so happy to have another video with you both ! My sister is being followed by Dr. Mathis, and i met with him once. A lovely caring man !!!
Hi gorgeous, I am so happy to hear your sister met with Dr Bob!
xo
What an amazing, educated and caring Dr. It seems so many other Dr.s just don't want to deal with this important issue and shrug it off to, "that's life"! When infact you don't have to suffer at all. Thankyou Claudia for having the Dr. on again. ❤
Hi Lynn, I’m glad you enjoyed this. Thank you so much for your kind comment. You’re right, we do not have to suffer, and thank God they are doctors like Dr Mathis.

Oh my goodness, it's so obvious that Dr Bob really knows what he's talking about! I've been through about 6 practitioners, a few of which are doing the opposite of what he suggests. No wonder I'm not feeling any better- I see a phone call in my future!
Thank you so much for sharing, Claudia- you are a gift to women everywhere!!

I really liked that you did another video with Dr Bob again Claudia. I actually need help not and have been looking for either a Functional Dr or a GYN that can help me once I head into perimeno and menopause. I went to a new GYN last month and asked her if she could write me a script for a hormone panel and she told me it was not necessary to do that now bc I'm not in perimeno. I was so frustrated. I'm going to send you an email with a few questions. He's so knowledgeable. I get confused with all the information but it's so interesting at the same time

Hi Claudia … there he said it ESTRADIOL NOT BIEST! Most doctors are giving biest. Only 20% estradiol and 80 estriol. I did fine with this for my entire time on BHRT but last year it stopped working. Great podcast, just found your channel, so many great topics. I am of a similar age to you, I've managed so far not needing HRT but the last 6 months its been clear its time to look into BHRT. I had a consult 8 years ago, but the doctor I met didnt give me great confidence and I didnt have any major symptoms. Dr Mathis has a great attitude and very knowledgeable. I am based on London, UK. If anyone can recommend a Dr. in the UK who supports the Wiley protocol that would be greatly appreciated. This method makes total sense to me. Looking forward to watching his previous videos.
Hi, i am really happy you are here. Unfortunately I do not know anyone in the UK practicing Wiley, but you could double check on their website, maybe some new physicians have started. I do know of 2 physicians in Belgium that prescribe Wiley and one of my friends from Germany actually made the trip to see one of them and found it very worthwhile. There is also another method, similar to Wiley (and I can not for the life of me remember the name of it right now), but you might be able to find a physician in the UK who works with that.
I look forward to connecting with with you more under future videos, but please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
I'm in southeastern Europe and we've had bioidentical HRT for years. The problem we have as like everywhere lose: to find a doctor who knows how to use them.
Such a well informed video you are so lucky to have found Dr Bob. I live in Canada do you know if he treats women outside the U S. ??
In Australia we have HRT pharmaceutical Bio Identical and Compounding pharmacy Bio Identical, but most Doctors prefer and push Bio Identical Pharmecutical more because they are proven to protect you from the 3 big Diseases Alzhiemers , Osteoporosis, and heart Disease , where as Compounding are not proven to protect and they are inconsistent with making them .
Thank you for another video of you both ❤ he’s so right Mother Nature didn’t have a plan love this info you should do a live some weekend evening that would be fun ❤❤❤❤

Great video. I’m in my 3rd year of menopause and doing estradiol cream and EstroVen natural supplements plus I drink Maca to help with night sweats. It all helps. I may do more in the future. Happy to watch another video with Dr. Mathis. I was going nuts with hot flashes and after I watched your last video I called Dr. Mathis and he prescribed the Wiley protocol. Thank you for introducing him to the UA-cam world. Question, are you on the Wiley protocol as well? It states on the paper work to not eat flaxseeds if you use the creams. Being vegan I was eating flax a lot, was wondering if you stopped eating flax on the protocol?
Hi, I am so glad to hear you reached out to Dr Mathis and got help. Yes, I am on the Wiley as well. And you are right, being vegan (I am happy to hear you are vegan as well) we eat a lot of flax, soy...
I have been on Wiley for 15 years, and at first I drove myself nuts over what not to eat. But years into it I stopped worrying and now I eat a ton of soy, flax... I think the whole idea came from not wanting other estrogen like foods to attach to the receptors and blocking them. But then one would not be able to eat meat either, which of course contains hormones as well.
I would say if you find that somehow you are not responding to Wiley, than your dietary intake of flax, soy.. might be something you could look at. But if you are responding well, I would continue to enjoy flax :)

