Hello everyone! I will be STREAMING the Finale of "Krastorio2 pure DeathWorld" on Twitch this Sunday from 10:00 CET Tune in at www.twitch.tv/mikehendi Get in the mood by watching the previous VOD where I somehow crank out 3 out of the 4 post-rocket endgame tech cards (science packs) krastorio has to offer in a single stream! www.twitch.tv/videos/2025355030 Even earlier VODS can be found in the overview: www.twitch.tv/mikehendi/videos FAQ: Wait wut, you streamer boi now? I decided to try out streaming on a small scale just for fun (only notified patrons), to test the waters and get familiar with the whole technical process behind streaming (I still don't know too much, but ok). Wait wut, FINALE??? Why announce it only now? Well, the stream has become larger than I anticipated already anyway, and it's nowhere near "patreon-exclusive" anymore anyway. Also it's the epic finale of the playthrough, and even if you're unfamilair with Krastorio2, if you watch the last VOD, that kind of connects decently well with your vanilla factorio knowledge (finished yellow/purple tech, getting into optimization (space) tech, matter tech, advanced tech and this sunday the final one: singularity tech. Hey, be there if you want to, and if streams aren't your thing, that's fine too! Wait wut, where are the first few VODS? They have meanwhile been deleted by twitch's 14-day storage limit. Is this Krastorio playthrough coming to UA-cam in some form? Oh, and wait wut? No, it was never intended to be more than a small-scale test, I didn't expect it to do so well, and I didn't have the foresight to download everything (there where also a multitude of technical difficulties in the earliest streams). I really did like krastorio, so there may be a future challenge again. And for future streams, I'll probably make a seperate UA-cam VOD channel. Wait wut? yeah I know right?
15:25 I know it doesn't really count but Michael leaving his base into the biter attack and the base teleporting away behind him is just plain hilarious.
My guess... I assume on world 8 you grab the tech where you no longer need to auto jump and will try to finish the rest of the run there. My guess is going to be jungle and you are planning to create a worldwide forest fire to destroy all biters on the map for you.
i was also going to say jungle world, but i was going more with the reasoning that the biters may get stuck behind trees and therefore become a non issue or that the trees limit the pollution cloud, but i like your idea of a forest fire! not sure if that is enough to kill all nests though.
More hand feeding than in a children zoo, make me wake up laugh smirk and helped me start my day with smile, for some reason it made me laugh A LOT hahahah
Hi! Just wanted to thank you for all the amazing quality free content you make. I've been watching for almost 2 years now and your videos are always so interesting and entertaining to watch.
16:48: "I have developed my game plan around getting one specific kind of planet, and it's probably the only type of planet on which my warp zone 8 strategy can succeed." Probably. So presumably there's something uniquely beneficial, but not _unique,_ to that planet type. I'm going to take a wild guess and say copper-rich; lategame science gets to be _way_ more copper-intensive than early-game.
The last warp is obviously not gonna be to any of the "bad" teleports. One idea is that you would want a barren map to stamp down a big blueprint outside and use stockpiled ressources to rush the home warp like that. Maybe there is a way to disable the autowarping entirely, in which case you'd just want a world with all ressources, in which case that would be normal or uncharted. Maybe you stockpile one ressource and then go to a copper planet so you can finish science that way. (or the other way around). Uranium, oil, stone and coal don't really make sense to me. Jungle and Dwarf may have some properties that you have ommitted to keep us viewers in the dark.
I am always thrown for a loop when i see the vanilla belt texture. Im so used to playing with the blackbelts mod that I always forget how they normally look.
By the way, even with mining prod +100% you wont get a full belt from 15 miners. (with your current setup), since you'll have 8 miners miners suplying 1 lane, and 7 on the other, your true troughput willl be: +80%: 13,5 +90%: 14,15 +100%: 14,5 +110%: 14,85 +120%: 15
The left platform has 8/8 division (central miner outputs on bottom half of the belt), but indeed the right miner has 7/9 (central miner outputs on top half), I'll fix this with a hacky tacky off-platform inserter transfer in the next part. Once I can upgrade the platform size once, the warp pipe moves out of the way and everthing can look nice and symmetrical again :)
Well, I guess you spoiled the answer to the question of the title in this episode. Still great episode. The joke about the petting zoo was hilarious. Especially because I also got to imagine what an actual children zoo would look like. :D
Given it's Warptorio 2, and you say it's a unique world type that is the only type you could use for your strategy for that warp zone... I think it's fairly safe to say that Warp Zone 8 is going to be a peaceful planet. I don't know what it's called officially on that list, but the one that's got no biters and no resources except water. As far as I know, it's the only world type that's completely unique in a way that could apply for such. Presumably, you need a lot of biter-free factory space that the warp factory floor just can't provide you with, to consume a buttload of built up resources on that final push to the "win" condition.
I'm guessing that warp 8 will either be the rich zone, for more resources, or peaceful, so you get all the resources you need in 6 and 7 and then can build in peace.
I would guess that since this strategy only requires 8 warps, the 8th warp is the warp necessary to complete the challenge. That is, return to the original world. Unless I am misunderstanding.
