I love that you love sunscreens and explain the nit picky things!!! I love the fair color of the Neutrogena sunscreen for my very fair skin and have worn it out on a day off with a bit of powder to soften the glow. Thanks for keeping us informed!
Love love love the Neutrogena purescreen! I’m on my second bottle. I also use it as a “topper” over my in tinted SPF 50 sunscreen. The selling point for me is the shade range. I’m very fair and a lot of tinted sunscreens can be too dark or too pink for me. The light shade is PERFECT!
I got the neutrogena pure mineral one (shade medium deep) and so far I actually love it! It helps match my paler face to my darker body, the finish is really pretty, it’s not pink or grey, and I like the feel of it. It actually gives me a high light coverage more than a sheer coverage too.
Your baby is getting so big! I can’t believe how fast she has grown 🥹 great video! I recently bought the Kroger brand “shimmer sunscreen” recommended by dr. Dray. It has niacinimide, b5, and hyaluronic acid in it 😱 It doesn’t have color coverage, but it’s tinted in that it comes out of the tube a darker color and leaves absolutely no white cast. it makes my skin look hydrated and gives a divine glow (says shimmer but it’s without sparkles). I found it burns my eyes, so I use something else around them. Love the way it makes my skin look though! At the end of the day the skinic sunscreen is my favorite.
You should just launch your own sunscreen a line for oily gals and one for dryer girls in tinted and untinged options. I would buy all of them I would trust you with my skin over anyone else haha.
Thanks for saving me from wasting my money on the new Eucerin tinted sunscreen. It would be WAY too dark on my skin. I tried the Neutrogena tinted sunscreen in Light and it definitely left a pink hue on my neutral-leaning-warm skin. Not only that, but it never felt like it dried down on me, even though I have dry skin. I could touch it a couple of hours after application and some would still come off on my finger. Still sticking to my beloved Asian sunscreens for now! Thanks for reviewing these. ❤
I switched from La Roche-Posay to Eucerin and though I really liked La Roche-Posay, I am in love with Eucerin right now 😍 FYI: I have normal to dry skin and I have the European versions of both
I love when you review sunscreens, ur so thorough!! I still haven't found one that I absolutely love and enjoy wearing. I'm very acne prone so I'm looking for a mineral sunscreen and none I've tried check all the boxes for me. Could you do a fave or roundup video of ur fave mineral sunscreens? I thought it was against the law to mix sunscreens?
Echoing that I also love your thorough reviews! I’m a hesitant buyer, and like to watch a few of my trusted UA-camrs review what they though about a product before I consider buying. I love when you do a chart for you reviews so it’s easy to see how a product does in different areas!
I have been using and loving the CeraVe hydrating sheer sunscreen! I have more of a Carmel-ee(?) complexion, and it leaves me looking moisturized but not oily. I am usually sensitive around the eyes with chemical sunscreens, and it does not irritate me at all. Lastly, there is no white cast and the finish is very nice. As much as I enjoy this sunscreen, I am on the lookout for something with a higher SPF. Nonetheless, fantastic sunscreen.
Eucerin oil control one is water and sweat resistant (at least according to my packaging from a tub I bought today). It also the only sun screen I’ve tried that does have a Matt natural finish !!
I’ve been using Eucerin oil control for over a year. It’s very good, no cast, no smell. Some days I skip my facial moisturizer and use on the SPF. I’m 58 with combo skin and also on a light dose of estrogen so my skin is a bit confused and I get the occasional breakout. However I do have issues with milia and Eucerin has not caused any more to appear. I did try the tinted Neutrogena a few weeks ago and it was not for me. It smelled and my skin felt oily all day. I could smell it the next day, too even after a shower. I got the light and medium tints and couldn’t tell the difference between the two as far as tint. I personally don’t get the buzz on that one.
I personally love using the Mineral UV Tint sunscreen as a daytime eye cream. I don't mind using chemical (organic) sunscreens on my face, but they always sting my eyes. Using this exclusively around my eyes has been perfect since I don't get eye sting from it and also because I don't get that raccoon eye effect most other tinted/untinted sunscreens can give me lol
I like how you always give us some bits and pieces of Elsie; but not for too long to not upset the non-dog people! Hahaha I could get a lot more of that furry pretty face!! 🥰 🐶
I’m 58 with combo/dry skin. Would you be so kind to send me some recommendations I’d really appreciate it. I’ve been using SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen for a while but really prefer a mineral sunscreen for my face that doesn’t burn my eyes and works well under makeup. Also any suggestions for an unscented body sunscreen? Thx so much.