Hi Claudia I watched a few of your interviews with Dr Mathis last year when I was first concerned about my CONSTANT fatigue. actually your videos on this subject was what first got me watching you quite a long time ago. I believe there’s something going on with my hormones or thyroid because I used to have so much ENERGY and sex drive and now BOTH Are negative a million. I started HRT with an online company called Winona, almost a year ago but I don’t feel like it’s doing much. Still, overwhelming fatigue and a feeling of just apathy. I used to be so intense!
I’m in Los Angeles so I should give Dr Mathis a call.
Question, Do you get your estradiol topically? That seems the route Dr Mathis takes with his program.
Thank you Claudia ❤
Hi Melissa, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling good.
Usually when estrogen is low for a while, thyroid and adrenals will also be affected, so it is important to treat all.
I would suggest testing your estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and free T3 via blood and if possible a cortisol saliva test.
You could do this before talking to Dr Mathis or talk to him first and see what he thinks.
Yes, my estrogen as well as progesterone and testosterone are applied topically.
Please keep me posted and let me know if I can help with anything. Most importantly, to do not give up hope. Once you figured out what is low and what needs to be replaced or balanced, you will feel good again
xx
If I may add, I have also been suffering with fatigue and apathy...I used to be full of vitality. I am.on thyroid medication after my thyroid tested as low. I am also on hormones. I would advise getting a range of blood tests, also test your vit D3 and iron. But please work with a doctor, you don't have to feel so fatigued. I am getting things right in myself and fighting to feel better. X
Wow, great video, i will definitely be giving him a call

Great video, thank you for arranging this for your viewers. What dose does the doctor generally recommend in the estradiol patch…0.05? And is the progesterone taken by patch as well?
Hi, thank you for being here and or your kind words. I think the recommendation depends on the woman. Progesterone is usually transdermal cream or pills. If you need any help, please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr Mathis, his info is in the description box.

Im 42 missed one period felt horrible I got an FSH level of 79. Doc prescribed me estrodial .05mg and prometrium 200mg cyclic dose. I havent started it because my period came back and I feel normal again. I can totally see how a drop in estrogen can cause dementia because even the brain fog I have at an early age would wreak havoc when I'm older.
Hello beautiful Claudia! First of all, I can't be any happier for menopause information you share. I truly learn a lot. I've been experimenting the HRT and I want to say I'm not quite sure if I'm at where I suppose to be or not. I saw you earlier interview with Dr. Bob many months ago, but I was assuming that his way of treating HRT is probably out of my financially reach. Are you comfortable to share how much money you spend on your HRT per month? Thanks so much
Hi, thank you for your lovely comment. Unfortunately the HRT I use is not cheap and I spent about $150 on it per months. But, there are much cheaper options available. The most important thing is that what you are using is working for you. You will know if it does by the way you feel and by the occasional blood test
x
From my understanding, estrogen is what stops osteoclasts from breaking down bone too much or too fast, thereby balancing with osteoblasts (which makes bone cells). That is why when we hit menopause and lose estrogen, our body's ability to control the osteoclasts reduces and we thereby suffer from osteoporosis. So I do not understand why Dr Bob says @33:28 that estrogen breaks down the bone? And then during pregnancy progesterone causes the build up of bone and estrogen causes the break down of bone? This is all contradictory to what I have been learning so far. Can I get some clarification? I am not trying to be negative but really not happy with so many conflicting ideas about things. I really want the real truth. Thanks. 💗
I know it can be very frustrating to hear different info. Both, estrogen and progesterone stimulate osteoblasts. I think what Dr Bob meant to say is that both hormones work synergistically and that estrogen plays an important role in bone turnover in adult bone .
So breaking down bone might not have been the best term to use, since Dr Bob obviously agrees that estrogen is critical for bone density, but more helping to turn it over.
I look at it like weight lifting. When we lift weights, we "break down" the muscle. That does not mean we are making the muscle weaker, but the opposite, through breaking it down and the following repair, the muscle gets stronger.
I hope this makes sense
x
@@claudiaglows Thank you Claudia. :) I am not sure how estrogen help bone cell turnover, as I thought they inhibit (lack of a better word) the osteoclasts from breaking down bone too fast. I got my information from these two sources if you would like to know :)

