As I’m a Skoda Driver, I have a Octavia RS Combi 2.0tsi 230pk with 180k kms / 112k miles, I can tell you that this brand as the best Fast Dad’s cars, big boot, lot of comfort for an daily use… Very solid car lot of good innovations and storages… I can go hard into the mountains and fast on the autobahn our cruising to the south of France with my family without any back pain or other. My dad had the Superb like this one with the 190pk 2.0tdi and it was the perfect cruiser. As you I’m a professional cars photographer and I’ve tried all the Audi RS, ///M, AMG etc I can’t find the same space as mine in these cars for such an good quality/price if we don’t talk of the extra power these cars have that my Octavia doesn’t.
That thing looks amazing in green, looks classy but not overstated and the interior looks lovely in brown, id happily have one of these, hope skoda makes them an option in their future line up, i love suvs but love estates too for practical reasons like camping trips and mountain bike etc, what a car , Skoda's come a long way in last couple years and their cars are looking very desirable
Jonny, this has now made me regret dropping my heavily tuned, lowered, but mainly sleepered 156 sportwagon for a Greg-Spec patina'd XM. I'm having project regret. This is indeed an epic car. Thanks for sharing it you SSG
Huge shoutout to Ricky and REPerformance. No disrespect to Jonny and I love the LBS channel but REPerformance is the only channel I literally countdown to their Tues and Fri vids. Ricky (the guru) has a great relaxed style and the walk around chats are great fun plus informative.
Everyone knows the power the EA888 can put out. But everyone is still blown away when you ride in one thats tuned up with a turbo, injectors and fuel pump. Always that grandmpa spec to teen spec gives you this exact special feeling. This is why I got into VAG.
I've only just sold my Skoda Superb, same model this is based on, and it's one of the best daily driver cars I've ever had. Not surprised they're even better with some modifications. I didn't get chance to modify mine due to warranty, but I would love it if Skoda made these available. Another great review Jonny.
What a stunning car. Even more though, hats off to Skoda for having it built, in an era where we're having dull washing machine cars stuffed down our throats, Skoda says 'balls to that, let's build a mad one'. Jonny, one thing (of many) that keeps me coming back to this channel is your true enthusiasm for such a wide variety of cars; it comes across loud and clear. Props also to the production folks (again), your hard work is noticed 👏 🎉 Build it Skoda 🙏 please. I can't afford one but I can be happy knowing it exists 👍
I'm in, except I think Skoda should make as many as are wanted and ordered! Maybe the financials go a bit bananas? Anyway, I'm hoping to still be in one day so please build them now so that I at least have half a chance of owning one, way there down the line. My first car was a 110R that failed its MOT so couldn't get taxed, but gave me great value sliding around country lanes and learning how to push it in the year before I took my driving test. It was the perfect vehicle, at least the only one to hand, for our unofficial unlicensed nominated drivers' scheme of 1988, an ingenious attempt at reassuring ourselves that we weren't just idiots, and somehow that we may safely return from a nightly visit to the pub. As a long term Skoda enthusiast, I gotta say that this one, with its engineering excellence, source to builder, really warms the heart ... which is so much better than being a rear screen heater warming your hands while you pushed it down a 1970s street!!! Ah come on, gotta get one of the historicals in ... to have this as a sleeper would be over more so sweet 😁
Yes, Skoda, build it please! Also for left hand drive! 😄 I think this form is way better than the new one! And all this mods serv the best purpose! Love it! ❤️
It is very rare that I comment on a video in here. Well done Skoda. Very well done Jonny! Great shot. Go please check 12:52 and see the camber on left rear wheel. You do get what Skoda & RE Engineering mean stealth business. What RS6 should have be is now SKODA.
and this is why im clinging onto my V50 T5 manual, it might be standard with its 230bhp, but i love how unassuming it is, and how much fun it can be when you need the get a lick on.... I also grew up not far from where this video was shot, and whenever i go home i'll take an extra scenic route because the roads are amazing, whinnats pass is a stunning drive.

Skoda UK must make this surely, for one you can't beat a good estate that actually looks better than the standard car, and one like this that's been breathed on is just Superb!!
True. I suspect Shkoda wouldn't make a profit on each one sold, and it would have to be a limited number like 25 or 50.. Volkswagen lost money on the Veyron.. The latter was just a publicity drive for the marque.