on my way to beat warptorio for the 6th time, finished all purple research needed for a rocket silo at the 7:30 hour mark, estimated rocket launch by 9-10 hour mark, currently sitting on 16 warps. I think the way you avoid biters on the warp platform is not needed, I just made a turret line with an ammo belt and they take care of biters really easily with yellow ammo once you do a few damage upgrades. this gives a lot of extra space to build on which speeds things up and saves time overall
Not needed to beat warptorio, but very much needed if your (arbitrary) goal is to minimize number of warpzones! Launching a rocket is not even close to being able to warp back "home", there's still quite a bit of game left to do after the first launch.
@@MichaelHendriks well if you really want to minimize warps, just warp once in the start, and then just play on the first surface all the way to finish like vanilla factorio, and then you'll beat the game with just 1 warp. you can always get back to the warp platform later anyway, since you can research an item that teleports you to it
Yeah I deemed staying behind and beating it in 0 warps too cheesy... Anyway, that progress in 16 warps is pretty good, though I don't see how having the extra space to build on is gonna offset the huge cost of iron for yellow ammo, as well as having to invest the time to recollect, warp and resetup 2-3x more frequently (in my experience, even if you can kill all the biters, the ammo cost goes up exponentially over times, leading to "economic driven warps" instead of military ones: as soon as ammo spending is higher than iron income, you're already too late!
@@MichaelHendriks I 100% agree with your first point that 0 warp is too cheesy and kind of defeats the purpose of playing this mod. I talked to Pyrofire about adding mechanics to make it a sensible choice and not a personal limitation but for now he hasn't made an update. Maybe you could drop a word on the thread too :) As for ammo cost, I went and checked. approx 8 hours into my run I've crafted 28000 yellow ammo mags, which is 112000 iron plates. the total iron plate count I mined is 700k. so that's a 16% decrease in iron production to ammo (note that it's less than 16% overall since I didn't count the copper/stone/coal/oil). honestly? I feel like it's worth it, 10%-16% isn't much, I think the amount it speeds up my run is more than enough to offset this, seeing as I can just drop my harvesters asap after warp without having to drive around looking for resources and rebuilding stuff + I can use the space on my platform for automation and storage and such. I could be wrong though, honestly I don't know, I'm not an expert, I'm just trying out this mod myself as well. I'm going to keep following your run, I'm interested in seeing how well you can do this, already learned some neat ideas from you
Hmm, well, the last world type shouldn't be rich in any one resource, nor would you want a biter world. A world with no resources will obviously be bad, so it can't be that either. If it's a specific type of world, it shouldn't be default settings. It also can't be a world type with the settings that you made, as you said that it will be a new type of world. So, my conclusion is that it will be a world with some details that I am unaware of. I noticed there was an ocean planet in the list, so if that is an island type, it might be something like that, allowing you access to dense resource patches while the water fends off the biters for you? Something like that anyway.
My guess is a coal planet, so you can build immense powerplants everywhere and stay on the planet for a long time (with the no auto-jump tech and the tech that allows stopping pollution output)
Loving this series, am a little confused though, did you make all of all of the internal warp platform blueprints and just paste them down off cam? or are they there with the mod?
My guess on Warpzone 8 is "Ocean" ( an island with only trees and rocks, no biters but also no ressources) To get "home" as fast as possbible (via warp or rocket) you want to do only absolute minimum needed sience. Thats why the plattform floors will stay small, military tech stays low and there will be no free water on the plattform. So as final world you would want no biters and need water, it would be the only option for this type of strategy in my eyes. Sadly, you will most likely leave your factory behind in a world without ressources ....
Calling it now. Warpzone 8 will be a copper world because until you need yellow science, a rocket, or personal equipment. Copper just isn't really used that much.
"is still millions of attolightyears away"... okay one lightyear is equal to 9,460,730,472,580.8 km, or roughly 9.5*10^12; atto means 10^(-18); therfore 1 attolightyear is 9.5*10^(-6) km and 1 million attolightyears would be roughly 9.5 km... looking at the polution map.... yeah... maybe half a million attolightyears, at most.
A few days earlier: "hmmm, should I actually calculate it to be sure I'm precise? Ah, no don't be silly, nobody will bother to recalculate the exact distance stated..." If I had a centicent for every commenter who calculated the distance, I....'d have at least a dozen of centicents by now!
@@MichaelHendriks Well .. i got curious. i know that one was really large and the other was really small. so the end result should be something.. lets say gripable. of cause i already know that atto was E-18, so i just had to google how many meter a lightyear was, and wopsi, something E15 and.. thousand is of cause thousand is E3... so that was a pretty simple calculation
My guess is midnight world with high biter. You'll probably stockpile all required resource to build a proper war base in warpzone 6 and in 7th warpzone you are going to build the base and also get to test it. I went with resourse and not without resources coz your storages will be filled with resources to build base and starting amunition and then after building the base, you will continue amunition production in background to defend and for next warpzones.

