Thanks for the Mother's Day video. I love it. A great band, music video and song for you two to react to would be Wolf Totem by The Hu Band. They're a Mong band from Mongolia. You'll love them and they are very different but amazing. ❤
They wrote it in one day and did this live in one take...one mike...no autotune back then...and they donated all the proceeds of this song to unicef. .,.to this day...SO happy you love them too😊
They were lip syncing to the original track. They recorded 9 Vocal tracks in the studio. Can't do that live. Also Barry's high notes continue to sing in the chorus even as he's singing fill-ins. And let's not forget the fade out at the end. If the Fade Out was live you would hear each instrument stop at some point. It's a perfect Studio Fade Out. Studio being the operative word
This was pure music, pure talent from a less cynical world.. No auto-tune, no computers, just three beautiful Brothers with beautiful voices in front of a gorgeous Orchestra singing their hearts out ❤
My God, I so hope someone is showing this to Barry! ❤️🙏🏻 He deserves to know how much joy they still give to the world & the new generation,l. They're loved as much as decades ago. Well done, you too!

I am a 72 year old whiie woman who loves watching your reactions to the music we loved so much in the 60's and 70's. Nothing compares IMO. The BeeGees were phenominal, all of their songs are awesome. I have had one of their songs running through my head for years. Their harmonies, the two leads...just pure talent. True story I saw a documentary on them many years ago... when they lived in Manchester, England (where my mum was from), when they were little boys and would go out on outings with mum and dad their mum said they were always singing and harmonizing in the back seat of the car. One day she said to Dad, we should do something with these boys' voices, then the emigrated to Australia where they started singing in talent shows.