Dr bob is very nice. I reached out to him and had a wonderful phone conversation several months ago. I’ve been on BHRT for 5 months now after my complete hysterectomy that put me into surgical menopause overnight. I have not had a single hot flash or any other symptom of low estrogen thanks to starting BHRT immediately after surgery. Dr bob practices the Wiley protocol for HRT replacement which mimics a women’s natural cycle. This did not appeal to me since I had a hysterectomy I wanted a consistent steady dose of hormones so I did not use him as my BHRT provider. The Wiley uses lots of creams which are messy and many women don’t absorb well. Although he is a nice man he practices a specific type of HRT which may not be for everyone
Glad to hear you found an HRT that works well for you! Thank you for sharing your experience and for being here
x
I just called him and I told him I don’t want a period and he put me in a static (constant) protocol and prescribed me estridiol patches and progesterone pills, so maybe he has changed things up since you talked to him.

I love this video and all the information! Thank you Claudia! What I don’t understand is how to cycle the hormones. I have prometrium at night and use an estradiol patch. How does cycling work with hrt?
I am glad you enjoyed this! So for cycling you usually use transdermal creams, which go up and down in dose depending on the months. It’s not really something you could do either a patch.you could however true the progesterone for only 14 days of the months, but it is still not quite cycling, since the doses don’t change. I hope this makes senses…

Hello dear claudia
Hi Bilal ❤️
Hi, Claudia,
Thank you for this video to invite Dr. Bob for HRT therapy. I have had a hysterectomy last year. My doctor is really messing up my HRT and does not know what he is doing. I am crashed.
Dr. Mathis sounds very knowledgable and skilled. How can I find his pricing of taking over my HRT, etc.? Thank you for the help.
Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well! Dr Mathis has a website which I listed below. I am not sure it lists his pricing, but I know he is VERY affordable. A friend of mine just had a 2 1/2 hour consult with him and it ran around $200.
As far as the hormones, that depends on what will be best for you , what pharmacy you get it from and how much your insurance will pay.
I hope this helps. If not, or if I can help with something else, please never hesitate to reach out

Hi, Claudia,
Thank you for the encouraging information. I appreciate. I don’t quite understand about the estrogen. I am given the estrogen patches, .05mg. It seems the higher dose I use, the more it triggers inflammation. I have to dose down to 0.0375mg. I am crashed. Could that be just I can’t tolerate the estrogen? OR one is too high, it causes all are out of balance. (I have progesterone and testosterone as well.) I don’t like when the estrogen is low. It is a vital hormone.
I am watching Dr. Mathis’ every single video. Thank you for what you do.❤️
There could be a few different reasons. Estrogen is amazing, but if other hormones, such as thyroid or adrenals are off, or even progesterone and testosterone (I know you say you use both, but they could still be inbalanced), than estrogen can only do so much
And so many things can cause inflammation. Have you taken a look at the foods you eat to see if some of them could cause inflammation?
Estrogen itself is actually anti inflammatory, so it should theoretically help.
We also do not know how much of the patch you are actually absorbing and how high your levels of estrogen are, So it would be a good thing to test all of your hormones to get an idea of what is going on and go from there

