Elvis the pelvis he was called. When he first appeared on TV, they would only film him from the waist up, lol. He was the sexiest man alive. He was the King of Rock...we all were in love with him.
I was just about to comment about how they would only show him from the waist up on tv cause they found his dancing offensive.... I'd love to see those people's reaction to music today.
Fun Fact: Elvis Presley was known as the sexiest man alive in his generation he was known as the King of Rock and Roll and he was the first person ever to have a major audience When Elvis Said 'Aloha' From Hawaii, The World Watched On January 14, 1973, Elvis Presley made history as the first solo entertainer to hold a live concert broadcast internationally via satellite
I was said that ' Girls want to be with him and guys want to be like him '....Heck, I even read where some guys want to be with him as well..lol...Elvis was truly the epitome of the ' rags to riches ' story. His entire life was so compelling. In my opinion, if a song that truly signifies Elvis's life, it's ' Fame and Fortune '...On a side note, and out of all of the songs Elvis ever sang or recorded, ' Fame and Fortune ' was Elvis dad's favorite song...Cheers..
The reason Elvis had smooth moves was because he was inspired by blues, gospel and rhythm-and-blues, including the Memphis radio shows hosted by such local disc jockeys as B.B. King and Rufus Thomas, both of whom also sang live during their broadcasts. He was my Mom's fav, they were both born in 1935. Stay solid Chris & Rheasia and thanks!

React to him on Ed Sullivan and make people's heads explode when they realize he was only shot from the waist up on the THIRD appearance. The first two his whole body is shown. He was usually wilder on Milton Berle's Stage Show though.

In an interview once, he was asked about his "moves". He said when they started out, he went backstage and someone told him to get back out there and do what he'd been doing. He asked, "what have I been doing". They said moving your arms and legs all around. He said to the interviewer, "and I've been doing it ever since"! When this was out, Elvis appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and they only showed him from the waist up because his dance moves were thought of as lewd and shouldn't be seen by young people.
There is a reason Elvis was able to move and dance like that - he had hypermobility - according to VERY good sources, and I have had my physical therapists confirm most dancers cannot move in these very amazing ways with normal mobility range. They have to have hypermobility. This condition also comes with chronic pain in joints and the body, and when he died it was on a full cocktail of meds as he complained of sever epain so much. And by the time he died he didnt move or dance like he did here. A book about his medical conditions has recently been released, and I see many very talented dancers on youtube - who are clearly hypermobile. I am also hyper mobile, and I have friends who LOVE to dance and they cannot, no matter the years they have tried, be able to do the moves i can. But if i could swap the dance ability for no pain - I would any day! Its one of the reasons ballet is such a disciplined dance form because you HAVE to be able to do it without injuring your body. Many of these dancers DO injure themselves because of their hypermobility.
Elvis was 22 when he recorded this song. You should watch the entire movie --same title as the song. He died August 16, 1977 -- 44 years and one month ago.
If you're gonna start reacting to Elvis start from his hits in the 50s and work your way up to the 70s. That way you will see him grow and evolve. People who do it the other way around are always confused! 😀
Elvis died in 1977 he was on tour. I lived in Roanoke Va. My mom bought tickets but he died.i told her keep tickets they be worth something. She cashed them in.
When people first heard Elvis, they thought he was black because at the time this style of music was mainly in the African-American communities or sung by them. Rock started in the black communities. Interesting how later it changed. Also, how he danced was considered too sexual at the time, so on TV they would only air it waist up.

The king 🔥👑
If you're gonna start reacting to Elvis start from his hits in the 50s and work your way up to the 70s. That way you will see him grow and evolve. People who do it the other way around are always confused! 😀
so are Elvis fans, so what's the big deal?
What a beautiful day, thanks zappa fan, hahahaha

Micheal Jackson was married to Elvis daughter Lisa Marie. They had kids from previous relationships but not together
Elvis died in 1977 he was on tour. I lived in Roanoke Va. My mom bought tickets but he died.i told her keep tickets they be worth something. She cashed them in.
you gotta check out Elvis sing, 'in the ghetto'. it will flip your brain.
Man you guys went back back back in rock n roll lol
When people first heard Elvis, they thought he was black because at the time this style of music was mainly in the African-American communities or sung by them. Rock started in the black communities. Interesting how later it changed. Also, how he danced was considered too sexual at the time, so on TV they would only air it waist up.
An excellent song of his is "if I can dream". The song is based off of Martin Luther king Jr. My favourite.
