- I've wanted to test the Fujinon GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR for a while now, knowing it is the widest lens the GFX medium format system has to offer and rightfully so. I do mainly real estate photography (besides weddings of course) and this lens did not let me down!
I go over what I love about it, what I like less and what it is good for as well as some examples I shot here in Switzerland so you can see what you can get with it. This is a 12mm (roughly) for APS-C sensor cameras equivalent and it performs great.

I shoot with a GFX 50R (no IBIS) handheld without issues. My main issue with medium format is to get the focus exactly where I want.
Oh really? Interesting… didn’t have much of an issue on that with the 50R BUT I shot mainly landscape so my aperture was quite small. Cheers
Not really an issue, more of the main thing to focus on getting right. I try to stay in the 5.6 to 11 aperture for max image quality, but for portraits I’ll go more open and getting the eye/eyes in focus is not always easy.
love the fact you convert for medium format to APS-C. and just drop fuel fame all to gather.
Yup, I am a Fuji user for leisure and for work and there is no full frame there. Y bother mentioning it? Am sure full frame users can do the math 😎