Hi Claudia, this Video is very helpful. I am based in Europe and looking to start hormones and I’ve decided on the Wiley protocol based on your video. I’ve just had a wonderful session with Dr Mathis. I am trying to find a practitioner in Belgium but there are several do you have any specific recommendations. This is a very big step , I’m a crunchy natural person, age 55, feel healthy , have never been on any medications, had no symptoms thru my menopause but now starting to have joint pain and feeling muscle loss and lower energy . You video convinced me to start hormone treatment. Do you have any specific recommendations for Doctors in Belgium. There aren’t any providers of the Wiley protocol in the U.K. ?
Hi, I am so happy to hear that you had a good session with Dr Mathis. Like you I am a very natural person and do not even take advil for a headache. But I do think sometimes we need to help our bodies out a bit and in my opinion the Wiley fits in beautifully as it respects our natural rhythm.
I know there are two doctors in Belgium who prescribe Wiley. I have not been to either, but have heard good things about both. I do know that one of them is much more affordable, but I am not certain which one. I would suggest to call both and see if you can talk to the doctor directly, or at least to someone in the office that can give you a feel for which one is a better fit and what they charge.
Once you have your prescription, you could always continue to work with Dr Mathis if that was your preference.
I do not think there are Wiley providers in the UK, but hopefully one of the two in Belgium will be a good fit for you. Please keep me posted and do not hesitate to reach out if I can help with anything. My email is ClaudiaGlows3@gmail.com

Thank you for this interview. I am 65 and went thru menopause at 43. I have insomnia, put on 50 lbs., metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and EXTREME fatigue....etc... I have never been on HRT as my doctors said it is dangerous. I hope to find a doctor in Maryland that can possibly help me. Thank you Claudia!!!
Christina, I just read your previous comment and asked if you found someone to help you, but I see that unfortunately you have not. Definitely get a different doctor since the one telling you that hormones are dangerous obviously does not understand your suffering and the danger of the symptoms you have as a result of lack of hormones. How sure are you that estrogen can really cause cancer to any reproductive organ? So far from what I have been hearing, it seems like estrogen is greatly misunderstood.
@@Dandelion_flight it thickens the lining of the womb, its proved but its only a problem if you dont take progesterone. Hi Emily, I am glad to hear you found a great solution and thank you for sharing it, as it will be very helpful to those who also do not do well on progesterone
x
I agree with you, I do believe it is greatly misunderstood. But progesterone has other benefits, aside from being protective
I am very new to this HRT but I am just told that I am menopausal so it is a good time for me to learn. I wonder why Dr Bob says that @31:31 progesterone is the anti-growth and that death is programmed by progesterone, when during pregnancy, progesterone is what sustains it. And usually to check for ovulation/fertility, a day 21 blood test is done to check progesterone level which would confirm that ovulation has occurred. I learnt all this when I was going through fertility treatments to conceive many years ago. So I do not understand Dr Bob on this.
And he cited this paper @31:13 on progesterone effect on cancer cells promoting apoptosis, so somehow progesterone can be protective? So should estradiol and progesterone be used together for menopausal HRT? As I have heard some say progesterone should not be used for some reason which I cannot recall now.
Dr Bob is talking anti growth as far as "bad" cells or cancer cells, not cells needed to sustain a human being. So yes, progesterone can be protective and as he said, both estrogen and progesterone should be taken together, not just to be protective, but for bone health, breast health....
All memopause specialists I have heard are very clear in the need for progesterone while on Estrogen to protect your uterus from cancer.
@@christinekeenan1560 True. I have been learning this just this week. So yes if you have a uterus, progesterone must be used with estrogen. I have found that the Mirena is the best option as it confines the progesterone in the womb only.
I am so tired of getting conflicting information. I was told no progesterone by one doctor, my current doctor a gynecologist, didn't even want to put me on estradiol but I convinced her by crying and telling her all my symptoms. I know she will want to take me off them soon. Is there a doctor in the Rhode Island/Southeastern Massachusetts area who knows what they are doing regarding women and hormones?? I've been going back and forth with these doctors for 10 years.
Hi Deb, I know it can be so frustrating to get all this confusing info. Unfortunately doctors do not all feel the same about hormones and I think we have to figure out what makes sense to us and find the person who can help us with that.
I am not sure why your doctor says no progesterone?
And no doctor should deny you estradiol if if makes you feel better. It is your body, your decision. This doctor does not have to live with your symptoms.
As far as finding someone in your area, you could call your local compounding pharmacy and ask them which doctors prescribe bio identical hormones and then call them to find the best fit.
You can also call Dr Mathis and ask him for help