Underrated? 😊😂😂. With respect, that word is vastly overused. Bee Gees have mad respect from the biggest names in history. Many number ones, song writers, Rock Hall of Fame, Grammy Awards, worked with everyone from Streisand to Dolly Parton, even the Foo Fighters love them. They made movies, TV specials and also had solo hits as well as a band. Please don’t say they’re the most underrated band ever. That’s just ridiculous
Barry and his beautiful soaring falsetto voice shines on this song and sends it soaring to a whole other stratosphere. Their beautiful harmonies are out of this world ❤❤❤
OMG I LOVE YOU TWO!!! You don’t know how HAPPY you both just made me right now. You both are perfect for being smart enough and open to realizing the greatness of my favorite band, The Bee Gees! I love y’all
Yes that’s right the Bee Gees were no joke, they had a lot of ranges and a lot of soul. I have to say this is one of the BEST reactions ever! I love how they’re really getting into it they feel it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@elizabethgari4909 thank you for clearing that up. To me the craziest part is that I grew up listening to them ( because I’m old and stuff) and never knew they we’re twins. maybe it’s because I really liked Andy Gibb. I even went to our local T shirt shop got a lime green T-shirt and had them put an Andy Gibb iron -on, on it. I think that’s what the decal process was back in the 70s. Man; I loved that T-shirt !!! lol
Seriously? Of course 'they' do. There are incredible musicians out there today writing music just as good as this. You just don't hear it on the mainstream radio. I'm a professional musician, and listen to amazing modern music every day. Too many ignorant people don't realise that musicians now are generally better than musicians 30+ years ago because of our access to knowledge. Also the people behind the popular music are generally pretty damn good too. The musicians playing on tracks, mixing, producing are the best we've ever seen.
@@brassholio just read your comment and thought I would drop one regarding it...you say there are ppl now writing and recording music just as good as this, I want you to name just one song recorded within the last 10 years which you would consider to be a classic, remember this song is over 40 yrs old...and it was recorded when there wasn't so much 'technology' has there is now, so I want you to tell me one song recorded in the last 10 yrs which is a classic
@@rikkiejohnson9134 What is the criteria for a 'classic'? We can't know what music is going to be a classic in 40 years time. I would say I have a much more informed perspective of this than you, given that music is literally my industry and I have been working professionally for 20 years. Why not listen to some Dirty Loops or Snarky Puppy or Jacob Collier. They're more popular but still decent representations of interesting music that still grooves. Gordon Goodwin or Michael Giacchino are phenomenal, award winning composers, writing excellent music as we speak. The problem is, the common consumer gets so obsessed with popular music and everything that comes with it (good looking, young people selling sex in their film clips, instagram, twitter etc). I personally love the Bee Gees. There are some pop tunes that I like as well. I also listen to music from pretty much every genre. The Bee Gees harmonies and voicings really aren't that complicated, so to say that they don't write songs like this any more is silly, because pop music is littered with it.
I’m in tears smiling. I’ve been a Bee Gees fan FOREVER!!! Watching you both totally made my day. Going through a tough loss right now and thank you both for making me smile.
Born in the 60’s, teen in the 70’s , college kid in the 80’s. The best of times ! Thrilled that this young generation is realizing how truly amazing that music was. ❤
No, not live. This recording has 27 vocal tracks; 18 done solo by Barry and 9 of the 3 brothers together. The recording was (apparently) simple - Barry laid each track first time, each one note, phrase and breath perfect. Maestro.
I think, one thing that amazes me is that they all sing over a single microphone. why is it amazing? this means there's no recording mixing among their voices, has to be done MANUALLY between them. yet they manage to go closer and further perfectly, to allow each and everyone voices can be heard.
Full orchestra, one mic, recorded live, one take, no auto tune or computers. Just hard work. Donated all proceeds from this to UNICEF for hungry children. Welcome to the 70s where men sang TO women and not ABOUT them! Great reaction y’all!
HANDS DOWN.... you guys' reaction is just too good! Ya'll reacted genuinely but in the most fun way. Looooooove it! These guys are one of my favorite band. The harmony is just way out there, man.
Fun fact about The Beegees. The beegees actually helped save Diana Ross’ career and cement her as a legend. Her career was struggling so the beegees decided to help. They wrote the song Chain Reaction and even sang the backing vocals on it. Once you hear it and know you can never unhear it! They have written so much for other artists as well as their own hits. Their contribution to music is stupendous
Try this story with another artist. Diana Ross was a part of the Supremes and they were stars before the Bee Gees ever arrived on the scene. Chain Reaction? I never heard of it and at nearly 60 years old, I know all of Diana Ross's music. Diana Ross was already a legend Dipshit! Look up Diana Ross and the Supremes greatest hits.
I have been listening to the Bee Gees for almost 50 years. They are the only group that I love EVERY song. No skipping over any of their music. Do yourselves a favor and listen to more of their music. You won't regret it!!!💜💜💜🤗
It made me so happy to hear u say your children will hear this music. I was introduced to the beegees when I was a kid and I believe it's what led me to love & appreciate R&B and soul. I know that when u guys have kids, you will fill their lives with music. And it will be a great gift!!

I love that the younger generation is listening to this music and enjoying it. I'm a 60 two-year-old white lady and I grew up on. This music grew up in the 60s and the 70s and the beegees. I was just in love with them. As you can see, the music back then really made you feel something inside so it was really easy to find yourself falling in love when you are listening to music like this with the person that you were loved.
All young people should go back and listen to the 70 and 80 music. They were amazing and still. The BEE GEES is one of the amazing groups. I love them forever❤❤
I'm so happy to see the younger generation appreciate what real music was like back in the day. I'm 55 now, but was 12 years old when this song came out. I loved it then and still do today. It's a timeless classic that I will never get tired of listening too.
In the 1970s, sweetie, we were as nuts about this as y'all. I wore out 8-track tapes of Bee Gees albums. I played it in my T-bird constantly. I was in love with Barry Gibb. So you go ahead and rejoice that we all happened to be on earth at the same time.
Because I'm a 90s kid I grew up listening to these songs on cassette and radio, as a young kid I never realized this music was from the 70s I just thought it was stuff that came out at the time. I'm 28 now and still enjoy digging into their catalogue, they have so many great songs.
You two have just given me the greatest reaction to a song... EVER!! I kept replaying it because the song is magic and your reactions put me over the moon!! Thank you both for making my night!!!

