"NUCLEAR Warptorio" part 2 on Twitch this sunday from 12.00 CET: the No-Cheese Warptorio, where we have to actually defend the Warp Platform from the first MINUTE (yes, with just a pistol), as there's a superheated, explosion-ready, biter-attracting nuclear reactor on the platform ready to ruin my day! You can find part 1 here, going through the first SIXTEEN warpzones here (yeah, quite a difference from this run eh!): www.twitch.tv/videos/2039220353 Perhaps see you sunday! - www.twitch.tv/mikehendi
@@MichaelHendriks Thanks, that's great. twitch is really no good if you're not there to watch it live. It's simply impossible to get an overview of all previous streams, or even to find a specific video. Do let us know what the VOD channel is once it's made, so I can subscribe
Have had the stream VOD on in the background today, sounded like it was a lot of fun with the viewers showing their appreciation. Good for you, you deserve it man, hope you enjoy it too, don't feel too bad about it. Some people can afford to say thanks generously, just keep doing what you have been doing you're doing great stuff and nearly everyone here will keep coming back for more.
As always, love the series, your planning, gameplay and editing is fantastic. Thanks for putting them out here so everyone can watch them, you are the best!
Normally not a fan of "subscribe already", but this time I couldn't conclude anything different than "fair enough" It was the "released next to mickey" that pushed me from "I should" to "I will"
You cannot use an inserter to move the output of a miner, as it has no inside storage, and it just spits out its outputs on the ground. And the inserter in the early game would be too slow to catch up with the miners.
@Zigurath100 That's actually genius! I just tested it to see if it would fit, you need to use a red (long handed) inserter to keep space to power the miners, and you need to research a level of inserter stack bonus to make it keep up with the miners, but overall the benefits easily outweigh the drawbacks!
@@MichaelHendriksOhh, I thought it was to pickup from the miner itself, but that's actually smart moving the power pole up a tile and using the long handed as you said
@@luckerowl8990 @michaelhendriks could ask @adamvseverything he had a vod channel for a short period of time, but then merged it into his main channel and added VOD to the titels of the videos and VODS to the playlist titles. This makes me think it is better for the algo. Or easier or better findable by subscribers.
OK OK, I subscribed six videos in, why not. Besides, this series isn't over so now I'll be looking forward to it! PS. Thanks for helping me sleep! (I reward myself for falling asleep by re-watching the episode lol)
OH Yes ! Mr Hendricks finally drops another oneeee !! I was low key worried about you , hope all is well , keep them coming ! Best wishes !! Les gooooooooooo !!
Was waiting for this, and UA-cam decided to not tell me for three days, even though i checked the channel (obviously, too early). [shakes fist at clouds]
Another great video Michael like I feel like I need to catch the stream I really enjoy long format stuff 3-4 hrs with minimal editing but it's kind of funny I see people talking about when they joined the channel I like many subscribed for biter island but I found your channel because of cursed treasure lol i wonder how many classic TD fans are hanging out with us. And Michael i hope January has been fair to you and we'll see you next week 😊
Michael, in your initial smelting tunnel you are placing power poles between smelters instead in front of them by making gaps in belts with underground belts. Is it done for simplicity\cost sake?
Since I'm not defending the warp platform, I have to bring water (and later oil) in through the mining platforms, so I also need to route underground pipes through the belts. It seems hard to impossible to additionally weave the power lines in there, and there was no real need to compress the setup further, so I kept the "nice-looking" setup
I try to make it look like a fluent, well-played striyline, but if you watch an episode watching ONLY the timer, you'll be surprised how many micro-cuts and out-of-order-sequencing there is going on :)
guess these videos are made for a different audience, 3+min of just driving around in a car just wasted time, cutting it all out would make it a more enjoyable video for me.
Fair enough, I'm not participating in the race to cut as many hours of footage down to as few minutes as possible and believeing the video is better the more it's cut down. My goal is building an in-depth story around the journey, rather than reaching the end asap.

Why do you not have any menu simulations?
will you upload the twitch streams on youtube as well?
I'll make a VOD channel

17:37 Heh, MIKE-romanaging the pumps ;)
Did I see a world named Krastorio death world test at 22:00?
YUP! Guess we know what's coming next ey?
(Not the completion of the indestructibile Biter Nest Run...)
As always, love the series, your planning, gameplay and editing is fantastic. Thanks for putting them out here so everyone can watch them, you are the best!
I have a challenge for you Michael: Try going an entire ep without saying the word "Anyway". Anyway love the series, keep it up!
NoWay!
Loving your story telling. I'm really happy to see new episode 😊

Use an arm to move the results of the outside miners, nothing to forget

it's such a refreshing playthrough to watch compared to usual factorio, much more interesting than i anticipated, great work and ideas!
OMG NEW EPISODE! I’m so unbelievably excited. Thanks again for these top notch videos!
I genuinely love your videos. Thank you for this series! ❤
21:11 literally me every time before researching chemical science :D and afterwards too
Quality video, quality editing. Keep em coming :)
Would be nice to see a vod channel on youtube for those unedited twitch runs.
im not sure which is better for the algorithm, posting them on this channel or a separate channel

Such a great series, it inspired me to do my own Warp run.
Finally you are here man, now I can sleep peacefully (after watching the video of course) lol

Excellent
Love the undertale reference at 25:24
Stay determined
I missed you last week! Glad to have you back this week!
My favorite series of yours, I love it
"next time" hits like: I really like you 'as a friend'!
We all appreciate ANYWAY and NEXT TIME, but we should not forgot about NICE.
I'm addicted to these videos
Finally - another dose of warptorio
A good serie as always. I love your content.
Oh hey its Michael Hendricks, one of my favourite factorio content creators. How are you my guy?
At last! Another week without episode and I have to gonna play it by myself!

"anyway" ... "anyway" ... "anyway" 🙂
22:01 A quick sneak peak… A krastorio death world playthrough ?!?
9:00 would it be worth it to add a new more miners to make up for the time lose?
One day we'll see the hand-fed Space Exploration run
yes

This mod definitely need a conventional visual representation, not just cheap hue slide pictures.
[insert cool and appropriate comment that my brain is too busy thinking about other things to think up here]
See you next week!
I forget; how do you know which mining platform connects to which loader?
They have names, Right and Left
8:25 When did you place the lower gun turrets? They seemed to appear out of nowhere!

Well, it's your choice to suffer without Even Distribution mod, who we are to blame. It was really obvious already. :)
Great video! Thanks!
hehehe... it seems kinda cheaty to use a time-saving mod in a timed challenge

And in episode after talking about needing to place belts on the miners he forgets it.

what happened to the indestructible bases series?
I enjoyed that alot
not to say I don't enjoy this
it's still on hold
more live mike please :)
Co2 makes food.
UA-cam actually hit me with the "silent unsub" bug, which is odd, considering I've watched every episode of this. Good job, youtube.
Gonk :D
Twitch premiere gang?
You had an odd number of pipe to grounds for most of this video and it is bugging me.
AAAAARGH and did you know you can find odd number of underground belts in loot chests! Now that REALLY p*sses me off!
