The only quibble I have is putting chili con carne over enchiladas. Yes, it can be done, but there are some fine green and red sauces specially made for that purpose. Food looks really good. Since I'm in San Antonio, we have a lot of great mexican places too. Also around here enchildas aren't served with an egg, at least where I have been. The egg is authentic. In West Texas, and the American Southwest, they make stacked enchiladas. You take tortillas and dip them in sauce, and they sprinkle cheese and onions then lay another one on top and repeat. Then it is topped with a fried egg. Also people like barbacoa which is cooked beef cheek meat. You can buy individual tacos, or get a pound of it with tortillas, salas to feed the family. Also popular to drink with your barbacoa, is Big RedSoda, it's i guess like a red cream soda. Been around for years. Even the Big Red Zero(no sugar) tastes awfully like candy. Years ago it wasn't so sweet.Seems like they ramped up the sugar. Also, Mexican coke is around here in glass bottles like in the show. However I don't think Sonny knows the difference between regular and Mexican Coke. Mexican coke is made with cane sugar ,not corn syrup, difference in the taste, you can tell if you are a real Coke fan.

💥Yes that's a question that I want answered because I get so many different answers from different nationality of people. The question: is texmex the same as Mexican American food? I went to my friend's grandmother's house she made enchiladas I asked where's the cheese I was schooled right there. real enchiladas don't have cheese🤷🏾‍♀️she said. Authentic Mexican food is my most favorite food in the world but maybe not after this video #Schooled!
So all this time I've been loving Mexican-American? Lol smh I feel like a failure not knowing what I was talkn about😅my while life whn ot comes to this.

@@johnmontgomery3471 mexican food is a variation of white european spanish food. so if you take the 75% eueopean end of mexican food, then add another 20% european american twist to it, can you really even call it anything other than european food? Take a taco for instance. If you dont want a grits type consistency to the corn meal, you need a stone mill. You also need lard and salt for the tortillas. "authentic" tacos are usually served with onions and cilantro. Well, the mills, cilantro, salt, onions, pigs(lard), cattle(cheese, milk, butter, sour cream), chickens, horses and even rice came from white european spanish. and thats not all; about 95+% of "their culture", is european(from spain). everything from their music/instruments, language, architecture, fashion, religion(the main one, catholic), bullfighting, food ingredients and more are all due to europeans. Even churros are from spain(and they brought cinnamon and sugar to mexico as well). The spanish didnt influence tradition "mexican" cuisine. The local peppers and corn influenced spanish cuisine in that region. peace.