I use 2 sunscreens, on nose ..dDifferin, no if ands or buts. I do whole face in a missha, and add this all over bridge and nose, not near eyes... nothing absolutely nothing works under makeup like this. Love you Godspeed One of your Glam mas In California Dee
You should watch Lab Muffin Beauty Science (cosmetic chemist) video on whether spf sticks really work and provide adequate spf coverage (they don’t). Makes me not want to buy spf sticks anymore 😅
For those that want a tinted sunscreen with a little more coverage try the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen. It comes in three shades and is a mineral only sunscreen. I use it year round in place of foundation most days and LOVE IT!!! It is a more matte finish though.
Thank you so much!!!!!!! Ive been trying to find out which ones give enough “coverage” to replace any need for foundation and is not orange. I haven’t tried Australian gold yet bc some say it’s a little orange & some say pinkish? I’ve used elta md for awhile but I’d love a less expensive option that also has coverage .
doesn't it have only like 3% of zinc oxide? is it enough protection? (esp in the summer, when you would want a matte sunscreen) . I used to use it but stopped because I think the UVA rating would be low.
This is a great recommendation! Like you said, I can use this & skip foundation for my everyday minimal makeup look. This with a little blush, mascara & gloss is perfect. A light layer also works great under foundation as this makes a decent “primer”.
Would love to see a video on tinted sunscreens vs tinted moisturisers/bb creams/skin tints that have added SPF! Is there a difference? Love you videos!! Always SO informative 🤩🥰🥰
I have the eucerin oil control sunscreen and the sensitive mineral version! Both does not burn my eyes but I noticed the sensitive mineral one makes my skin pills a lot.
@@CrystalNicole13 I agree!! My eyes are very sensitive and I use Colorscience Total Eye but it’s expensive and the tint is a little dark for my fair skin so I would love to find others!
Love Cereve but can not handle piling so… . I’ll give it a try. I have been using K Beauty sunscreens over the last few years but need to find one I can pick up in local shop if needed.
the Eucerin Oil Control has a natural to matte finish on my oily skin so i’m surprised it doesn’t work for you. i don’t LOVE the thick cream texture because i’d prefer something that’s a little easier to spread but the finish is AMAZING and it leaves my skin matte for the entire day.
I also love it, but she's actually using the US version, you can recognize it from the green stripe. The EU one, according to some reviews (and to my personal opinion, since the one I'm using is the one from EU) seems to be more pleasant and really effective in controlling oiliness and shine.
Sunscreens are hard, man. I'm turning 60 next month and I still haven't found one that I love, adore & look forward to wearing every single day. I wear one every single day, but most are just too glowy for me. Thank God I wear powder foundations because otherwise I'd look like a cakey mess. I watch these videos in the hopes that a new one will hit the market and I'll have finally found my one true love! So, I'll keep watching sunscreen videos...!! Thanks for another great review Abbey!!!
Try the Australian Gold Tinted one. I love it & my mom (who has slightly oily skin) is who in her 60s and loves it. It dries right down matte, but somehow doesn’t dry your skin out (I have rosacea & can get easily dried out/dehydrated). It is the only sunscreen I have that I know is never going anywhere when I wear it. I use it for the gym & the super humid Eastern NC summer here. Cheap to boot: about $15 for I think 3 or 5 oz.
the European version of the EUCERIN oil control one is AMAZING. the boxes look the same but the ingredients are different. its also chemical but bc the ingredients are different it doesn't burn my eyes. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Finding a lightweight, matte Mineral Sunscreen thats good for oily skin has been so hard, so far my favorite one and my go to is Sun Bum tinted mineral Sunscreen spf30, it feels like wearing nothing even after re applying so I love using it everyday. If yall have other suggestions Im all ears.always in the lookout for more sunscreens ❤
Im sure you'll get to it eventually but have you tried the new Byoma Gel Sunscreen?? OMG ITS HEAVENLY. Zero chance of any white cast on anyone and moisturizing 💛💛💛 You'll absolutely love it
I've never found a tinted sunscreen that works for me. I have fair/light skin with an olive undertone. I have dry skin and even DRMTLGY doesn't settle and dry. I'm gonna try and apply without a moisturizer underneath.
