemy against the ONE ETERNAL GD, because there is NONE ELSE. ISAIAH 43:10-11 ( THERE IS NO SAVIOR BUT GD) and the carpenter ISN'T GD. The fake news, new testament is a book of FICTION AND LIES. Now, go away.
@abraham mani jesus the FALSE MESSIAH.
Yahweh had a wife until the monotheistic empire of the Persians sent their agent Ezra to “teach “ judaism to the jews . Suddenly they too became monotheistic with a light vs dark idea like zoroastrianism
I love Rabbi Tobias Singer
Why? I m sure he doesnt love you.
Exactly. Infusing the holy in the physical. I am the bread of life. You who come to me shall not hunger. And if you eat of this bread, you shall live forever. And I will raise you up on the last day. Lord Jesus, please open our eyes to see how we are so infused with (SIN), how the blood of goats and rams isn’t sufficient to infuse us with that holiness needed to be in the eternal presence of your father. Thank you for coming to save the entire creation through the children of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
Rejoice O Israel .. I’ll debate you and day of the week. Be blessed…
Claiming certainty about permanent hell and who is in it is a deal breaker for me.
New fan of the Rabbi here. These videos are great!
@abrahammani-3445 Take your fear-mongering elsewhere. I agree it's an effective strategy though, in lieu of the ability to persuade otherwise.
@@tayrowell you owned him, god damn it. You are very strong.
He is just a hypocrite. Jews themselves took religious tales from Indo-Aryan Vedic texts (eg Manu /Mannus who escapes flood with help from Vishnu ) and from Sumerian Annunaki tales.
The atheist guy doesn't know the Odyssey. The Gods are Everly Merciful and Its Lord Poseidon who calms and starts the Storm and ends it for Blessed Odysseus.
@Abraham Mani your lying and debaptize with water and power and earth and spirit and fire etc. Thessalonica proves otherwise.
@Abraham Mani you are demon possessed. True saviors save. Demons and devils have you.
Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on UA-cam. The video reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World. Tooth Fairy claims Santa Clause does not exist.
The early church "fathers" were not inspired....
Judaism is even easier, I would argue the easiest way to refute Christianity is to refute its roots in Judaism
Hmmm...we have all these old myths and of course the Jewish books, but we need something new, something real catchy...hmmm...now I know, a son of God, a savior walking among us!!! That would do it, definitely, said the Roman while the empire cracked and broke around him.
God is white? In my mind God looks like Morgan Freeman.
Tovia is my fav Rabbi
Hopefully someday I will meet him ❤
As an AFRICAN AMERICAN ( AA ), I will debate the Good Rabbi.
Never occurred to me that Jesus did not say, "I forgive your sins." However, after doing a short search, there is this
Mark 2:10: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
and also, here's Mathew copying Mark
Mathew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
There are also other verses ( in John, e.g.) which are similar.
This is just a short search. Many more examples undoubtedly can be found that others can also forgive sins. Clearly, the text implies that, but does not state it directly as, "I forgive your sins."
But it IS interesting that in no gospel is the direct saying above: I forgive your sins.