This music makes little shivers run through me every time. When I hear music from this era I wish I could go back to the 70s. It was such a beautiful time x I love your appreciation of true magic x
The Gibbs brothers had been harmonizing together since they were little kids, so they had around 20 years of experience by the time they recorded this song, and that amazing, flawless harmony proves every minute of practice those 20 years. It should also be remembered that the BeeGees wrote most of these songs and also played guitar, bass, and keyboards on them. The level of talent was incredible.
I have watched a ton of reaction videos to this song, but this is BY FAR my favorite!! You two are hilarious and adorable!! I love how much you appreciate the Brothers Gibb. Truly legendary!!! Only Barry left now, which is heartbreaking....so glad you found and appreciate them so much!
@@maine-bill7276 The parents lived on the Isle Of Man. That's where Barry was born. They then moved to Manchester England. That's where Maurice and Robin were born. The family moved to Australia to get a fresh start their Father Hugh Gibb's Jazz band gigs dried up. Also due to their mischief. They were there doing gigs and had a hit single there just before returning to England.
@@michaellincoln3739 actually they were singing long before they emigrated to Australia. They formed the group the Rattlesnakes and performed at venues. And they only lived in Australia for 9 years. Barry was nearly 12 when he and his family emigrated. So he in fact spent most of his childhood within the British Isles. Probably the reason why he and the twins never lost their English accents.
We were so spoiled in the 60's and 70's. We were the luckiest generation for music! I just took the BeeGees for granted. I grew up hearing them all the time.
They were all born in the UK, they immigrated to Australia. Amazing band of the ‘70’s, an amazing song, best era to be alive, wouldn’t change it for anything. Go Bee Gees( Gibb brothers) xx
The Bee Gees (the Brothers Gibb) didn't just sing it, they wrote it! They not only wrote the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, but also wrote amazing hits for Barbra Streisand (GUILTY) and Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers (ISLANDS IN THE STREAM), just to name a few! They have been duly inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame., Their younger brother, Andy Gibb, had a few hits of his own in the 70's before his untimely death. SADLY, twins, Maurice and Robin have left this world. Only main singer, Barry, remains. They deserve all the accolades they have already received and the ones still due!😇❤

