This is offset once you can get water directly on your boiler floor, but until then, I found these worlds to be a massive waste of time. Great for collecting stone and coal from the local rocks and lootbox hunting, but with no water then my base had no power, so its not even like I could use the time to work through research and stored resources. A key part of your strategy has been bee-lining the techs that give you more time. So I wonder if next episode you are gonna get into a small science setup using the teleporter and factory floor to increase your time yet again, while making a sizeable starter base quite far away using the car. Anyway. Don't mind my senile grumbling, you are making great videos! It's about me, I have too many hours in Factorio.
My first casual playthrough took in the order of magnitude of 70 warps, and so did most other peoples playthroughs I came by. Hence, I wanted to do something different, not quite a "speedrun" in the traditional sence (since my micro sucks and I get distracted a lot lol), but like you say, a decently optimized build/tech order to complete the game in a minimal amount of warps, replicable by others if they want to. No offence taken man, and if you think it's that easy without the expansion, I dare you to try warping back to the homeworld from warpzone 8 and send me some screenshots ;)
Challenge accepted. :) I'll surely try, but it isn't my style of play in Factorio. After all this years I still don't have trio of fast achievements, it's too against my nature.
ah, ok.. so you just gonna use bugs and exploits to beat the mod pack..
sad sad sad.. I was so looking forward to see your take on warptorio, but now I think, I'll just skip this one. Watching someone cheat isn't really entertainment..
Fair enough, and while you might dislike both, cheating and taking advantage of game mechanics are 2 different things
