Woman Keeps Getting Mystery Packages She Never Ordered

- At first, Isabel Wood thought getting free stuff delivered to her home was fun. However, the 27-year-old says she has hundreds of items that she never ordered piling up. The packages were all addressed to the same person and shipped from Temu. Isabel says she contacted Temu but the packages kept coming. People all over the U.S. are reporting that they are receiving packages that they didn't order. The U.S. Postal Service warns it could be part of a scam called brushing.
If Temu doesn’t care, get online and start selling all of it. 👍
Right 😂
So this. Like...duh? If they're addressing it to her and they won't take it back (I just started the video and I assume something is wrong trying to return it if she's just keeping it all?), make bank.
It's garbage
Have a yard sale. Flip that 💩. 😂

I think you need to have the right person, living outside the country you live in, randomly pick your home address on Google Maps or another online map service. I believe they were randomly chosen because of a tutorial I read online many years ago for getting a fake billing address for some online service.

Happened to me in 2018. I got hundreds of packages from Amazon. On some of the items I read the 5 star reviews, then clicked on the reviewers to see their other reviews. Reading multiple reviews from supposedly one buyer, I could tell instantly that each review was written by a different person. All of the items I got were made in China.... Temu said contact customer service? They already said she contacted them and the packages kept coming. 😂😂😂
Customer service don't care to be bothered either. I got my package and 2 of my items in the package were not the right color. This is likely a chinese seller who is using the woman's US address for returns as a way to dump the items domestically rather than have to pay for return shipping. It is cheap to ship items from china to the US, but shipping from the US to China can get costly.

@@ThePeterDislikeShow its stupid how that works right. If you gift someone over 10k you have to pay taxes and not the receiver.
At first, I was like BE CAREFUL. If it turned out it was a mistake they can charge her for it, but here that is not the case. They meant to. I'd start selling on Ebay.
This is called an “unsolicited good.” When you're sent an unsolicited good, you're within your rights to keep them. You have no obligation to send the item back or pay for it
I don't understand why you tell the news outlets something like this. When opportunity knocks, open the door quietly. 😂 I'd be on the news asking Romeo to order a Jacuzzi and some caviar, something not from Temu please 😉

Why would you even tell anyone this? If this happened to me, I'd have an easy way to make money. I might not even open em. Just mystery package 5 bucks
It’s not a real
RIGHT
😅😅
This actually happened to me. I have a relatively obscure name, and was getting packages in my name. It turns out somebody also had the same name in my apartment complex, and lived in an apartment with a similar apartment number. At first I thought somebody stole my identity because I was getting all these packages with my name on them, but it was actually someone else's packages. Packages. I didn't realize it until about a year later when I met the person who shares my name.
A neighbor with almost the exact same address kept getting my packages and keeping them. Finally, they stopped being a jerk to me acting like they could keep my stuff. However, this seems like a different issue. The way the issue stopped with my neighbor is it seems like his girlfriend really went after him after seeing his entitlement to keep my stuff just because it wrongly got delivered there. I could have called the cops, but she fixed it way better than they could. It seems he matured real fast after she left him over this red flag issue he had. He still is often drunk (doing dumb stuff) and she dodged a bullet, but we get along now (even though he stole from me) and I pray he truly gets better and I have forgiven and helped him. It’s actually really sad, I am not a pushover or ignorant of what he did in the past, but I give him a lot of mercy, and see the baby steps he is taking to not harm others due to his addiction even if he is still harming himself. God help him get into AA or Celebrate Recovery.
WOW! My parents' house has also been getting random items but just furniture... from an unknown sender that has the name "Yura Trade" on the packages. So far, they've gotten a mattress, multiple sofa chairs, recliners, and love seats. My mom just assembled them and kept them in the house. Lol
Thats hilarious😂

All Temu needs to do is block her address and see who has been using it for brushing. But customer service reps at many companies these days can't do anything beyond their scripts.
I've seen merchants just slap a random address on a box and ship a item because that was cheaper than destroying the product or returning it to the main warehouse.
IE why pay $15 in shipping to China when the item is only worth $5 etc.
I personally like to see someone who gives me gifts