My childhood right there 💗 My older sister and I 👩👧💕
My favorite group , I am hooked on the Bee Gees 48 years now. Those harmonies and Barry's falsetto vocals are divine gifts.
Never ever underrated in my eyes!!!❤❤❤
I’m not sure where you get underrated
I love seeing people’s reactions to old classics, meanwhile my old soul knows the lyrics word for word!
Their were 4 brothers and the younger one that died at about 32 years old sounded just like his brothers it was sad.
Barry and his beautiful soaring falsetto voice shines on this song and sends it soaring to a whole other stratosphere. Their beautiful harmonies are out of this world ❤❤❤
Ok, young folk. This is THE BEST reaction for any Bee Gees song ever. I really enjoyed watching you two today! You were really feeling the music.
I love these reactions when Barry takes it up a notch... just genuine love and respect for that voice.
The harmony of the 2 brothers, Robin and Maurice who are twins, is magic.
Yeah, the brothers need to be given credit too. But Barry killed this. His voice...dayum.
where are they twins? I didn’t know that.
@@natsmatratatat the twins Re the other 2 singers. They are fraternal twins not identical. They dont even resemble each other. Crazy, right?
@@elizabethgari4909 thank you for clearing that up. To me the craziest part is that I grew up listening to them ( because I’m old and stuff) and never knew they we’re twins.
maybe it’s because I really liked Andy Gibb. I even went to our local T shirt shop got a lime green T-shirt and had them put an Andy Gibb iron -on, on it. I think that’s what the decal process was back in the 70s. Man; I loved that T-shirt !!! lol
Yeah Andy was the CUTE one!!!!
A lot of people were conceived with this song. You can't tell me otherwise.
So when did a young person need an excuse?
We called it “Baby Making Music” back in the day.
You can credit 25% to 35% of the population to Bee Gees and Air Supply.
@@acyour aaahhh, Air Supply, I remember my sister and my girl cousins all crying over their cassette back in ‘81!
Yep
It's so sweet to see young people appreciating our old school stuff! Back in my day, BeeGees was THE make out music, for obvious reasons.
I’m an older woman and I just love these kids. They get it.
man, they literally don't write songs like this anymore. Listen to lyrics and harmonies. just on another level. period.
Barry Gibb has written something like 1000 songs, most performed by other people.
Times change, Can't expect everything to stay the same. I hear you tho old school music hit different 💯
Your reactions were the most fun, energetic and hilarious I have ever seen! When you grabbed your girl and kissed her! Nothing more honest than that!
Born in the 60’s, teen in the 70’s , college kid in the 80’s. The best of times ! Thrilled that this young generation is realizing how truly amazing that music was. ❤
Barry has such control and he sings it so beautifully
Live and no auto tune....Raw Talent
Great reaction y’all!
. Well said ! 🌻
Uhhhh...can we just appreciate how naturally beautiful she is. No makeup needed whatsoever! 😌
Nah I'm an adult thanks
She is very pretty, you are right.
Yes she is!
Very.
And she has a great man ❤❤
The Bee Gees are from a parallel universe. No one comes close to them. Love your genuine reactions. Good music has no color.
HANDS DOWN.... you guys' reaction is just too good! Ya'll reacted genuinely but in the most fun way. Looooooove it! These guys are one of my favorite band. The harmony is just way out there, man.
Dude, we've been worshipping the greatness of this song and those voices for 45 years!
🫶
I can’t believe you fall for these phony reactions
@@richardlacey4923 Phony reactions or not, it’s about spreading beautiful music to people from all backgrounds around the world, or generation to generation. And I think that is a wonderful thing.
My kids, when we have them, will be raised on this music too.
@@spinks1369 Well said! I think everyone chose not respond to that ugly comment so we don't give it any weight. But I'm so glad you said that at least. It was the right thing to do. Thank you for saying it.
You guys are great! Love how you feeeeel it!
Guys these guys are actually ENGLISH !!!
@@stephenwright4917Right! From Isle Of Man in the UK.Barry,Robin,Maurice and Andy. The four boys of Barbara and Hugh Gibb.
I'm so happy to see the younger generation appreciate what real music was like back in the day. I'm 55 now, but was 12 years old when this song came out. I loved it then and still do today. It's a timeless classic that I will never get tired of listening too.
Bee Gees Forever ❤❤❤❤
In the 1970s, sweetie, we were as nuts about this as y'all. I wore out 8-track tapes of Bee Gees albums. I played it in my T-bird constantly. I was in love with Barry Gibb. So you go ahead and rejoice that we all happened to be on earth at the same time.
Because I'm a 90s kid I grew up listening to these songs on cassette and radio, as a young kid I never realized this music was from the 70s I just thought it was stuff that came out at the time. I'm 28 now and still enjoy digging into their catalogue, they have so many great songs.
One of the best songs ever written! ❤❤
Yesssssss!!!!!
You two have just given me the greatest reaction to a song... EVER!! I kept replaying it because the song is magic and your reactions put me over the moon!! Thank you both for making my night!!!

@@theodoreritola7641 Fuck yes me too. The perfect time in American history.
I didn't know they played most of the instruments, amazingly talented brothers.

The Gibb family is from England. Their family moved to Australia when they were kids.
they are from the isle of man. then australia then england now barry is only one left living in miami.
@@maine-bill7276 That's correct, and their parents were English.

Usually I don't like when reactors stop the song, but you guys showed a real authentic appreciation for this classic

There's a great new documentary on the Bee Gees called 'How can you mend a broken heart'. It's terrific. Sad but terrific.
Highly recommend this documentary. Amazing.
I’ve watched it three times❤️❤️❤️
Their best is “Fanny (Be Tender with My Love)”.
Music like this makes love to your soul. I don't care who you are or what your generation is. If you listen to this, you will melt.
They have been duly inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.,
Their younger brother, Andy Gibb, had a few hits of his own in the 70's before his untimely death.
SADLY, twins, Maurice and Robin have left this world. Only main singer, Barry, remains. They deserve all the accolades they have already received and the ones still due!😇❤
Had so many hits at one time in the charts
There singing is jaw dropping.
