Come to the dark (medium format) side Jai! The real impressive thing is when you get these RAW files into editing. It'll make your brain squirt!
The biggest advantage is in enlargements. Back in the day, my Nikon 35 mm film camera produced great photographs, but once you got to 16 X 20, the lack of sharpness was palpable.
Yes exactly. That’s why I went from my Canon and Sony’s to the GFX 100S. Like I mention in the video I like to print up to 6’ for my prints. And after 5’ the FF really starts to look softer. Can’t wait to print some out from the GFX!

Good review. I own the 100s and the 50r. Love both! I spent a month shooting in Colorado this past summer with my 50r and the 30mm, 45mm and my MOST USED lens the 100-200 zoom. Im headed to the Yukon and Alaska for two months starting in late June and fingers and toes are crossed that the 20-35 zoom is released before I leave!

23mm (actually 18mm on a GFX100s) isn't wide enough for me...and the 17mm is a prime, i need more bang for my buck than a prime. How soon for that rumored wide angle zoom?
Yeah I felt the same way. Really wanted the wide zoom. I like really wide as well. But the 23mm scratched the itch for now and I picked up the 32-64mm which I really like. But that wide zoom can’t come fast enough!
