when I was first starting out, fresh out of school, the shop owner taught me to break down fades and tapers into 3rds just like this. never fails.
it's now how I teach people as well.

It’s crazy because when I started cutting last year I used to make one line get rid of it then make another and get rid of it, probably 3-4 months into barbering I would make all the guidelines and fade them, now a year into this craft I fade down so when I watch people make guidelines I find it weird😭

If your doing like a low fade can you still use the same technique even tho you don't have space for all 3 fingers

If you don’t feel you have that much space it just lets you know to tighten up the guidelines

Do u take the guidelines all around the head and then take them out the same way or do u finish the fade on half the head and do it the same on the other side ?
