Some people were saying after the update that they lost over all distance and the video to the phone was lagging. Have you noticed a difference in distance and lag by chance??
You know why this is probably the best drone channel on YT? Because you keep updating us on firmware changes and expanding capabilities, not to mention the battery advice was worth the sub alone. I never see that kind of info on other channels.

Couple of questions: i love the fact that you can go back and fly the exact pattern over and over. How do i access the task menu so that i can do that? And when you were in active track, were you in that side ways lock out that you mentioned?
Hey bud. I fly the mavic 2 zoom, mavic mini, and skydio 2 as my regular drones. However, with all my equipment and 1000's of dollars in extras I have never shot a hyperlapse like you did!!! It was gorgeous my friend!! Really really well done. You should be rediculas proud of that little piece of footage. I am a truck driver so I am able to shoot all over the US and I still don't have a single shot like what you did that im that proud of. Congratulations on that. I know you are going to really sore in this game.
@@Beernwine I'd guess & say you've a incompatibility issue with your phone or tablet... if you go to the DJI website & look under the specs of the drone it'll tell you whats good to use.. worse news, if you've not heard as yet theirs another update for the air2, not sure about mini.. android is all ok to download however IOS "Apple" seems to be lagging behind as I'm still awaiting for this update & the newer update to become available (not sure if USA & remaining world is ok, but europe & uk seem to be lagging behind for some reason
Bro you are so thorough when explaining this update. This is the reason I subbed to your channel. Very good job man. Im impressed with this drone. I was going to choose this drone about a month ago but went with the Autel Evo 2 instead. Im Very impressed with the Autel Evo 2. I wanted the mavic air 2 but I wanted a slightly bigger and heavier drone that wouldn't get knocked around in high winds. The Evo 2 can sustain in winds up to over 50 mph and my feer is to run into a strong wind one day and lose it. How doesn't fair in high winds? Also, I love the Evo 2 that you can carry a payload as well, you can attach another camera on top of it like a go pro and you can live stream from Evo 2 even though I haven't done that yet. The 8k camera is very quality and it does 8× zoom without hardly any loss to picture quality. It is interesting that you can zoom and track the vehicle further away with zoom on the air 2. Make me want to try that with the evo 2. If I were to buy another drone, it would be the air 2 and I would just drop a stack and get the fly more combo. Again, great video and you deserve more subs
Thanks Timothy, Evo2 is definitely better suited for high winds because it's more robust. This mavic does a fairly good job as well, the most I've ever flown it in is 42 mph and it handled it but not without a fight. You definitely get more flexibility with the 8K on Evo2 as well. zero problem. I upgraded from Mavic Mini to Mavic Air 2 partially because I kept getting stron wind warnings all the time. I live and fly around the beach in Fort Lauderdale where winds are quite strong very often. I am so far very impressed wind the MA2 performance. Zero wind warnings in about 20 hours of flying this thing . Very, very solid drone.

I told him he would be very impressed with the mavic air 2 and sure enough he was. I told him this based on many reviews I have watched about the air 2 and also the latest firmware update with all the new goodies. The ma2 is an awesome drone for newbiews to everyday pros that want to shoot in 4k60 and have quality camera controls. Awesome drone for sure and im glad the wind doesn't have to much affect on it. Its actually not that little either which helps its stability. The more satellites the better as well when in wind and holding a gps lock. Happy flying brother, be safe

I understand that you enjoy doing tutorials like this and I have appreciated many. I think where you need to be careful are situations where you lock on to a vehicle or person to follow, especially when you zoom. The FAA may see this as intruding or spying, etc.
Please Don't stress and worry about flying and filming too much, otherwise this hobby might not be fun anymore. As long as your intentions are pure and you're not being intrusive & nosy, you will be ok 🙂 Happy Flying 😎

Excellent. Can you demo how good is active track on tracking a person running at low altitude? Say at 30feet? I am on the fence considering buying this model to replace my Mavic Pro (1st version) because active track on mine is terrible.
In FPV Mode and since you “Have to” use both sticks. Will CSC take effect when you get to those combination? Not sure how that’s considered “Optimized” CSC = Stop motor during flight
X I didn't see it in your video but if you hold and drag the zoom icon it will zoom in or out smoothly instead of jumping. Didn't know if you caught that or not. Always enjoy your videos keep it up.

