You are so brave to try a Neutrogena sunscreen around the eyes! After a few miserable experiences with their sunscreens just burning my eyes all day and even after I removed them, I swore them off forever. For example, the US version differs in texture and filters from the European, and the Asian version differs from the other two. So anyone watching this review should have this in mind. I personally love the European version (needs to be shaken well), it’s perhaps one of the best sunscreens for both face and body I’ve used. ❤️ Does not dry oily at all, fels very juice on the skin and gives a perfect base for makeup. I just wish it came in an unscented version. ☺️

Sunscreen is supposed to coat your skin as the more spf the denser the protective coating. So if you don’t feel the coating chances are it isn’t concentrating the avobenzone, octinoxate and oxybenzone enough to actually protect your skin well or it is filled with vitamin e oil or other oils. The perfumes that a lot of these sunscreens pack are horrible for your skin in direct sunlight.

Ooo I’m glad you made this video, because I have been wanting the Glow Recipe spf, but I absolutely hate spf that leaves a white ring by my hairline. Nope no I will not be getting that one 😆.
I noticed you never put your spf down on your neck? Do you apply spf on your neck? 😲 I always pull mine way down to my neck and decollate.
I’m also glad you posted this video because Charlotte Holdcroft says she absolutely loves the Shisedo spf you tried, so I have been so curious and wanting to get it. But she never mentioned it being an oily type spf. So…I’m not curious about that spf anymore either lol.
I’m currently using the Belif Aqua Bomb spf, and meh, it’s ok. It’s a little pilly around the hair line.
I’ve come to the conclusion nothing compares to Asian sunscreen. They just are the best, period.

I have figured out that some of my seemingly random sunscreen irritation was not the sunscreen itself so much but disrupted skin barrier from getting chemical exfoliants or retinol too close to my eyes overnight making the skin super sensitive.

While none of these sunscreens would work for me, I want to say how much I love the way you review sunscreen.
I don't like a glowy finish, and for some reason, almost all sunscreens look extra-glowy on my skin. Even "natural finish" makes me look like I have oily skin - my skin is on the dry side.
Abbey's reviews show how much glow the sunscreen has when fully dry ... so I can judge how it would look on my skin. Most reviewers don't show this ... they'll show a drop on their hand, nothing else. [Angie at Hot & Flashy does a good review - but she prefers all mineral sunscreens.]
I'm very much looking forward to the Asian sunscreen review! The Asian sunscreens show promise, but I don't want to order things I will never use because they make me look like a disco ball.

As a dry-skinned girl, I found that the Sheisido doesn’t leave the wet look on me, though I thought it might the first time I applied it because it is quite watery/oily looking. It does sting my eyes a little but only the left eye, which makes me wonder if it is a seasonal allergy thing.

sunscreen is just one step in avoiding sun damage. it is not a guarantee to 100% prevent it. very generous and continuous application is required. at the beach reapplication is recommended every hour or every time you get wet. using a water resistant higher spf 50+ is also crucial. but that's just one step. wearing protective clothing (spf certified swimsuits, rash guards n shirts n pants), sun hats/visors that are spf certified as well as seeking shade and avoiding direct sun exposure are all very important steps as well. look into EVY sunscreens for beach/high sun exposure times. but even if u don't use EVY using other water resistant sunscreens (reapplying often n generously) n wearing protective clothing n sunhats, seeking shade etc will all add up.

I thought the same thing about the first aid beauty one. What a disappointment, I was second-guessing, whether I shook the bottle long enough at Sephora because it was so oily. I would love a video comparing tinted Asian sunscreens. I feel like there is an abundance of videos on regular Asian sunscreens, but I’d love to see how the tinted ones compare.

Super excited for the Asian sunscreen video. I literally gasped when you put these near and on your eyes. I could feel the burn/sting through the screen. Ouch. I cannot wear any "American" chemical sunscreen on my face. I actually had chemical burns. Side note, the doctor was funny and said "well you will have a nice chemical peel."
*Note it was not from the sun. The burning started before I went outside and I could not get it off my face fast enough.

Banana Boat Light As Air Sunscreen Lotion - SPF 50 --- the best body sunscreen imo. water resistant incredibly light weight to the point can't even tell it's on! not much in asian beauty in terms of body sunscreens as many rely on protective clothing n sun hats n avoiding sun in general. u won't see many at the beach etc. but I can't live like that so I use body sunscreen n seek shade when possible.

I keep trying american suncreens only to dislike them. the eye sting is real and i have waterey
eyes anyway but add a lot of the filters used here and the faucet is running. I also know I don't like tinted sunscreens because of how they color the very light hair on my hairline. For some unknown reason I keep forgetting this and will buy one and then remember why I shy away from them. I currently have the new FAB one. I have to force myself to use it just to use it up. I much, much prefer the asian ones and buy them in bulk when I order. I search for the unicorn sunscreen continues but the asian ones are far and away the best. If we could get the Aussie and more European ones to try I would love it.

Dang- still hoping for that perfect Asian tinted sunscreen that's like the Beauty of Joseon but w a little blurring coverage and not glowy. Too much to ask? Probably. (basically Bliss Block Star but a bit more elegant under makeup) Also I have dry skin but also mature skin, so I definitely don't want a big glow to highlight my texture. Thanks for all the work on sunscreens! Most important! xx from Oregon