Wagons rule ! This is epic A Superb Touring in that green, with the brown interior, is absolute perfection ! I previously had Superb Touring, as company cars, they were soooo good ! Definitely this over an SUV. 💚💚💚💚💚
Yes Skoda Please Make This... Apart from not having enough money for this car, I love Skoda and would love to see more of these than so called SUV's on the road🙏
I love that Skoda, probably because I love’Q’ cars, a friend had an ex TWR jaguar saloon with a quad turbo V12, he got it up to 175mph on the German Autobahn. The wife got to test out a preproduction Ford RS Escort Cosworth, she told Ford she like it but wanted 4 doors, the following week we ended up with a Ford SVO Serria Sapphire Saloon, it had a non turbo Cosworth 2.2 litre 16v fuel injection engine, Granada 5stude steel wheels and plain hubcaps hiding disc brakes all around. It was lower, it had a small spoiler on the boot and 1.3 litre badges. In side it had a few extra holes in the dash and a six speed gearbox, and could out run a 2.8 l capri. It was fairly nippy and bid 100 mile in one hour. O what fun
@@S.1-1-1-1-1 The car was a development car that had was built as a sample vehicle from the parts bin, from memory the engine was to be used in a Serria GT. It had four Recardo bucket seats, we ended up bolting a child seat between the two back seats. The car was sat at the works gathering dust and as it had no special bespoke parts was available for disposal, the wife was doing work for them and a deal was made for us to purchase .
Skoda, please, please make this. Maybe offer it as an option in the way Ford partner with Mountune to offer performance upgrades to some of their cars.
Czech pilots were too good during the Battle of England. They should have allowed Hitler to take Britain for a day or two, in that way, they would have also switched to the right side like Czechia did.
As someone from Europe, I didn't have to mirror anything because it doesn't take that much brain power to compute driving on either side of the road. Also, intended by who? Napoleon? 😂
I went on holiday, end of September, came back and I'm now caught up on my notifications. None from your channel. When I clicked on you tube proper this was top of my list. But now I'm up to date . I had to search for the Skoda and got high peak autos, then I had to go by that bloke who does barn finds. Phew, and I'm back. I'll check out what I've missed. But the algorithm doesn't seem to be looking after you at the minute
Skoda im ALL in, what a beautiful car....driving the e class, i got to understand the beauty of eatates.....i got 2 portsmouth and back from manchester on 1 tank.
I've had a MkIV Supra, two E39 M5's, R35 from first month of production, and an F430 cabrio. I think this thing looks brilliant inside and out. If I move back to Europe I'm having one of these.
Years ago, me and a mate went to overtake a Skoda....then it was gone....like we never saw it again....ever since then I just love Q Cars (also known as sleeper's)!
Yes Skoda, make it. Reminds me of the Passat W8 and early Audi S6. Some people want to have performance and don't want others to know about it. No flared arches, big grills, huge wheels & exhausts. I'd love one of these.
I knew I'd love this as soon as I recognised the location. That's a hot estate. In my warm estate, a 330i, I really needed a "late brake show" dial overlay on a recent arise and drive from Sheffield to Kidsgrove - at 5am those roads are unreal, even in 2024. Love that Skoda have done this - hopefully they'll do a load more.
Love this ! We have an M340i Touring (de-badged) in identical colour combo. Only 370BHP and a bit more obvious but 90% of people don't notice. So, so satisfying to drive. We have more powerful sportscars, but if & when I lose my licence it will be a momentary loss of awareness/bad-luck at the helm of the M340i
I really wanted one of these 18 months ago but couldn't find an estate within budget. I ended up with the Octavia VRS 245. A few subtle mods took it to 300BHP. It's a fantastic car and I'm so happy I ended up with it but I still have an itch for the Superb and AWD one day.
YES Skoda, please build it. This car is a real wolf in sheep’s clothing. Reminds me of a 90’s Golf VR6.. it looked like a regular golf with nice set of Alloy’s and didn’t shout about the 2.9L under the bonnet. Understated & Classy, I’d buy one in a heartbeat..
