Was I expecting a 24 hours long video? Yes. Am I disappointed? No. Am I excited for the next video? Absolutely! Even more because I expect a 24 hours long video later to bing watch everything again 😂❤ The planning is amazing and the countdown had me on the edge of my chair! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷💙
"We somehow need to craft a wooden power pole on this treeless world, which is only possible because of the random piece of wood factorio guy is carrying in his pocket for some reason" That's exactly the reason why one piece of wood was added in the starting items set since 0.17.
In my own playthrough of Warptorio I made a similar experience: Biters do not always attack. I tested it and it's a kind of an exploit: If you're building your stuff far away enough (it's not THAT far, like ~6 chunks), no biter will register your buildings and they won't come. Unless you have any building on your platform, then even a wooden chest is enough to trigger them attacking it. However, this won't work if you get the loader upgrade or any pipe for downstairs. Then you have a valid attack target again and the biters will come. The stairs itself do not trigger them. I do not know if any of this is patched out, as I played Warptorio around a year ago.
You have such interesting creative takes on stuffs. The idea to just stay home and use the platform warps for evo-resets never even crossed my mind before. And 8 jumps total is really incredibly efficient. Although i do think that by doing it in this jump-efficient manner you lose out on some of the mods fun - like the random crazy planets. Still very much looking forward to the run! Your videos are very entertaining. Great content!
Thanks, I wanted to do something other than the usual playthrough which plenty of people have done. To compensate the planet type loss, I lowered the minimum zone for some of the more difficult planet types, I will make sure we get one of those in there before warpzone 8!
Once the DLC is out it would be great if someone made a warptorio 3. So at first you always warp to a nauvis like planet, but once you get a certain tech it will warp you to any of the planets. The Quality system will help a lot since a base full of legendary assemblers can be much more compact with the same throughput.
8:12 it's nice to see that one of my dearest Factorians also tried Warptorio as i do currently :) Don't know if you'll cover this in video but my stategy is NOT to populate platform at all and leave it as biter magnet :). After researching automobilism and harvester platforms, after each warp i simply pack my ass into car and run away with platform(s) screaming like a little girl. Before warp platform's polution reach my harvesters i am well equiped with resources.
One of my favorite UA-camrs playing one of my favorite mods. Dropped on the same day as a new FFF. Surely, December started off right! Looking forward to this series!!
Watching this while chilling on a safe dessert map. It's so nice to find a peaceful map after stockpiling hundreds of chests of stuff and now taking it slow and redesign everything. Have a nuclear power plant in the boiler floor that will actually make a surplus of uranium thanks to the insane beacon on the factory floor. I love this mod.
I watched a different UA-camr play this, tried it myself, failed miserably, but luckyly you come to the rescue! 😍😍😍 can't wait to see how you destroy this modpack 😎
I am really happy that you thoroughly probed how the mod works before starting this series. It made the start of this playthrough significantly more interesting to me than those others of the mod! :)
Okay, that is a fantastic premise. I haven't had much interest in factorio for awhile, but this is exactly the kind of game mode that I'd love to try. I wonder if it will be updated for the new planets in the upcoming DLC. That could be quite interesting.
What would make this especially challenging is if the warp timer lengthened with each warp, giving more time for evolution to increase, motivating quicker completions.
Excellent stuff my guy, can't wait for more. This mod seems perfect for your content. I was wondering what might come next on your channel. This was a great idea, keep it up!
I'm really not into overhaul mods for most games in general, especially games that are as well done as Factorio, but for you Mikey.. i'll try! I really love your other series' with tweaks or twists to the core gameplay loop, i'm just wary about a whole new tech tree and gameplay style.
This looks fun and interesting can't wait for the shenanigans , also I would be interested in a full cheese style play through where you let it warp out on the first world after the timer permanently pissed off biter island 🤣
Hey Mike, I absolutely love how much energy you put into these vids! I'd hate to dump more work on you, but would you consider adding subtitles to go along with the narration?
Can't wait for what happens, you've always done amazingly and this concept seems incredibly fun for your style! Also perhaps for a future challenge, try biter resources. I tried that mod and it seems incredibly difficult with a very fine line between failing, profiting and killing biters, but with no profit. You need to rush the flame turrets as bullet ammo is too expensive to use for killing biters. It certainly takes a lot to really break through the early game.
I didn't use top floor AT ALL, everything was inside after the first floor tech. All I had to lose was some pipes and boilers at the beginning, and I didn't need to defend, make ammo etc.
I did the "Warptorio" in like 150 or so warps, will be fun to see how many you make it in. Although i think i had a lot of other mods on monsters etc. that I don't know if you have as well (i just got a big package of mods to use and i assumed that was standard, ice-weapons and enemies, new biomes and materials etc.)
Cool. I was on a warptorio kick a while back. Added in rampant and arsenal. And some Bob's though i did away with that because it made building too easy.
Far as I remember, there are two different triggers for biter attacks in Warptorio. One from pollution, and one from the mod itself that endlessly triggers attacks. Second one in particular got a grace period, the rough ~10 minutes that you mentioned. As for the pollution one, no idea why it didn't trigger... perhaps because it would get triggered by the platform, but there's no valid target on it?
Your comment about not getting attacks also reminded me that on a new game there is only a small portion of the unscanned portion of the map which is generated and it slowly gets filled in behind the scenes. It could be in some of your tests if you weren't discovering the map yourself, the chunks with biters weren't actually getting generated fast enough (iirc it works similar to radar and generates a new chunk ever 5 minutes). I'm very curious to see how this goes, in my playthrough I had a couple times where I had to abandon the surface and play underground and this could really be exploited if you are trying to minimize warps.
The background chunks generate approx. 1 per second, up to a distance of 20 chunks away from the player, but more importantly, if a chunk is being polluted, it forces the generation of that chunk immediately including any biters on it.
Meanwhile me on warp 90 still handcrafting purple, albeit with everything ready to go to design both purple and yellow automated on the purple tier factory floor. Will be most interested to see where and how you get your resources in, i've designed a way that all resources can go in via either harvester platform and then up onto the factory floor. But not using my castle turrets to get stuff in that's nearby and handy so maybe i should look at that too. A smaller scale brick and stone production would be nice...
I love the presentation in the beginning. The overview and the general jist of, "Here's the super Cheeze Way. Useful in cretain applications, but You want the Game. Well, I hope You have Snacks." Mmm. *Chief-Kiss Gesture* I have my Popcorn.
Was I expecting a 24 hours long video? Yes.

Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷💙
I was going to write a comment, but this one says it all!
good news, the video is out now
I think folk will love this playthrough Mike, especially thanks to the crazy amount of preparation you've put into it
Doshington: Hold my beer!
3 days later...
Michael: Hold my beer keg!
Can we get a competition going between these two of who can put themselves through the worse hell? 🤣
@@AubDenashi im pretty sure dosh has already won that.
Michael: Bestuur de bierfiets!

It's still there, but at some point they'll swarm anyway, trigger could be playtime/warpzone based or perhaps upon unlocking a specific floor IDK
The planning you do is absolutely insane and it makes these videos really interesting! Great stuff :-)
I've been waiting for this playthrough, ever since I learned of Warptorio. Glad to be along for the ride.
8:14 super secret project?
Oh boi, can't wait for that to come out.
"The drop pod will leave with or without you!"
damn that mod is such an awesome idea, props to the guy who came up with it!

deconstructs everything and runs to the warp platform with seconds to spare... TSSSJJJ!!!!

I am hooked! Can't wait for the next episode
Woah I’ve never heard of this one before, I’ll have to try it out
Loved your run of this mod, what was your most memorable experience with this mod?
You put the work for our entertainment and for that Thanks you.
You séries are prepared and edited. And that make the whole Difference
One of my favorite UA-camrs playing one of my favorite mods. Dropped on the same day as a new FFF. Surely, December started off right! Looking forward to this series!!
I'm so excited for this playthrough! Your vids are always a joy to watch, I can't wait for the next wild ride
"baby being bullied by a behemoth biter" is a pretty good tongue twister.
First playthrough of yours that I'm watching as it's happening! Can't wait to see what comes next.
I love the editing style that makes these videos a joy to watch and learn weird bits didn’t know of Factorio
AHHHH! Too short! Too short! :D
Brilliant.
Definitely excited for a Hendricks carefully planned edition of this mod
I was traveling for a couple of months and one of the things I most looked forward to coming back to was these videos. Hope to see more soon.
Awesome intro for your next factorio series
Watching this while chilling on a safe dessert map. It's so nice to find a peaceful map after stockpiling hundreds of chests of stuff and now taking it slow and redesign everything. Have a nuclear power plant in the boiler floor that will actually make a surplus of uranium thanks to the insane beacon on the factory floor. I love this mod.
We have entered the era of modded Factorio for Mike. The countdown at the end is making me anxious for next week! I am going to LOVE this series.
Love the Ryan George reference
“Super easy, barely an inconvenience”
Awesome storytelling and edit as always! Thanks for the effort!
So stoked for this. Just finished my 3rd watch of your death world run. Enjoy all that you do, keep it up!
This was a super fun vid Mikey.
I watched a different UA-camr play this, tried it myself, failed miserably, but luckyly you come to the rescue! 😍😍😍
can't wait to see how you destroy this modpack 😎
Oh yeah, I was looking forward to this one. Let's go!
Warptorio series is damn entertaining when u build and comment it!
So, let's go Michael.
I am really happy that you thoroughly probed how the mod works before starting this series. It made the start of this playthrough significantly more interesting to me than those others of the mod! :)
Your videos are the best factorio ones out there - the best produced, most interesting etc - good stuff
Great !
So hyped for the next one :D
The last minute was quite intense
awsome to see a new series on this channel
can't wait for the next episode
New series!!!! WOOO 🎉
Warptorio is so much fun, though it's also painful and beat me twice. So I'm really looking forward to this.
It's gonna be way worse than that over the course of 8 warpzones, from 40 min to 60 min to usually-not-measured-in-min
I am very excited for this series, I love your videos, thanks for all the joy you bring!
Warptorio without the even split mod seems like a new form of torture