Hi Susan, you are very lucky to not have any symptoms. As far as if you still need HRT, it is such a personal decision and there are so many different opinions on this subject. IMO, it’s not Mother Nature. The problem arises bc women today work long hours (high stress lifestyle) combined with a highly toxic environment and food supply. The receptors are not getting clean molecules, so the signaling system breaks down. Ugh.

Hi Tamie, you would need to talk to your doctor about this or you can reach out to Dr Mathis. His info is below the video
From what i understand is that our adrenal gland are back up hormones for a womans ovaries.... A woman doesn't loose all her hormones after menopause, she just has less of them in the adrenal glands.... so i believe mother nature knows what shes doing... High levels of hormones aren't needed onse a woman isn't in her child bearing years.... hrt may be wonderful for those who need help in the transition years, but i believe at sompoint our bodies do ajust to surving with les hormones..
Hi Victoria, thank you for your comment, and for being here. I completely understand what you’re saying, however, I disagree. I think that our bodies have not caught up to us living longer, and we are trying to live half of our life without something, that we desperately need. Of course, everybody’s different, but I know, for myself, without hormones, which I am replacing through HRT, I would be miserable
Not every woman needs BHRT. If you have had a normal menstral cycle from the get go and not been exposed to a lot of estrogen disrupters (toxins, pesticides, lifestyle, etc.) and go through menopause without any hot flashes, you shouldn't need BHRT. However, if you have had irregular cycles, a lot of pain during menses, fibroids, exposures to toxins, hot flashes and mood swings during menopause, then BHRT can help solve your problem of unbalanced estrogen and provide balance (estradiol, estrone, estriol, progesterone testosterone). You have to get the dosage right (formulation) and only use the topical. There is no one size fits all.
Had a quick question? A year and a half ago my girlfriend told me when we first started doing what we were doing that she didn't think she needed birth control. She was still having a period but I noticed that it was irregular she also told me sometimes she was like sometimes she would skip. She has mood swings, insomnia, hot flashes, or night sweats as some called them. She came to me and said she wanted to buy a house with me, that was great! We had actually talked about me moving into her place and us just putting an addition onto her house to make it bigger and more space. She then came to stay with me in North Carolina for 3 weeks. Two weeks into it we're good. The third week I noticed a big change in her personality as I call it or the way she was acting or her mood? Anyways there towards you middle to the end of the third week She lashed out at me verbally as she has never done before. All I did was get a drinker for water which I have always done It never has been an issue She would even drink after me. She didn't come to me and told me that she guessed that she wasn't quite yet ready. I'm guessing this is because of menopause that I feel like she's in. She turned 52 just passed August That is when she was with me in North Carolina. She turned 52 on her birthday in North Carolina while with me. About a year and a half ago is when she was having a period and then for some time after that as well. She has also gotten up in the middle of the night 2:30 to 3:00 in the morning after I put my arm around her and went to the living room and I heard the recliner kick out. It was like 40° in her house. Really cold! I went into the living room to make sure she was covered up as I knew it was cold. She turned her head and looked at me and said, WHAT. The next morning she seemed fine. She did come to me and tell me that she was starting to have hot flashes and I assume that's why she got up in the middle of the night when I put my arm around her because she was hot. I would say about 6 to 8 months ago give and take. She also has bad migraines and all the other symptoms that I can think of that come along with menopause. When she was in North Carolina with me after telling me she wanted to buy a house with me she come to me and said that she thinks I should buy my own house. I thought to myself wait, what? We just talked about buying a house together and moving in together. To me I feel like it's got to do with menopause. She does have anxiety really bad but I'm just trying to get in educated opinion on this instead of me just playing the guessing game and what I'm reading about on the internet. At Christmas I took her a few gifts and I noticed that she was the same way The anxiety seem to be heightened She has told me when coming to her house that I needed to get a hotel room. She said that she just got scared she said she got to thinking about something I had told her about (confrontation with someone) before and got nervous. I don't have any idea what made her think about that, as I've never been any kind of way with her have had no reason to and never would. Anytime I went to go see her I've always stayed the night with her and it never has been an issue but it seems to be striking up as an issue now while she's in what I believe is menopause. Thank you in advance I do appreciate you for your help.
Again thank you and I'm just looking for someone who knows more than what I do's opinion to help me get through this or to at least help me know to what I'm thinking and reading is or could be a possibility of what's going on. She is 52 now since August 19th this past year.
Thank you I look forward to your response
Hi, I can completely understand how confusing and frustrating your girlfriends behaviour must be to you.
But, having had my hormones completely out of wack before, I can tell you that I acted quite similarly. Hormones play such a big part in our mood, and when they are low or imbalanced, it seems as if we are all over the place. It also seems as if we have no control over any of it, nor what comes out of our mouth.
I would suggest to see if your girlfriend is open to have her hormones tested, to see where her levels are. You might need a script or you could get a test on line. Dr Mathis, though in California, is also always willing to help. So you could just call him on your own and talk to him about all of this.
I am assuming at 52, she is going through Menopause, and hopefully either Dr Mathis or another doctor will be able to get her hormones balanced. Please let me know if I can help with anything.
In the meantime, I think it is good to remind yourself that this is not about you and that you are not doing anything wrong.

