Pete Thank you for the nice comment. It was a fantastic car and felt incredibly grown up in some ways and in others it needs an ASBO slapped on it lol. I really feel it could cope with more power and not upset it at all.
I got a Clubman S All4 and it’s bone stock. It’s a nice daily and makes mundane school and grocery runs really enjoyable. The plus is that the missus loves the car as well. It really is a fun car. It’s unfortunate that Mini killed off the Clubman from its lineup. For those who are still interested in getting one, pls. don’t postpone. There are still some brand new Clubbies to be had in dealer lots. I think the appreciation for this gen. of Clubman is starting to grow since I hardly see any Cert. used ones for sale by me(NY). Will be upgrading mine slowly.
Since this video I have purchased an R53 with quite a few mods and the clubman is such a more grown up car and tbh better built (mine is a 2002 car) although the size and weight of mine is less
@@DamoDrives Love the quirkiness of the R53. I remember seeing those for the first time and really thought abt the Mini brand as a brand to look into when buying a car in the future. Just glad that both of us are part of the Mini fam. Enjoy the R53!
Awsome! Have a cooper s clubman and done a stage 1 remap and that changed my car!! What’s the 0-60 on the stage 2?? Only additional items would be to de chrome it all...light surrounds etc
MotorSport & Dream Cars just had a stage 2 done on my clubman Cooper s and now has 277bhp!! What a rocket but issue is with traction!!!!🤯 eibach lowering springs & spacers are next!!👍🏻
Matt Boocock I am pretty sure the owner said once he had his lower springs put on it improved the grip levels. We did a full launch and no wheel slip at all. Lowering it does make the car look a lot better as well , the wheels fill the arches nicely
I have the same spec albeit in lapisluxury blue. I'm currently in the process of modding mine. I have already fitted the Remus cat back exhaust and H&S spring's. I've got Forge intake kit and Forge intercooler in transit and as soon as they are fitted I'll be getting it tuned. I'm hoping for around 290hp and 420nm. I'm not keen on doing the dump pipe just a lot of $ for only 10hp.
Love the sound it makes , really does add to the drama of the car. It feels like it could easily take another 50-100bhp without upset the car. Having driven most of the mini range it’s great to try a car which is more performance orientated and a few sacrifices to comfort. Be great for an update when it is remapped 😊
@Andrew Amies - How did you get on with your engine tune? This car will have a sports cat and forge intercooler fitted at Lohen in October 2020 along with a custom re-tune.... look out for the video on this channel.
MotorSport & Dream Cars I want to get it remapped too. Who did you use? Also my car is still under warranty so I’d be waiting till it expires before I get any work done
Hi Steven. Really glad you enjoyed it and hopefully should be doing some more content with the car soon. I will so the wonder for some links a put them in the description. Will send you a message in the comments when it’s there
Enrique CN it felt more planted on the road but that could be too do with the fact is has been lowered and AWD gave so much grip. Possibly the 3 door felt a bit more nippy on direction change but a very very good car
There are a few advantages to the barn doors. They avoid the "tunnel view" you get with many hatchbacks - the strength and hinges in to doors are on the lower sides of the doors, so the glass stretches from corner to corner. Also it is easier to access roof racks and anything on a roof rack.
@@DamoDrives I own an f56 hard top in British racing green. It has become my favorite car of all time and iv had a few now. Iv done pretty much everything you can do except coilovers so that will probably be next. Seriously thxs for the great mini content again. Always looking forward to the next one.
I don’t think bmw developed a manual to go with this engine in any of the other models so they would have to make it just for the clubbie which would be great but too expensive (GP3 could of then had a manual option)
Glad you enjoyed the video 😊. I personally enjoyed the overall look but there are aftermarket official rims for the car so that’s an option especially if you want to modify it and completely make the car your own 😎
Looks like a lovely motor. I do like the Clubby. Only driven the Cooper S and that was brilliant :-)

I'm getting my JCW hopefully in 2 days time 🎉🎉🎉
Looks great sounds great 👍 😊
It was!
Proper weapon that mate, looks and sounds top.
It was rather quick but it was the sound that really made it more exciting p. I will say overall a very exciting and well built car
Great job man loving the vids! !!
Matt Hill thanks Matt glad you are enjoying them which is so important for me to make good and exciting videos for my viewers 😊.

No way of telling I’m afraid as I did not have any proper timing gear or a good location but it felt very quick and the noise was addictive

Who did the engine remap? Been told max 280bhp on an auto and 300bhp if Manual by “Evolve” in Luton
Matt & Oscar Boocock I think it was a company called impact. Do you mean a manual mini or a custom tune just for your car ?

I’ve got the same car and you’ve confirmed that I want a Remus exhaust👌🏼
It is amazing

anjingUK I used Impact Tuning
www.impactremaps.co.uk
I took the risk with the warranty as I’ve still 2 years to go until it expires
Hi, great review also have you got any links to the where you got the items. Thanks

MotorSport & Dream Cars, thanks for the reply, just picked mine up at the weekend. Looking forward to more content 👍
Great video!
Loved it .
How different is the ride with the long wheelbase clubman vs normal 3 doora mini ?
Enrique CN it felt more planted on the road but that could be too do with the fact is has been lowered and AWD gave so much grip. Possibly the 3 door felt a bit more nippy on direction change but a very very good car
@@DamoDrives Thank You
It looks like a nice mini but I am unsure of those rear doors
It’s difficult with the rear as it is so different from any other car on the road. I personally like it as it’s very different

He should do rear sways and run flat delete.
I will pass this on too him on the next shoot (well tomorrow) are you 1 of the many mini owners or a fan

put in a manual transmission.....2 much?

I might if I progress to forged internals as there is a limit to what the original gearbox can cope with
@@DamoDrives ours is a manual 6 speed turbo
Great combination 👏
Shockingly bad driving on a public road. Nice one 👍
AngryBritain TV rather firm but a really good handling cat. Just reviewed the new JCW Clubman and that rides better (review coming out this week)
What Air filter did you use or did you use a cold air intake
Just a replacement pannel filter from what i can remember
Pipercross panel filter
hello u
Have we met or do you know will
Awesome review! Though I think JCW needs to rethink how they design the rims