Excellent stuff my guy, can't wait for more. This mod seems perfect for your content. I was wondering what might come next on your channel. This was a great idea, keep it up!
YEa.. this is great, have not played warptorio my self, but i always woundered what would happen if you just stay behind
Looking forward to more of this series. Warptorio is one of my favorite mods.
For me, starting new base from scratch is fun, so the mod sounds intriguing.
it's amazing to see you play this cool mod
can't wait till next time
I've never heard of this mod but it looks really interesting, thanks for making a video about it!
11:05 I like the part where factorio guy goes on a *cool* rock hunt :DDD
He's a cool rock enjoyer :)
Finally, I was missing Mike's Videos so much.
around 4-5 minutes, you repeat the "there is a black square in the map" voiceover
He did ask you if you noticed. he only said it again because you may have missed it, right :3
Let's see the many close calls Mike is going to have 😜
I'm really not into overhaul mods for most games in general, especially games that are as well done as Factorio, but for you Mikey.. i'll try! I really love your other series' with tweaks or twists to the core gameplay loop, i'm just wary about a whole new tech tree and gameplay style.
Load up the platform with gun turrets and storage boxes. Probably be easier to top off chests each jump and rebuild.
I have been loving warptorio for many warps now.
It gives the right amount of juice, and it kind of tells me how long I have played:p
Amazing video! It has a very good hook! I cant wait to see the next ones!
'Old planet livecam'
hehe, that was a good one!
Here. We. Go. Thank you, this will be interesting. Shame that you did not play with Rampant too. It transforms the Warptorio experience greatly.
Warptorio is just easy little comfy sandbox, if you compare it with Warptorio Expansion XD
Normal factory: burner phase ends after 5-10 minutes.
Warptorio: let's try 5-10 hours.
Throwing some lowkey shade as always.
My dyslexic asx read warps as wars in the title and I was so exited.
Dude, I love your videos. You have a way of completely torturing yourself with your play-through. Quite enjoyable. Another good video!
yo, its cool mod, ive never heard about it bafore, but it seems to be super interesting and challenging. Waiting for next video
Always love your videos. Keep up the great work!
cant wait for the next one ! How regularly do you plan on releasing those ? thx
I've been playing this mod for about a week now it's sooo hard for me cause I'm a slow player
Love Ur videos 🤩
This looks fun and interesting can't wait for the shenanigans , also I would be interested in a full cheese style play through where you let it warp out on the first world after the timer permanently pissed off biter island 🤣
Oh don't worry, there's gonna be plenty of cheese in this one too!
Hey Mike, I absolutely love how much energy you put into these vids! I'd hate to dump more work on you, but would you consider adding subtitles to go along with the narration?
I'll consider start adding them again
Seems interesting, looking forward to this one.
The stuff you do is awesome, great content

Guess I better subscribe so I don't miss out on the warptastic adventures of our noble hero

good stuff, looking forward!
6:44 Oh, unexpected references to other UA-cam channels are _tight!_
Excited to see how this run goes
Super secret project 🤔🤔 interesting
Cool. I was on a warptorio kick a while back. Added in rampant and arsenal. And some Bob's though i did away with that because it made building too easy.
glad you're back! how often will episodes of this series be?
like usual I think, 7-14 days apart
Finally he playing warptorio

You 100% have to play pyCharms mods. That would be such a fun series to watch. You should also collab with Dosh Doshington
Your comment about not getting attacks also reminded me that on a new game there is only a small portion of the unscanned portion of the map which is generated and it slowly gets filled in behind the scenes. Loved the Ryan George reverence ❤
Yes sir! 🎉
So its Factorio but torture. Got it
This gunna be guud...
I love the presentation in the beginning.

Mmm. *Chief-Kiss Gesture*
I have my Popcorn.
Its probably similar to how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop... The world may never know
