Jason has come 1,000s of miles since he played with Doc Hamilton, Now he's with the Big Boys and playin his A Game!!! Agree? He and Patrick McEveeny are the new Kenny Baker and Vasser Clements IMO. Not forgetting Stewart Duncan of course.
probably one of the best bluegrass songs of all time. top 10 easily. another you might like "Who's that knocking at my door?" by the dreadful snakes. also Béla Fleck has a song "Whitewater" - all instrumental but the guy is like Mozart of Bluegrass
Play that fiddle Jason Carter. You are rocking it!!! AS far as I know Del used Martin D18's. He played Big Mon's D18 while was with him/ I've read Del and 108 other pickers were in the BB Boys band. (Per a Monroe interview)
Del has one of my all-time singing voices and always a band full of great musician , singers themselves. I love all music if it's good Del and Band jump out on some songs I never thought I'd hear em do and them players can own the tune then.
Best bluegrass band ever!
Del McCoury is the best rhythm guitarist in Bluegrass music.
Jason Carter you da man!!!!
America's best bluegrass band , without any doubt. Very tight harmonizing, wow. mos60

So, this is the Del Mc Coury Band.. nice rendition of a Petersen Family Band cover!!!!!!
Love this! ❣ Especially that fiddle break❣💔💔💔

Look up "High Lonesome Sound" in the dictionary, this is the picture.
You always gotta watch that old blue piece of paper.
Good stuff
Id be the kid screaming nextdoor. This is the awesome.
Patrick's last name is McAvinue not McAveeny. My bad!!!
Always wanted my sons to join me in picking Bg. They couldnt play a lick!!!
James king
I see Del is still playing the same ole Martin D18. He played Big Mons D18 while he was a BG Boy.
Bill's guitar was a D-28.
Looks like theyre using a LDC mic instead of a good old dynamic
Or Sideline to name three great BG bands.
I believe Bg family groups RULE (in the genetics donch'a know?)
THE MAN also wrote this.
Ronnie could sing tenor to a siren.......
Lindsey Walker Sing tenor to a siren!
Lindsey Walker a high pitch sireen
Del is singing tenor in this song.
DEL ALWAYS DOES THE TENOR PART
mosrite: Whatta bout Balsam Range and 3rd Tyme Out? TH\hey're not chopped liver.
Liatfn to The Petersens' version. It's a tad more vibrantvthan Del's though.