i think its gonna be barren, for 8, because not only do you get loot chests, but the rocks with coal spawns there, giving you a near infinite amount of coal, depending on exactly how much time you want to spend there edit: spelling
5:00 this as far as i have watched...you going to get to a point where you are fully automated right?....right?.....or like large bot building blue prints on land....right? lol
There are zoos specifically made for children. Where I live they have a lot of goats, chickens, rabbits and such. Harmless cute soft things you can handfeed
i like your content, i dont always like the jokes you make... they dont translate well from drutch to english ( as i am dutch my self ) or they are just not that funny, i dont mind the math and explenations, hope you do upload more of warptorio

could you maybe ask on patreon to see if anybody downloaded the earlier VODs? Would love to see the whole series.

in my warptorio I used alarms with circuits to inform me about low water/coal, you see the alarm even if on a different "surface"
Yeah setting up alarms is very helpful, especially because you can't see other floors on the map view.
This video series has a new Video every 8:00 on a Friday for me. That is exactly 4 hours before the new Factorio Friday Fact.
Brings a new layer to "Thank God it's Friday".
Todays FFF was again magnificent, 2.0 is gonna be an awesome new experience.
And they didn't even touch military and biters yet
Unfortunately, that pattern has ended. Probably because it reached the end of Factorio. (Launched a rocket or Travelled 1000000 Tiles in 1 direction)

If only Biters could be the "missing" "resource"...
I am at about this stage of the game but up to Warp Zone 34 :)
Why this warp were depleted by half? Delay with edit? That's a bit rough to wait a week for 17 min video, but like and a comment ANYWAY.
i think its gonna be barren, for 8, because not only do you get loot chests, but the rocks with coal spawns there, giving you a near infinite amount of coal, depending on exactly how much time you want to spend there
edit: spelling
ah yes, 1 attolightyear, or in other words, 1cm
Atto = 10^-18
Lightyear is approx 10^13 km = 10^16 m = 10^18 cm
So yes, attoLY is around approx 1 cm 😂
6:12 Well, given that an atto-light year is roughly one centimeter...you're saying it is dozens of meters away? Sounds about right.
Are you planning to post the blueprints you made anywhere?
they're on discord
@@MichaelHendriks great I'll be sure to join. Loving the seriesss
EHAND that was a great video
Could 8 be barren and prayin for good rng?
yes
Gonk :]
5:00 this as far as i have watched...you going to get to a point where you are fully automated right?....right?.....or like large bot building blue prints on land....right? lol
bumpy dumpy
How are you dropping stacks into chest? Is that a mod?
1 stack ctrl click. Multiple stacks is video editing
@@MichaelHendriks oh i can ctrl z with ammo into turrets to put stacks in them?
z (without ctrl) inputs 1 ammo (or anything else) at a time
Oil planet
Next Time!

Same sound at 12:00 and 12:54

"hanyway"
Did you abandon this one? Or has twitch kidnapped you?
damn this series worse than crack literally checking in 3 times a day to see if the new episode dropped D:
If I upload, it's always on fridays 0900 CET
Preselecting world tyoes is cheating espeically if you need a planet type ypu can't get until a later warpzone
what is a "children's zoo"? im pretty sure zoos are for both children and adults, my friend
It's like normal zoo, but instead of animals there are children ;-).
But seriously, I think he meant zoo where you can feed animals.
There are zoos specifically made for children. Where I live they have a lot of goats, chickens, rabbits and such. Harmless cute soft things you can handfeed
i like your content, i dont always like the jokes you make...
they dont translate well from drutch to english ( as i am dutch my self )
or they are just not that funny, i dont mind the math and explenations,
hope you do upload more of warptorio
