My mom got into this situation years ago when she lived in an apartment, but since she didn’t have a roommate a homeless guy that liked chilling near her apartment ended up picking the lock on her door to let her in. Not long after, she moved.

Fun fact- apparently, its quite common for women to give near addresses to their house to Uber drivers, so they won't have the exact address (in case you get a skeezy driver). And frankly, the driver probably wouldn't have cared even if that wasn't a common thing...

7:34 Well, I can only sleep for 17+ hours after an all-nighter, which I did pull sometimes (my school in Germany had a once-a-year activity called "Lange Nacht der Mathematik", where you go to school on friday evening and solve fun maths puzzles all night). And then my sense of time was ruined for a few days.

This story reminds me of when I got locked out of my own house as well and I was looking at every little possible way I might be able to get in. Thankfully the kitchen window, which is on the bottoms floor, was slightly open but it had that stupid lock that stops it from actually opening fully.
So I proceeded to scour every single nook and cranny for anything that could come of use. Eventually found a steel wire behind the toolbox which had just the right form I needed to be able to unlock the mechanism that stopped it from opening and eventually climbed inside.
And all that time I was hoping I wouldn't get spotted by any neighbours since I felt like I was looking pretty sketchy the entire time. xD

It's actually not that hard just a lot of fine movement.
For most standart locks even the good old plastic card is enough if it's not specifically locked, like the door just closed and no handle outside.

Your stories are really relatable a lot. Today I was in PE class and they went into the gym. They used the bicycle, but I had no idea so I just tried to start it awkwardly while everyone else was cycling super fast. Then after, I went to get some water which was in my locker room, but then when I came back, I realised the gym door NEEDED A CARD. So there I was stupidly fumbling on the door handle which wouldn’t open, and I stood there for a good 10 minutes. I tapped the glass, but not too hard, because that would’ve caused a massive sound. I waited until finally the teacher realised and opened it. At least no one else in the class saw, but it was horrifying being locked out.

Honestly, in my perspective, It would have just been less emotionally exhausting and less socially painful to just say no and go to your house, than spend however long you would have to wait for him to leave on someone else's front porch trying not to be seen and look like a robber, then sneak to your house, all in nervous exhausted anxiety mode only to figure out you can't get into your house. Being and introvert and having social anxiety is exausting. That's just me though. I have to calculate all of my moves to try and save as much social and peopleing battery as I can.
