I took have retired from window tinting after 40 plus years and I'd say this young man has a lot to learn. I'm also with you about the peel glasses....less possiblity of contamination and car washing. God the amount of detailing you'd have to do in Florida between the sandy beaches, redneck swamping, pollen, insect's and over all wind blowing you'd be detailing every vehicle before taking it inside the bay. I made many tools and the guy from the catalog came by and saw 2 of my tools and tried to get a patent on them behind my back and I released them on the Internet to prevent it and avoid attorney fees fighting it...that being said it's hard to find people that won't cut your throat. You can buy the basic material I utilized for my tools in the catalog but they will not tell you how it's to be used.
New subscriber from Australia great job mate, wish our laws allowed that on the front windscreen and darker tint like that. Looks amazing . Oh love your humor too. 😂😂😂😂
Shawn what are the tips for safety or registration stickers on the inside of the front window AFTER a tint has been applied? I worry that garages oil replacement stickers, or yearly safety inspection stickers will peal or damage the film
Just started getting into tinting again & Recently just found your channel. I tint a little bit different than you but definitely taking notes from some of the tips you give in your videos. Also, random question, but where do you buy your rags? Lol
are y’all serious? tons of fools have limo tint all around out here and barely get pulled over because there just aren’t enough police. Yeah it’s technically illegal but you only get stopped if you’re doing something else wrong too. That all-around limo almost guarantees that they’re going to be a bad / 💩🙆 driver too though.
Honest question: what’s your opinion of the safety of window tint film if the vehicle is involved in a crash? Safer or less safe and why? Thanks! I have tint on about 1/2 my cars and always wanted to know this.
Great job, different topic I see this guy with his watch, only few people care for a good quality watch now this days like Rolex, Piaget polo, jaeguer, patek etc… we live in a different time where wearing a cheap Apple Watch is trending. well is cool if you used it to do tinted windows.
Is it possible to have chameleon tint as top layer and a black sun banner as second layer? so the chameleon tint would be covering full window.. instead of up to the banner?
@Window Tint Warriors have you had any issues with NYS messing with you about removing Inspection Stickers? I'm a 15y tint veteran from Upstate NY and some of the shops up there have had some issues with Inspection Removals. Some have been getting fines for removing them. Even with signed waivers.
Of the front wind shield tint legal? It is not a solid black to prevent seeing in for cops. Im looking for something to put on my shield(s) but not get pulled over for
Depending on your state, a cop will say this is "mirrored" tint. It's not worth it if you live in a commie state that bans windshield tints/reflective tints.
one question, why tinted the front windows 2 times?? ))) I usually only tinted the rear windows like that. two or even three times))) what kind of film do you use??
Im curious Sean. How much is your rent for your shop? I been to your shop in the past and now I do tinting out of my parents garage but renting space on Long Island is so expensive!!!
Stay in your parents garage. Once you add rent to a landlord and taxes, you’ll be spending most your money working to pay the landlord. First several jobs every month will be for him. Then taxes will pinch your profit. You’ll have to raise prices, then get less work because you’ll be competing with the big shops.
But why give influence to do the windshield when it is illegal? Are you just coloring it or also actually reducing visibility or privacy. Tint translucent is always COLOR. How much in % is trans to opaque. Typically with automotive the term TINT does not mean color but % of privacy. I want windows that change color with the push of a button and goes to 100%. Don't look at my naked butt mode. PRIVATE CABIN MEANS PRIVATE CABIN. YO.
What's the current laws regarding tinting the windscreen as i was once pulled over for having my front door windows tinted and told to remove it there and then or my car would be ceased?
The sad part of this , he will get pulled over and he will have to remove the tint!!!! Sad. You can’t alter any front windshield in America!!! No state allows this. Fact. It is a road hazard and not safe. So don’t do it
It depends on what state you’re in. That’s a broad statement to say. In Massachusetts you won’t get pulled over for it. You just won’t get an inspection sticker when it’s time. Every year tint companies make a killing lol in Boston. I do my own tint. I’ve always have.

I've retired from window tinting after 40+ years so this is rather boring but I will say try using peel boards !!!!!!!

That came out nice...Cheers! So what's the deal with the Chameleon does that make it legal for the front windshield?
Nice work guys!!!!!!!! one question, why not remove and prep inside first?
Thanks for the info. Actually a great presentation. Will definitely try that chameleon tint.

I have a polarized blue tint on the windshield of my 2019 4runner and I love it I get comments on it all the time
Need more day in the lifes! Great vid👌🏾
I thought it was illegal to tint the whole windshield in every state
Negative. Most states are 55% and above is legal
$500.00 fine for both the business and car owners plus possible jail time
I didn't know that you can put a tint film over an existing one.....coolllll
Shop is very familiar. Looks like Houston XPEL close to spring Texas, off I45. That shop used to be a cabinet production shop.
I always thought it was illegal to tint the front window
It is
it is. In a lot of states you cant have your front windows tinted
You guys need to come to st.louis
You mentioned drier sheets? Can you explain the use for this. Also what do you do with the reg and inspection stickers?
Were the side windows pre-cut on a plotter ? And I assume the Chameleon won't show thru the factory-tinted 4Runner rear windows ?

Dang dude is talented
What states even allow full front windshield tint?
None should, its ugly AF.
That's really cool. Would not fly in California. I'm definitely tempted though

what is the risk with window tints in NYC I keep hearing it's illegal what's your best advice
In Texas your optometrist can sign a form that will allow to to get your front windshield tinted 😉😉. Just say the sun causes eye irritation..
Do you guys recalibrate the lane departure warning camera after reconnecting it?
4Runners don't have that nonsense... He has the factory dash-cam, but that wasn't removed. 😐

Half tint for me just too block the sun 🌞🌄

Why most tinters not protect the interior better. Speaker holes get sprayed and dripped lol.

what kind of film do you use??
I seen a car with mirror tint on the windshield
I wonder if the owner experiences headaches from using colored tint?
The color is barely noticeable from the inside so it is extremely tolerable.
Where you guys located? I noticed NYS Reg & inspection
It’s a miracle
13:06 what chemicals do you use to clean the inside of windshield, with?
Anyone know any good shops in San Antonio for tint?
Why only chameleon on the front windshield and not all the way around looks odd
Where is it legal to tint the windshield ¿?
Look good what percent is front glass

Premature tackulation 🤭🤭
Great you can't see who's inside, great for a drug dealer or a criminal
Yes 👍
its Illegal to tint a full windshield in Kansas , you can only go as low as the AS-1 line marked on the windshield .
If you follow every room the book. You might as well just stay home