Does the emergency brake still work in FPV mode? It looks cool and who doesn't love that falcon dive like the previous drones did... is it going to catch people off guard when having fun and stop the props on purpose accidentally? Just a thought idk
The emergency brake only works when there's a problem with the drone, unless someone changes the settings to always work regardless of emergency or not. Then they would drop out of the sky :( Happy Flying 😃

Love your enthusiasm and very informative videos. Very nice work. A word of caution for the yaw and speed adjustments. They are great for cinematic footage but you need to practice landings. I was recently flying from the shore of a lake and set my landing pad close to the water’s edge. My Magic Air 2 didn’t zero in on the pad during RTH so I took manual control to land it. I wasn’t prepared for the slow response because of the cinematic settings. I overshot the pad an nearly landed in the water. I suggest that DJI should disable the cinematic settings while in the process of landing. Meanwhile, I strongly recommend you practice manual control while landing with the cinematic settings!!
I just tested mine and I noticed when I turn off sideways movement, it still flies sideways while it active tracks me if the subject makes a very sharp turn. So what good is this if it still flies sideways in active track when I have no sensors on the side? This does not help me.

I'm thinking buy the time this drone has had all updates & becomes workable with Litchi, I would end up chasing a $1,000 plus phone, to comfortably fly an $800 drone without stressing the phone completely out? I have the Mavic Mini now, but want a little more options (OccuSync, Litchi Compatible for Missions, Range, Exponential yaw settings for smoother panning, etc. What do you think about the Mavic Pro Platinum? Hi Steven, I fly my Mavic air 2 on a old Pixel xl Android phone and it works good, you don't necessarily need a new phone, you just need a phone that takes updates. However when it comes to Litchi & exponential yaw settings, Mavic Pro platinum is a solid choice this. If you can afford Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom, both have exponential yaw settings, as well as waypoints feature built into the drone and they have ocusync 2.0 as well. Either which way you can't go wrong. I flew the Mavic Pro Platinum last week and it still flys like a boss! Happy Flying 😃
I saw you got an alert on your phone saying the phone itself was getting warm and some features would be limited. Do you ever get a similar message when flying the Mavic Mini? It happens every once in a while and I haven’t found any useful info about this on DJI forums

Why do you have to disable sideway flight when turning on bypass and can you have both of them on at the same time. Really good content. I've only had my Mini for 6 months but I'm going Air 2. This upgrade is a game changer.
I updated the app last weekend and yesterday I did the firmware last night....love it!!

The emergency brake only works when there's a problem with the drone, unless someone changes the settings to always work regardless of emergency or not.

I fly my Mavic air 2 on a old Pixel xl Android phone and it works good, you don't necessarily need a new phone, you just need a phone that takes updates.
However when it comes to Litchi & exponential yaw settings, Mavic Pro platinum is a solid choice this.
If you can afford Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom, both have exponential yaw settings, as well as waypoints feature built into the drone and they have ocusync 2.0 as well.
Either which way you can't go wrong.
I flew the Mavic Pro Platinum last week and it still flys like a boss!

I saw you got an alert on your phone saying the phone itself was getting warm and some features would be limited. Do you ever get a similar message when flying the Mavic Mini? It happens every once in a while and I haven’t found any useful info about this on DJI forums

I have no zoom features at all on my new Air 2. did they remove those features and keep them for higher end drones? I want those zoom settings !
Hey I really enjoy your videos you know how to break things down so that the average Joe could understand what's going on but this last video got me a little confused. Why do you have to disable sideway flight when turning on bypass and can you have both of them on at the same time. I use to use the Zoom function on my Mavic Air2 but I dont even see the zoom function in my video function any more. Did DJI removed? and how do you get the zoom function back?

Ryszard Pozarycki video can't, cause shutter speed can't get as low.. But hyperlapse can because you can lower your shutter speed
