I had that and got pulled over 😿 am debating on removing my tint and putting 50%, or just paying the fine, or just removing the tint altogether for good
I think I’m gonna get 50%, I drive at night/early morning a lot and have led headlights so it’ll be fine. Basically just want it to be dark enough so people can’t see who’s in the vehicle but not super dark.
I recently had my windshield tinted 35%, I had to go darker to 20% to get the same results he has on his truck. Reason being is I have tan interior. Interior always plays a factor in how dark a tint looks
do yhu think a light grey interior causes tint to look lighter too ? im stuck bc i wanna get 35% all round but idk how much the light grey interior would effect the darkness n shi.
I've had my windshield tinted on every car I've had, been some 20 years now. Before it would always be 50% as the lightest. Now there are a lot of good quality high heat rejecting 70% and even 90% for those who wants to keep it lowkey. I've always had 50% but the last couple of cars I've used 70% but I am going to be replacing it to 50% again. I wear glasses too and agree that the glare it block makes driving so much more comfortable.
This comment helps so much. I have glasses as well and have been debating 70% or 50%. Decided on 50% windshield and 35% on the rest of the windows so should help alot.
I’m currently at a shop getting 50% on the windshield Xpel. I also wear glasses and do night driving at times along with early morning driving. I hope it works out. I didn’t want to dark and the rest of my suv is 20% not to mention I have tan leather so it would make it lighter

Oh man, thx for the nighttime drive comparison. Dark roads too. That'll help me decide since I'm in a similar place. Plus it seems lighter interior helps distribute light more than darker. So am back!!!! Doing my ceramic review in the future once I get this truck painted and just a whole transformation.. did the whole entire truck 03 ram. Ceramic tint. 35 up front 15 sides 5% back and rear. Man game changer
Where I live, you can't even have your two front windows tinted at all. Windshield tint would get me pulled over on day 1 lol... I still tint my front windows though
Basically no tint on windshield allowed in Texas except for the top 5 inches of it. 25% lower limit on all the rest of the windows. So 5% will get your pulled over. If you have an accident esp at night you may be found liable for it if "you didn't see the other guy coming".
@@hunterhohenbery2833I have 5% and 30% on my windshield and it’s perfect for me. Day one it seems like you made a mistake, after a week or two your eyes adjust and it’s perfect. At night the glasses do nothing so I wouldn’t go darker than 30% on the windshield
I live in MA and definitely see way more people getting their full windshields tinted especially on newer vehicles. I might bite the bullet after I get my inspection sticker
tbh the 35% windshield with 20% all round is definitely the best way to go, i got it today after watching this video and even then my visibility at night is still great, but when you look inside the car u cant see SHIT

Def the truck has better leds compared to your ford, but the 50% is obviously going to be lighter. Thanks for sharing the comparison. I’m about to tint my windshield on my suv because the recent heat has been unbearable. I may go 50% but as for a tad higher because of night driving I do.
Yo man ik this video is old but look up windshield static stickers. You won’t have to cut that spot out u can stick the static stickers to your inspection and reg and then they legit just stay on by static can peel and move as many times as u like
Perfect combination by far is 5 all around and 50 windshield bcz when u close all windows people cant see u thro windshield but when u open all windows windshield look as if there is no tint on it which is perfect to avoid pulled over when u pass by cops
Here in Augusta, Georgia I got 50% windshield. It’s nice, considering going 35.% but the tint places here warn you that the cops will to get you and make you peel it off so I am hesitant
That would be terrible! Lol I actually helped my disinter move to Georgia (about an hour south west of Atlanta) last year with the truck. Thankfully no one noticed then 🤣

Basically no tint on windshield allowed in Texas except for the top 5 inches of it. 25% lower limit on all the rest of the windows. So 5% will get your pulled over. If you have an accident esp at night you may be found liable for it if "you didn't see the other guy coming".

Do you have dashcam? I’m trynna decide what percentage would be best when you have a dashcam especially during the night
@@st1028tezaku I do not, no.
do you think that 5% all the way around and 35% would be too dark for a windshield?
Have a buddy who has that on his 5th Gen. It’s beautiful!
hey bro, I’m not sure if you mentioned this in the video but are the tints ceramic or are they standard?
@@spyballoon just standard on these vehicles.
I'm almost 34 I've done windshields for over 15 years started out with 35% with all other windows 5% last 2 years I've switched to 30% full windshield and is the darkest I would go and yes I drive at night alot , have super bright led lights.
