Thanks! The whole time I’m setting here saying “what about Bondi Sand for those who can’t afford $30,$40 for sunscreen?” Yes, I love Bondi Sand and it has been my favorite for a year or so now. FYI you can get the body sunscreen one with 5oz at $13. It has the exact ingredients.
Thanks for a great SPF video! FYI, generally speaking in SF, the prices are way more than anywhere else. Biondi goes for $21 here in the SF/Bay area. FYI, a cheap dupe for Super Goop's SPF is Trader Joe's Daily Facial Sunscreen, SPF 40. It doubles as a great primer under foundation and it's fragrance-free! CVS has a clear mineral SPF that's a dupe for EltaMD's Sport SPF, it's $7.99 for the big tube, it's water resistant for 80 minutes and it's fragrance free. The only draw back to that one is it definitely leaves a white cast.
My large family went to BoraBora a few years back. My in-laws had all packed different sunscreens. I brought the La Roche Posay Anthelios one you mentioned with me (the first one you mentioned). I was the ONLY person out of the 12 of us that had zero sunburn. (I am light skinned) When we got back to the U.S. the entire family bought the LRP Anthelios! In humid environments I think it feels a bit heavy as a body sunscreen so make sure you apply it 20 min or so before you go outside to give it a chance to dry down, but I swear by the stuff. The reason I had even heard of it is because years ago it was consumer reports top choice for efficacious sunscreen. Hope this helps somebody choose a great vacation sunscreen!
Would love a video on all the LPosay favorites that u have because u do such a great job at explaining why u love and/or dislike each and every single aspect of the product!!! U always fill us in on every possible question so that we can choose OUR OWN fave from all your faves 🥰❤️🥰❤️
I use Bondi Sands sunscreen (not the face one) and it is so good! I love the glowy, dewy finish! It's bigger than the face one & works just as well for the face as it does for the body. It has definitely become my holy grail sunscreen. I honestly hope it stays around for a really long time. 💛🧡
That blue is amazing on you! Bondi Sands is a nice sunscreen at an amazing price. Like LP it can sting if it gets in your eyes but that's true of many chemical sunscreens. I have a mineral sunscreen I use on my eye area since my eyes are easily irritated. The cast is much less of a problem for me in that area.
Yep. That’s why I don’t buy LRP (I’m in the US). I think sunscreen should be affordable for everyone and LRP is owned by L’Oreal - they could choose a more reasonable price point if they want to.
@@josephcyriac1065 any of them. EU approves better filters than us, and LRP in every other country uses those. But if you’re in the US, you can’t get them shipped here (not LRP or Avène, or the Australian sunscreens), so you’re limited to either Asian ones or going to visit another country and stocking up while there.
I recently started using the delta md sunscreen and as someone with super oily skin in the summer I'm loving it personally. I do tend to get that dry/tight feeling from it, but I just moisturizer underneath and after about 30min it starts to away from my oils coming through a little. I don't find it dewy at all really on my skin and has been perfect especially I'm a server at a really greasy restaurant which does not help with my oily skin.
Yes please on la roche posay dedicated review 😊. What do you think about the invisible mist one they have for touch ups throughout the day over makeup when you are out and about? Thanks Abbey!!❤️❤️
The Bondi sands SunnyDaze sunscreen is amazing. It’s tinted so it doesn’t leave a white cast and it’s really moisturising. I have oily skin and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or greasy by the end of the day even after a couple of reapplications. It’s at a great price too!
I just tried the bondi one and it is amazing for the price! I am upset that it has taken me so long to try it. I have slight combo skin on my t-zone and this works perfect, I don’t find it too oily throughout the day. This will be my new favorite affordable sunscreen