Drmtlgy’s sunscreens are super super wet-finish looking sunscreens tho, so it makes sense they wouldn’t dry down. Imo they don’t really. Idk if the tint would work for you, but one that dries down so well is the Australian Gold tinted. It doesn’t perfectly match me, but I don’t care bc it’s dries so quick and doesn’t budge. Matte finish but doesn’t dry my skin out somehow.
Hi!! Two questions, how were these sunscreens near your eyes (I always experience such stinging :(. ). And two, what products are you using on your cheek bones?? So pretty :). Thank you.!
Cerave ultra light spf 30 is the other one you mentioned. I love it. Its probably my favorite. But I'm trying the new hybrid one. Its nice too, and you get more.
Love this video. I just started using that new Eucerin tinted sunscreen and even though it seems a bit dark coming out once I really blend it into my skin I don't see it being too dark...if anything it gives me a sheer wash of color and I'm pretty fair skinned, but I also use it on my neck and chest so I have spf coverage there as well. It also wears well under my makeup and blends in great with that. I'm interested in that new Neutrogena one you talked about. Thanks for this sunscreen video! I'm happy we are starting to get more options at the drugstore.
Does sunscreen around your eyes and on your eyelids make your eyes water? My eyes tear constantly when sunscreen gets a little close to my eyes. Anyone else?
Hi! I would totally love an IGK brand review video; have been eyeing their products for quite a while and am not convinced if they just have excellent marketing or if their products are actually effective. Love and appreciate all your content as always! 💙
I'm lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's near me. That sunscreen is amazing. I was in there last weekend picking more up and 3 people stopped me and said how much they like it.
The Eucerin Sensitive formula is the only drugstore I've tried that doesn't cause a rosacea flare for me. I'm light to medium with neutral undertones and love this sunscreen so so much!
Happy to see new drugstore sunscreen options. Still on the hunt for a drugstore tinted mineral sunscreen with an SPF of 50 that is also water resistant. I have dry skin and live in a dry climate, so the popular Australian Gold dries my face out and feels heavy. All Cerave sunscreens pill on my skin. I like the feel of Sun Bum tinted SPF 30 but I need an SPF of 50 to ensure my face is protected sufficiently from the sun. Thanks for showing us what’s currently out there Abbey🥰💗
I’m not sure where you are so not sure if it’s available but the Avène Sun Mineral Fluid SPF50+ (available both tinted and no tint) has both Zinc and Titanium Dioxode and is water resistant. I’ve been using it for years.
If you haven't found something yet I highly suggest the new cetaphil sunscreen. it's a matte finish spf 50 and beautiful under makeup. I think it's less drying than the Australian gold tinted
@@Kats4korner you're welcome! it's called cetaphil sheer mineral face liquid sunscreen SPF50. I shake it well before applying and gently pat it on all over
Abbey will you review the BosleyMD MendXtend Strengthening system?! It comes with the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in treatment!! I need and honest opinion and your videos are always the best!
I love the way you apply sunscreen. It’s satisfying especially when the white cast disappears. I’ve been using the Supergoop unseen sunscreen and I love it but with someone with dry skin the matte finish isn’t ideal
I use the new create and Neutrogena sunscreens and I think if big companies keep coming out with mineral or even mineral with some chemical actives that using an all chemical or even a non us sunscreen won't be needed because the feel of the new create and Neutrogena sunscreens are so nice not heavy and spread so well with no white cast.
I love your reviews for tinted sunscreens. I've been wearing sunscreen for many years but I don't wear makeup anymore and have been on the hunt (for a long time now) for my ideal tinted sunscreen-one that has enough iron oxides to help prevent my hyperpigmentation from getting worse, acts like a foundation for coverage, has great ingredients, dries to a demi matte, and actually matches my skin tone (major issue!!!!!!!!) I've tried soooo many; waiting for Colorscience Sunforgettable Face Shield Flex SPF 50 to come in the mail, fingers crossed. Side note--what breed is your sweet little doggie friend? ❤
What is the absolute best sunscreen for very oily skin? Everything I use makes my skin look very greasy. I’m having a hard time finding a product that absorbs oils and matifies.
