You can tell these guys are pros. They know a lot about studio recording dynamics. Notice how they back down in volume when the lead vocalist sings and when other players play solos so that they can be heard the most but still provide backing. Awesome!

Is it just me, or does American want our country to be what John Denver imagined it would be? An honest, pure and beautiful country it once was for a brief spell? I do believe it that is what America wants and needs. Now more then ever. Blue grass really takes it home for me!

It is not easy to actually improve such a classic performed by an icon, but these guys do with their blue grass touch on what has now become the anthem for West Virginia.
I'm from WV and I agree! I love the original, but this shoots it out of the stratosphere. I have seen the band live and they always bring me to tears. Their version of Country Roads is the best in the universe!!!