She needs to start a business selling everything!! 😂😂
I don't have this issue I have an issue for lazy delivery people.
I get random stuff from the Post Office, Door dash, and whoever else is lazy and just delivers the package to my door.
Lately it's been more and more with Amazon drivers. Good thing Temu hasn't been delivering in my area.
Since whoever designed the address and street maps in my area was on drugs drivers give up and just seem to choose my place to dump packages.
I understand this person's pain. I have had furniture delivered here as well. Which is crazy because I have called and left it outside but it sits there for months. When I cannot keep it I just tell neighbors about my situation and magically they disappear
Wow so interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Why is she complaining, sell it or donate it

Never heard of "brushing" before. Interesting. She definitely acquired some cool stuff thru it all.
They could "brush me" ANYTIME!!
How’s she just opening it when it isn’t even her name on it? wtf
isn't that illegal
No, its not illegal for her to open it. She notified the company, and they keep sending it anyway.
Is she supposed to rent a storage unit and keep it safe until Romeo shows up?
I mean if 100 packages show up you bet I open it up
@NanaWilson-px9ij technically it is illegal. The right thing to do is the mail carrier to notify them and stop the packages. So technically it is theft. It's therefore considered theft by fraud
@@NanaWilson-px9ij🤣🤣🤣
Imagine complaining about receiving free things every day.
Donate whatever you don't want to a Salvation army, then keep or sell the good stuff
True. But after a certain point it becomes a hoarding situation that requires regular time and effort to maintain.
She has hundreds of things in this short clip. She might be getting dozens of items every day. That takes several hours each week to sort out and most is hard to re sell or donate. It's also a security risk as having dozens of deliveries outside your door could invite thieves or the tax man
It’s not just about the stuff it’s her personal information. We don’t know if her information is being used for worse things. I would be concerned as well.
She wasn't complaining. It's a concern. She said it was getting overwhelming. She is humble. Unlike you.

She is such a brave soul, going through this sounds terrible😅
Makes me wonder if she’s unknowingly involved in a romance scam or a scam involving a money mule, but they’re getting the wrong address.
its a known business, people use stolen credit cards to buy items online, they ship to a certain address, and then someone like this resells it ect. look up carder profit
No someone get paid to review those items and leave a 5 star review. They’re just shipping to a random address and faking the reviews, they probably live in a different country
Why is she complaining it’s free stuff. Once it’s on her property it’s hers. She can just list all that stuff for cheap and make money
It's probably just getting too much items for her. You can't always sell everything off in one day.
Probably because someone could be posing as her to make fake five star reviews about their own company when she never gave them five stars? and them taking her information? You ever think of that?
Who would ever complain?!!!! Just keep everything and go buy a lottery ticket 😂😂😂😂
Wish I could be so lucky I could get all my Christmas shopping done lol

It's just junk, I'm not sure if it's even sellable in terms of any money you would get, but cool if you use the stuff
Call their customer service line? Surely you jest. You know how much fun it is speaking to these people overseas.
This has happened to me!! But then it stopped. I got clothes, press on nails, make up bag, candy, some weird fat burn cream. It was my full name and my address but not my stuff. It was sooo confusing n actually caused an argument between husband and I 😂🤦🏻♀️
So, since our federal govt subsidizes shipping for these companies, it is CHEAPER for them to ship their unwanted items to someone than to dispose of it.
that's literally not the reason, it's so the people selling these items can write reviews under their name because they were shipped to a real address
I would be doing garage sales every weekend and laundering this for all it’s worth.
And not going to the media about it
Internal Revenue Service 🤔
I would never talk about this. Shes so lucky
I would sell it all online as fast as it comes in
That is extremely frustrating. If she is ever in can she not refuse receipt of the package? Especially if it's not her name on the address?
If this happened to me I'd have zero time & space to deal with it. It's awful she has to waste her time dealing with this. Shes lucky her dad is helping her out.
If it comes through the USPS, you can refuse any mail item, as long as you don't open it.
You must write "refused" on each piece, close to the address.
Easy disposition: start a "mystery box" online storefront. No need even to open the packages (unless you're very curious, and have time). Have a weekly or monthly bid on a compilation mystery box (e.g., pack as many packages as it takes to compile a 5-kilo box), and let the highest bidder have the fun/joy/disappointment -- as well as the responsibility for recycling the cartons. Everybody wins!
Dealing with what? Throw it out, or keep it if you want it. What's so frustrating about it? You must not have real issues to deal with.
@@jAWNthejAWNit's always baffling to me why people feel the need to be so rude to others. Why the personal dig at my expense? You know nothing about me or my life.