I do know and understand that it is not about me. As far as talking to her about the issue I don't think that is a good idea as she doesn't really talk about things that are personal it's almost like it is embarrassing for her. Christmas, when I took a couple of the things to her the next day I asked her to go to dinner with me. She agreed, well I just happen to be in the area of her house and was dropping off a few more gifts She then told me that she hoped That her telling me it was okay for me to bring the couple gifts didn't make me think that it was an invitation. I simply told her I did not take it as an invitation. She also said to me "Don't you know it's scary for two girls when someone shows up at someone's house" me coming over there never has been an issue before as a matter of fact she has told me in the past he had just come on over when you get ready! Anyways from the way she acted when I was over there it didn't seem like she really wanted me to reach out to her. She didn't tell me not to contact her! I just don't want to cause her any more anxiety as she says that I already have. A while back She sent me a message telling me not to text her not to call her, and not to come to her home! The next thing you know I'm coming to her home because she asked me to??? Yes it's a really confusing time so I'm just going off of what happened before when I let time go by and then she respect out to me and I'm feeling like that's what will happen this time if I give her space she will settle down and reach back out to me does that seem about right?
I am really sorry you are having to deal with this. I still feel bad for the way I treated my boyfriend when my hormones were imbalanced. Hopefully time and space will help. But ultimately she might need to take a look at her hormones

A much better question for myself I guess what I was wanting to know is if you believe that women in general are aware that the reasoning that they're lashing out or for their irritability and anxiety is because of their hormones being out of balance when they are? Basically do you think that the women are aware that it has something else to do was what might possibly be going on with them theirselves?
I am French, i am 44, i have severe perimenopausis symptoms ( intense fatigue palpitations, dizziness nauseas, headaches) and no doctors understands that
In France they don't prescribe hormonal replacement treatment before the age of 50! When i look at what they do in the UK or the uSA about hormones I feel like i were living in a underdevelopped country
There is no chance here for women of my age to get any treatment!
Bomjour Faustine, I am so sorry to hear you are not getting the help you need and deserve. I agree with you, living here in France as well I have noticed that in many ways it is very behind.