I’m love the tinted mineral from Neutrogena and Eucerin both work great and I like the for every day use or indoors days but as we approach to sunny day I prefer my European sunscreens with really high UVA protection, you should give them a try 😎
Kroger came out with a facial sunscreen that I love and can actually wear. I bought both the Shimmer Sunscreen hydrating cream and the invisible gel both are Kroger brand SPF40. I'm thinking about layering first the invisible gel and then the shimmer. I'm new to sunscreen and retinol. I haven't had any burning eyes and no acne breakouts either! YAY!
Hi Abbey, I wanted to love the Neutrogena Purescree Mineral Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 30. I loved that it didn't leave a white cast on the skin, but it PILLED HORRIBLY. Ugh!!! I was just wondering, did it pill on your skin??? Do tell, please. Thanks.
I was suprised when you called yourself pasty, I always viewed you as relatively tan. But then again, I'm comparing to myself, and I use white eyeshadow concealer.
Thanks for this video. I was waiting for a review of the new Eucerin sunscreen. But i wonder if you ever tried the one from the Apostrophe. If not you need to try it I would love to hear your opinion on it. I absolutely love it and think you would be surprised as I was.
My mother in law calls me Casper the friendly ghost due to us taking a family photo to put in her mothers casket. Grandma was obsessed with photos and requested it to have a photo in heaven. I caused flash back on the camera. My whole body glowed. I was in the back and it looked like I was haunting them. 😂
@@botansaluki4553 I don’t even think I’m that pale but my husband says I haunt our house 😂 (Edited to add, my profile pic was taken in my bathroom lol the lighting in there is warm and it does give me slightly different color)
Hi abbey! You look beautiful as always 🤗 I know this is a skincare video but can you tell me a little bit about the sigma loose powder vs elf halo glow? Just curious about similarities/differences between the two
Something not mentioned about the Neutrogena Purescreen sunscreen is the awful packaging! The product leaks everywhere into the cap. It makes a mess! There are so many complaints about it. I hope they address this issue, because I actually really like this sunscreen, but will not purchase again. I will stick with Elta MD & DRMTLGY.
The Eucerin oil control has been one of my favorites. I have combo skin and for a time I couldn't find it at Target, so bought the hyaluronic acid version. Didn't like that one, my eyes burned.
Thank you for the great reviews! How does the color of Eucerin Sensitive Mineral Face SPF 35 compare to CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30? The CeraVe one looks orange on me (My skin tone is light to light-medium) so I wonder if Eucerin will look better.
Late to the comment party. 🤣 But, I’ve been loving the Neutrogena tinted! I have a lighter light-med skin tone, and the light is too pale for me. The medium is perfect - a more neutral tone, which is harder to find in tinted products.
Oh man, I'm definitely going to try that Cerave sunscreen. Like most (I assume), one of my first sunscreens I tried was either of the Cerave physical sunscreens and BOY do they wear terribly! This one, however, is a hybrid? Looks like a winner, as I, too, am paste'ish.
About a month ago I bought Neutrogena tinted sunscreen in light and it's too light and I'm really pale other than the sun damage which I'm working on that. We are pretty close in skin tone but your skin looks great!
Can you do plastic free options? I like Raw Elements because it’s a mineral sunscreen, it’s in a tin and it’s at target. But it has hemp oil in it which isn’t bad in itself but I hate the smell!

Same with me as well, even with mineral sunscreens. I HATE that.
I've tried so many sunscreens, it's an addiction to me lol
I'm still hooked on Isdin. ❤
Hi! I would totally love an IGK brand review video; have been eyeing their products for quite a while and am not convinced if they just have excellent marketing or if their products are actually effective. Love and appreciate all your content as always! 💙
Would love your take on the Hawaiian tropic serum sunscreen. Got mine at target. They have a face and a body. I’ve only tried the face version.
😱😱😱
I have been waiting for this 👏thank you 😊
Please review the new Bioderma sensibio defensive serum, I had a sample and it's sooo nice 😍
I've been using the Burt's Bees moisturizer SPF 30. I like it! I want to try the Pacifica ones.
Nice video. Have you tried Jack Black sunscreen before and May I ask what’s your opinion?
Thank you!