Yes, Skoda, please make this. Finally a worthy and logical successor to the mk 7 R estate that’s been lugging our young family for the last 8 years! Jonny, bravo for this one, a great watch. 👍
I've had two Superbs and they are........superb! For those who haven't been in one, Jonny is spot on, the space cannot be underestimated. Though lets not forgot another VAG car that doesn't get the kudos it deserves (at least over here in Aus) - The VW Arteon which replaced my last Superb. In the RLine spec it is simply a joy to drive (though the RLine badge is a frustration - its the same spec as a Golf R so why derate it VW?). Anyway, back on script - Build it Skoda. Put one over on your Audi cousins!
Yes Skoda, make it please! This is spectacular, I own a 2016 Octavia vRS estate and when someone bumped into it last year I got given an "equivalent" qashqai. It was anything but, honestly worse in every possible way, I was so happy to get the Octavia back because it wiped the floor with the Nissan, more interior space, Much bigger boot, better turning circle, better all round visibility, way nicer to drive, as good if not better on fuel, the list goes on! There is no way I would consider replacing my estate with an SUV, they're compelely out classed by the good old wagon
REPerformance are absolutely the dads sphericals when it comes to perfection and performance. I'm an Avid fan of his channel just build the dam thing 😊
Love this. My last 3 cars have been VW Group estates. I had an Octavia estate, such a good car even in the lower spec. I now have the Seat Leon Estate FR and that is fun.

I go here every time o get a new car! Castleton is beautiful as well! A good backdrop for this car!
Love your car reviews, you bring us some of the best content out there. 👍
This is fantastic!! I need one! Lovely added touch of being filmed around Castleton, beautiful part of the UK with some great roads!
And A54 Buxton road. Good roads - assuming the avoided the speed cameras
Tuned by Ricky Elder at RePerfomance
He has a good YT channel
@ yeah I’m subscribed 👍 for the technical knowledge but also the banter
Thanks lads
Totally addicted the RE Performance UA-cam channel also love the LBS and SS podcast. 100 times better than regular TV content.
@@REPerformanceUK No worries bud
Do it do it!
The Superb is such a good looking estate, especially with this LK version.
I had a L&K 190 diesel 4x4. It was a beast of a machine. Only went back to a VW T6 as I needed the space.
Everyone knows the power the EA888 can put out. But everyone is still blown away when you ride in one thats tuned up with a turbo, injectors and fuel pump. Always that grandmpa spec to teen spec gives you this exact special feeling. This is why I got into VAG.
Excellent video Johnny, yes Skoda should build this. I have a Superb estate 170hp TDI DSG and I love it, also had Passat and Octavia estates
13:37: This is why i enjoy all your content, estates are the best.
Yessss. That's it. Yes.
Yes Please Skoda, make this. What a cool awesome motor.
Well done Skoda, and of course Ricky @ RE Performance. Well done 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you
I've only just sold my Skoda Superb, same model this is based on, and it's one of the best daily driver cars I've ever had.
Props also to the production folks (again), your hard work is noticed 👏 🎉
Build it Skoda 🙏 please. I can't afford one but I can be happy knowing it exists 👍
Get them calipers done in black 👌
Bought a diesel octavia estate recently. Best car I've ever owned! I'm 42 BTW.
They are so cool and reliable.
What a car. I’d love one if I could afford one.
Great video. The hills in the backdrop looked amazing!!!
Winnats Pass, Derbyshire.
Peak District is peak driving roads in England.
@@TheLateBrakeShow i've got a barn find for you right in the middle of it as well, have emailed in, but never heard back :D
@@TheLateBrakeShow5 bikers died in 1 day in august here, 2 more the week before that, 13 in total this year, majority of them were tourists. In all good conscience I don’t promote where I’m from anymore, there’s been overtourism since the covid staycation booms particularly and the condition of the roads has plummeted.
This is epic
A Superb Touring in that green, with the brown interior, is absolute perfection !
I previously had Superb Touring, as company cars, they were soooo good !
Definitely this over an SUV.
💚💚💚💚💚
Yes Skoda - BUILD IT!!!! As a life-long estate car fan, this is right up my street. What a car!
Ah Winnats Pass, my old stomping grounds, I learned how to drive on those roads.
Thanks, I was trying to find out where that was filmed.
Genius! What an epic thing, good looking too. Love the embedded TLBS logo in the video too
I'd love to have this for daily use.
I don't see any embedded logo are on any prescription medication? 😂
Shameful, im guessing not private, closed roads, so yes definitely bring to everyone’s attention you seem to be openly braking the speed limit.
@@DaleSteel Take a look at any shots of the dash that might reveal the speed he was doing!
