  • Loosen your belts amigos. It's time to take an epic BBQ road trip around Austin. From old school to new school, Austin BBQ will make you drool (yep I just came up with that - ha). But seriously.... And with all the new additions, where should you start? Well, follow along.
    We kick things off in Lockhart with our friends from Best Western Hotels & Resorts and stop by Kreuz Market. It's then onto a Tex Mex mashup at Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ. We dine with the keepers of the new-school Q - LeRoy and Lewis. We find the small-town experience in the big city at Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew. Then finish up the day a GIANT beef rib in Taylor at Louie Mueller Barbecue. A better BBQ day in Texas's capital city doesn't exist.
    Remember - if you're going on a BBQ road trip across Texas, Best Western has over 180 hotels across the state. Start planning at bestwestern.com

    Austin feels like they are the best. It's hard to disagree when they post the BBQ lineup that they do. Valentina's is BOMB, and so is Leroy and Lewis!

      @@bletchdroshek5984 back before anyone outside of Texas knew who they were (pre-Food Network days), I'd take business associates from out of state to Louie Mueller. Walking in, it was always the same reaction, a sort of "Where in the hell did this guy take us?" expression on the out of towners' faces. Walking out I'd get comments like, "That was the best damned BBQ I've ever had!"

    Valentina's is definitely some of the BEST!!! Chet, did you know that Franklin actually said, that he doesn't really eat his own Q. He said that when he wants some he heads over to Valentina's. He loves him some brisket tacos. It must be those delicious tortillas de harina they make there. Love these best western videos!!!👍🏼

      I grew up in San Antonio but was long gone before valentina's opened. I left SA in 2003 and have only been back once since but I still have family there and the problem is they either come visit me in OKC or we meet halfway at Possum Kingdom lake
      I will make a special trip to Valentina's this year and try every single meat they have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I strongly feel that asking for favorites is not a good question. Everyone has a personal preference. There are great food youtubers who had their favorites and I tried them and I actually disagreed with their favorite picks. Ultimately you have to go out and buy the plane ticket, travel to the city and try the foods to decide ……unless if you intend to never visit then asking is fine.

    Hi, I noticed that you use a tag line, " Vaya con Dios amigos." This is actually grammatically wrong. You are mixing a singular verb with a plural noun. You can either change it to "Vaya con Dios amigo" (singular), or "Vayan con Dios Amigos" (plural). Don't mean to nit pick but to a Spanish speaking person it is cringe worthy.

    • @TheDaytripper
      @TheDaytripper  2 роки тому

      You are 100% correct from a grammatical standpoint. But not from a colloquial phrase standpoint. That's a very particular saying.
