This game is a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, it’s nowhere near the level of the previous Jak games-not awful, but not as good as it could have been. On the other hand, I love watching Jak and Keira together. Obviously the kiss at the end is awesome, but it’s not just that. Their interaction throughout the game seems so much more intimate than before.
My favorite things about this game: Jak having control of the red, blue, green, and yellow ecos, and using them in different ways. And Dark Daxter. I don't understand why people hated this game so much

Fun Fact: Tim the cast away sage was originally supposed to be a purified amnesiac Gol from the first game. *Yeah, I know. They actually cut that out.* (They were also planning to have Maia return in a sequel to this for the Vita, but everything went belly up before anything more than lost concept art could be materialized. *Her concept design was actually REALLY badass...)*

It is. It was created by Naughty Dog as a side story after the series finale, and intended to reinforce Keira's role and her relationship with Jak, since it was terrible in Jak 3, it tells us what happened to Krew's plans and makes daxter even more epic
It doesn't make sense to call this a Jak 4. Thats like calling Spyro: Season Of Ice a Spyro 4. This game could have had a possibility of a Jak and Ratchet cross over like what we got in 2004 with Crash and Spyro
I've got an idea! If Naughty Dog ever decides to return to Jak and Daxter, they can play off TLF like it had been a movie! The director couldn't convince the real Jak to act in it so they had to find a double. Keira fell for the role because she'd only seen the first half of the script, Daxter was expensive CGI, most of the movie was shot off the coast of the Forbidden Jungle and the Brink looks nothing like this. The movie was a flop, only turning in 2 million orbs for it's 8.5 million budget.

I really wished this game as well as Jak X Racing had come with the HD collection pack. Even though they were spin offs of the main series, they were both enjoyable games. Plus I never beat Lost Frontier. Would like to go back and play it.

The original 3 games (Precursor legacy, Jack 2, Jack 3) were the best games. I did like Daxter for psp (spoiler) it takes place during the two years daxter is looking for jack at the beging of Jack 2. That waas kinda cool finding out what took him so god damn long ^-^, other than that i stop playing the games when Jack X hit my PS2 ... not all series need a racing game. (Mario cart is an exception :D )

I feel like the Jak and Daxter series has already created a bunch of separate story lines that it would be hard to get out of now. Like in the first Jak and Daxter Samos mentioned that Gol and Mia could possibly come back, and in Jak X you find out at the end that Rayne is a bad character so you need to finish that up as well, and it didn't help that High impact games made it sound like in TLF they have to go over the brink to continue their adventure...

Actually this game is set shortly after Jak X (one major clue in the game is his lack of goatee in this game...oh and them being a couple after kissing in Jak X) As for his voice..it was so much better in the original trilogy. As for his voice being "worse than batman", maybe his what...2 years of torture might have contributed to that

The game on it's own is...passible, maybe even a good first game in an original cartoony platformer series had it not been Jak and Daxter. But compared to the others, this was a big let down (Like how Sonic 06 was a HUGE let down for Sonic fans) considering the quality, replayability and storytelling of the TPL-Jak X.