@grilnam9945 shut up you mug
I love the roads you tested on. There's are the roads I grew up driving on. Between chapel/castelton/sparrowpit
They used to bring jags to road test up rushup edge from chapel to winnets pass .
Is it Buxton way? Looks nice
@benjimc1 about 5 or so miles from Buxton yeah
@@benjimc1 Most of the pretty shots are from Winnats Pass and the roads just above it around Rushup Edge and Mam Tor.
@@rikaus9273 appreciate it guys
Yes Skoda Please Make This...
Apart from not having enough money for this car, I love Skoda and would love to see more of these than so called SUV's on the road🙏
They’ve just stopped production. (All EV from now on)
OMG take my money! What an absolute weapon, practical and is "under the radar" absolutely brilliant! Come on skoda, get it on the market!
O what fun
Ford SVO?
@ Fords Special Vehicle Operation unit, they developed and prototyped none standard vehicles
@@Ashworth-Media And why would they build a car for your wife?
@@S.1-1-1-1-1 The car was a development car that had was built as a sample vehicle from the parts bin, from memory the engine was to be used in a Serria GT. It had four Recardo bucket seats, we ended up bolting a child seat between the two back seats. The car was sat at the works gathering dust and as it had no special bespoke parts was available for disposal, the wife was doing work for them and a deal was made for us to purchase .
Skoda, please, please make this. Maybe offer it as an option in the way Ford partner with Mountune to offer performance upgrades to some of their cars.
As someone from Europe, I had to mirror that clip to enjoy it the way it was intended. 😁👍🏼
😂😂😅
Czech pilots were too good during the Battle of England. They should have allowed Hitler to take Britain for a day or two, in that way, they would have also switched to the right side like Czechia did.
As someone from Europe, I didn't have to mirror anything because it doesn't take that much brain power to compute driving on either side of the road. Also, intended by who? Napoleon? 😂
@@threesixnine369six
Oh, I see. A smart little dude right there, huh?? 😅😅😅
Would recommend to get a big map and find Europe there…
I went on holiday, end of September, came back and I'm now caught up on my notifications.
Yes Skoda. MAKE IT! I had a Sportlline 280 and it was awesome, whilst being understated. Even in bright red.
Dean on saving salvage is building something like this
Dean is daza swapping, Ricky built this and tuned it
Yep, Deans putting an RS3 DAZA engine into a lighter Octavia estate. It’s gonna be brilliant for sure 👌👍

0:16 Scodar estate car?
It’s from the same creators as the FIÀT Pandar
That’s what the UK call em, in the US they call them “Station Wagon” or just “Wagon” and in Europe it’s “Kombi”
@ in Germany it’s called Kombi!
I haven’t call kombi to a single estate
@@tacodias He says scodar, I know what the right word is
@@tacodias The way he pronounces the word is very interesting
Skoda im ALL in, what a beautiful car....driving the e class, i got to understand the beauty of eatates.....i got 2 portsmouth and back from manchester on 1 tank.
I've had a MkIV Supra, two E39 M5's, R35 from first month of production, and an F430 cabrio. I think this thing looks brilliant inside and out. If I move back to Europe I'm having one of these.
Oh how I want this car. I absolutely love Sleeper cars, they win my heart everytime.
Yes Skoda, please build it.
I've got an Octavia VRS, so can only imagine how good this must be!
Love that Skoda have done this - hopefully they'll do a load more.
yessir ! skoda should definitely make this one ..
I approve and endorse this message
Yes Skoda make it. What a car, what a video, I really enjoyed watching thank you
Production levels have gone up!
Ricky is amazing
That's a great episode Jonny.....and.....
YES Skoda! Pleeeeeeeese make this one
I understand that Skoda will not be building these, but that Ricky at RE Performance is thinking about doing it himself, great Vlog,
REPerformance are absolutely the dads sphericals when it comes to perfection and performance. I'm an Avid fan of his channel just build the dam thing 😊
Just returned from Pragua, Skoda and VW wagons are the most popular cars there. Really nice cars.
Love this. My last 3 cars have been VW Group estates. I had an Octavia estate, such a good car even in the lower spec. I now have the Seat Leon Estate FR and that is fun.
Love this! That silver car waiting to come out of the junction must have thought they were seeing things when you pinned it in that haha.
Something never gets old about a sleeper, especially in practical estate guise.