I thought he said at the start that estrodiol reversed osteoporosis in some studies---- but then at the end he is saying estrogen breaks down bone?
I think that was a bit confusing, but what he meant to say, is that both estrogen and progesterone work synergistically to build bone. Estrogen plays an important role in the regulation of bone turnover, so not break down, but turnover. I look at it like doing a work out, when we lift weights, we break our muscles down, that doesn’t mean we’re weakening them, the opposite happens, but actually make them stronger. It is a complex cycle in which both estrogen and progesterone are involved.

It is hard to say how many mg I take, since it is rhythmic and the dose changes depending on the time of the months. But you will need to take enough mg's to get your numbers into a good place.
Can you get a blood test and get the above mentioned tests? I think that would be a good start

@claudiaglows No worries! 😊 How much does Dr. Mathis charges for consultation to prescribe bhrt? Have you heard of Menopausal Barbie on UA-cam? She is an OBGYN who is passionate about helping women. I'm getting to know your channel and love that you're passionate about anti-aging. I'm definitely into it as well. We can exchange information and help. The latest technology to help neck & jowl is "facetight" much better Ultherapy and another is profound RF. These 2 are the latest to fight sagging skin. check into it. Again, I thank you for sharing info!! 🙏
@claudiaglows One more thing, I forgot to ask you. Does Dr Mathis not recommend DHEA? Currently I take 10mg of DHEA evey morning as I did blood test and I was low on DHEA. and does this make hair fall out?
So the only way to work with this Dr you have to go to California first for the first visit?
Hi, thank you for being here. I would say call Dr Mathis and talk to him

@@claudiaglows Quick question he said in the video the ratio of estrogen to progesterone should be 20:1? Is that correct? I'm not sure how to figure that out. My estradiol was 64 but FSH was 26.4. Do you know with that estrogen level what my progesterone should be with that ratio? Im working on getting my levels up.
@@gypsygarner2413 i recommemd you have a look at Menopause Taylor on you tube, she's bound to have a video on it. In fact i think she has... if it helps i have 2 pumps of estrogen gel and a mirena coil so maybe you could work out the progesterone dose from that? I'm no good with maths. I am in England. Also, there is an app called Balance, its run by a leading menopause specialist here, lots of international members, theres a forum and someone will know and answer you.
Hi, i am from singapore, just wondering how to access Dr Bob's services from overseas?
Hi Alicia, I would suggest calling Dr Mathis (his info is in the description box). Please let me know if I can help somehow

Just turned 70. Been on compounded HRT since August. Started having monthly bleeding in November. This last one was light enough that I didn't even need to wear a liner. My provider adjusted my formula Jan 4. Should I consider rhythmic method? Or maybe increase my progesterone? My provider has me applying the cream 1x/day to see if I'm getting too much estrogen. Maybe just give it more time?
Hi Nancy, it is hard to say how much estrogen you get without testing, it could be too much, which I doubt, or not enough progesterone. Can you get your levels tested? Giving it more time won’t tell us much, but getting the numbers would. If your doctor does not want to test, you can order the test yourself.
As far as rhythmic, knowing all the benefits, it is what I choose. You will however have a period on a rhythmic method

@@claudiaglows just had saliva testing b4 she changed my most recent formula. December 7 my estradiol was 2.1 pg/ml my progesterone was 658 pg/ml, my Pg/E2 ratio was optimal at 313. My testosterone was 28 pg/ml, DHEAS 2.3 ng/ml( low end) and cortisol on the higher end at 8.2 ng/ml. I looked at the doctors website, have to see him in person. I’m in Michigan, so that’s not doable for me. Sadly
Also, after the saliva test, she increased my Biest slightly and my progesterone. Also added DHEA.
@@nancyjane888 Hi Nancy, I am not sure saliva is the best way to test for sex hormones. It is great for cortisol, but estrogen and progesterone are best tested in blood. That being said, an estrogen level of 2.1. sounds very low. As Dr Mathis said, it needs to usually be at least 100 for a woman to feel good. But that is when tested in blood....
@@nancyjane888 I would say call Dr Mathis and see if he can help