I'm lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's near me. That sunscreen is amazing. I was in there last weekend picking more up and 3 people stopped me and said how much they like it.
Is it for oily skin people or dry skin people?
@@kita3256 curious as well!
@@kita3256 I have dry skin. It feels like velvet going on.
Love this❣️ have you done a body sunscreen test? Specifically ones that aren’t so greasy???
The Eucerin Sensitive formula is the only drugstore I've tried that doesn't cause a rosacea flare for me. I'm light to medium with neutral undertones and love this sunscreen so so much!
that's amazing!!
Your dog is SO cute! She is actually so beautiful!!!
@@pajamamama5965 Thanks for suggestion😊
@@Kats4korner you're welcome! it's called cetaphil sheer mineral face liquid sunscreen SPF50. I shake it well before applying and gently pat it on all over
Thank you for doing this video!! I LOVE sunscreen, and it is important, so your research is amazing, and thank you for doing it for us, lol.
of course!! thanks for watching xx
Amazing video Abbey! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
what foundation products do you have on? your skin looks amazing
Abbey will you review the BosleyMD MendXtend Strengthening system?! It comes with the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in treatment!! I need and honest opinion and your videos are always the best!
Way too excited for this video
I just started using this over the weekend and love it! I have dark skin and the white cast does go away after it sets in :)
Which ones are you referring to? Thanks
Have you ever tried the Paula’s Choice Light Tinted sunscreen? I really like it.
are there any more recommendations for sunscreen sticks? i’ve been looking for some, but i’m not sure which ones are good and affordable
Hi, Abbey! I hope you get to review the new Coppertone Every Tone & Coppertone Face 45. The face one looks promising for oily skin. 😊
you always post a video so relevant to what i am looking into at that moment! cant wait to hear your thoughts and recommendations !
yay! thanks for watching
I love the way you apply sunscreen. It’s satisfying especially when the white cast disappears. I’ve been using the Supergoop unseen sunscreen and I love it but with someone with dry skin the matte finish isn’t ideal
There’s also a new tinted mineral sunscreen from hero cosmetics. It’s in an orange and white bottle.
The eucerin age defense has been my go to for over a year
I love that one - I'm older & have very dry skin.
I'd actually love to try the Coola stick for my kiddos faces for summer!
Props to neutrogena for the shade variety on their new sunscreens. It’s a good start.
Your skin looks absolutely beautiful! What foundation are you using?
i have oily skin and i enjoy eucerin oil control sun screen
your hair is looking better than before!! what are you using??!
love your nails
YAY!
I love these types of videos from you! 😀❤️
I love the new Vanicream spf 30. Cast disappears.
About the pastyness: I follow this channel because you are so light, but still 2 shades darker than me 😂
We are not pasty, we are FAIR 😂🤍
@@rebeccariehle2764 my mom used to call me "the captain of the chalk ship"... :D
@@botansaluki4553 I don’t even think I’m that pale but my husband says I haunt our house 😂
(Edited to add, my profile pic was taken in my bathroom lol the lighting in there is warm and it does give me slightly different color)
Same here! I think it’s only possible to be fairer than me if you are albino lol
Hi abbey! You look beautiful as always 🤗
I know this is a skincare video but can you tell me a little bit about the sigma loose powder vs elf halo glow? Just curious about similarities/differences between the two
Thanks for the review. Besides the sun stick, any of those sting eyes?
What do you think of the Australian gold tinted one
Something not mentioned about the Neutrogena Purescreen sunscreen is the awful packaging! The product leaks everywhere into the cap. It makes a mess! There are so many complaints about it. I hope they address this issue, because I actually really like this sunscreen, but will not purchase again. I will stick with Elta MD & DRMTLGY.
The only thing you don’t mention is if it the sunscreen stings the eyes!! That’s a deal breaker
Another SOLID sunscreen overview.🙏🏼
The Eucerin oil control has been one of my favorites. I have combo skin and for a time I couldn't find it at Target, so bought the hyaluronic acid version. Didn't like that one, my eyes burned.
I got a puppy recently too - I FEEL ya girl😂
Hi Abbey,
I got the Coola Silk Drops recently (grabbed them at TJ Maxx). Do you have an opinion? Thanks!
But, I’ve been loving the Neutrogena tinted!
You are an ANGEL!!! thank you!!!