Claudia, thanks for this video. I'm turning 67 and can't find a doctor anywhere that will help me with HRT. Is it too late to start HRT at 67?
I have been watching a number of videos and what is advised is to start HRT in the first 5 years from menopause. And that it is not a good idea to have gone through menopause for long time to suddenly jump onto the HRT bandwagon. But do your own research. I am also doing as I am just told that I am menopausal.
Hi Susan, I am sorry to hear you can not find a good doctor. As Dr Bob said, it is never too late to start with HRT, as long as you start slowly. Please do not hesitate to call Dr Bob, his info is in the description box.
There is also a woman named Gretchen Jones who does online consultations. I talked to her not too long ago and liked her, here is her website gretchenjones.brandyourself.com/
If I can help somehow, please do not hesitate to reach out

I think there are is so much confusion out there, but Dr Bob seems to think is is never too late as long as one starts slowly.

Hi Claudia. I can see a difference in your facial fullness. Is it sculptra?
Hi Yasmina, I just made a video on my sculptra update with before and afters. I think it did make a tiny difference. I am also still trying Adipeu, not sure if that is helping…

I startet HRT with 58 years I also took Progesterone suppository and I had severe bleeding…I also had sudden problems with my heart. Although I am sportive and exercise everyday I woke at night felling my heart. I stopped. What could I have done better? More Progesterone? Less Estrogen gel and slower? Now I am 60 and nobody wants to give me HRT😮
I am very sorry to hear, that your initial trial with HRT did not go to well. It is really hard to say what went wrong. Come up without having tested your levels back then. As I suggested under your other comment, I will try to find a local compounding pharmacy, and ask them what doctors prescribe five identical hormones. Hopefully that will be a good start for you. Please keep me posted, and let me know if I can help with anything

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 70 (last year) she is on hormonal therapy. Is that different then HRT?
Also what age one should start HRT?
Thank you for very informative video. X❤x
I am very sorry to hear about your mom! I would imagine that the put her on estrogen blockers, which is often done. So the opposite of HRT.
As far as age, that really depends on the individual. Sine go into menopause earlier than others.
I hope your mom is going to be ok!!

Hi, I'm from South Africa, and had breast cancer in 2015, no Doctor here will give me hormone replacements,
I am very sorry to hear that Dorothy. Can you find a different doctor?
In south Florida, there's clinics/aesthetics that offer HRT in every corner now.
How can I find in Germany a doctor that would start me off again?
I would say, call your local compounding pharmacy, and ask them for doctors who prescribe, bio, identical, hormones
What works best for someone with Osteoporosis? I was told BHRT pellets but they’re too expensive and they’re invasive which I don’t like. Any ideas?
Dr Mathis is not a fan of pellets, in fact I have a new video with him in which he talks about why. I think any form of HRT, as long as it works for you and gets your hormone levels up, will help. But weight lifting and diet are also very important
@@claudiaglowsoh thank you so much! I don’t know why I was told only pellets. It’s confusing because I never know who to trust or believe
@@rhondaurb I know, there is so much conflicting information out there. Personally I am on a transdermal replacement, using creams and have been on it for 15 years.

Range using what? Blood?
Hi Paige, thank you for being here. Yes, in a blood test.
I’m 46 and I don’t know if I am in menopause, my bleeding stopped but I use a intrauterine device and that’s probably is the reason.
My doc says it’s good for me despite ovarian cyst but I would prefer to withdraw it. I don’t have a partner and I don’t need it anymore. I can’t take blood tests of hormones because I don’t know which day of cycle I am now.
Are IUD useful in any way for pre menopausal women?
Hi Natalia
If you have an IUD containing progesterone, it can help some with diminishing progesterone. But of course estrogen also declines
If you just have a copper IUD it will not affect hormones
Hi I had an total hysterectomy because of fibroids and endometriosis but after the surgery my doctor said I still have some endometriosis soo I’m in hormones replacement but still not feeling well and she prescribed PREMPRO in a low dose because she don’t want me to get cancer of the endometriosis I still have it’s true this ?
I am not sure, you really need to talk to your doctor about this and hopefully the two of you can come up with a plan that works for you