If you haven't yet, you should check out the Tinted Max sunscreen from Peter Thomas Roth. It's a beautiful product and I don't see anyone talking about it.
The DRMTLGY SPF feels like that because of the zinc. By nature its mattifying and is a powder so mineral/hybrid SPFs with a high amount of zinc tend to be mattifying/dry-touch
My fave combo at the moment is the Alastin tinted SPF mixed with my Elta MD UV Sheer or UV Clear depending on the texture I want that day. I’m too pale to only use the Alastin tinted SPF 😅

Hi! Can you share your thoughts on several people calling out La Roche Posay sunscreens for not being fully broad spectrum? I believe Angie of Hot & Flashy actually dropped LRP from her lineup because of it. Just curious, as you are my SPF Queen!
Could you do a top heat protectant or heat protectant show down? I know you’ve mentioned a few in favorites videos but I think it’d be awesome to compare em all in one like this!

Hi Abbey I love your videos! What would be the most lightweight tinted mineral sunscreen you’ve tried that’s good for oily skin? Your past videos got me into Color Science but I remember you saying it’s not the most lightweight formula you’ve tried. Would really appreciate the recommendation, thank you!
I bought LRP 60 on Dr Dray's recommendation for oily skin, and the worst part is the white streaks with every application! How are you guys not getting tons of white build up in your hairline? Ugh!!
My problem is that sunscreen ALWAYS makes my skin oilier and gunkier by the end of the day. I’ve used elta md, la roche etc and I just hate wearing it so much :(
Abby have u heard of that BASK sunscreen??? Not sure if it meets your requirements but the packaging is super cute and I get ads for it often .....not sure if it's an old or new one
The Bondi Sands sunscreen has become a HG for me - even above BGS. They have a bigger sized bottle for your body and it seems like the ingredients are super similar? I’m like 👀 do I risk it and purchase that for my face?
It doesn’t seem that tretinoin has made skin sensitive to chemical sunscreens given the 1st listed is one of your faves. I wanted to ask you about this since Dermatologists warm that mineral sunscreens are much less irritating for people using tretinoin. (I even had Dermalogica recommend that I stay away from their moisturizer w/a chemical sunscreen because I’m on tretinoin!) I actually had a terrible allergic reaction to a MINERAL one while on Tretinoin, the only mineral one I tried by patch testing on my face so 5 days of thrashed skin layer. I’m pretty terrified of mineral sunscreens since I don’t know what ingredient I was allergic to. Also, makes it pretty difficult to know what to avoid in any sunscreen as a lot of the preservatives are used across-the-board in sunscreens & so many skincare, body & cleaning products. I’m guessing the bad reaction on my face may have been influenced by my use of Tret (though my skin wasn’t irritated prior to testing the sunscreen) but if mineral sunscreen could do what it did 😡in only 5 hours without even going outside, I don’t know how my face will react to chemical ones which are supposed to be harsher on those using Tret. Starting to wonder if Tret is worth the trouble between that & not being able to wax!😢🤦♀️
Do you ever layer two sunscreen products? I’m considering buying the La Roche Posay serum one you love with the Drmtlgy (I have the tinted hybrid formulation and am obsessed)…thoughts??
Please do a dedicated sunscreen reapplication video!!! Especially over makeup!

Hello Abbey. Can you also do a video on what are the best sunscreens work beast underneath makeup please….
Best sorry I had a typo
Can you please do a favorite MINERAL spf video?
Hi Abbey I love your videos! What would be the most lightweight tinted mineral sunscreen you’ve tried that’s good for oily skin? Your past videos got me into Color Science but I remember you saying it’s not the most lightweight formula you’ve tried. Would really appreciate the recommendation, thank you!
Would love to hear what you think of the new cerave cleanser balm!
I bought LRP 60 on Dr Dray's recommendation for oily skin, and the worst part is the white streaks with every application! How are you guys not getting tons of white build up in your hairline? Ugh!!
Can you do a video like this but strictly mineral sunscreens?
My problem is that sunscreen ALWAYS makes my skin oilier and gunkier by the end of the day. I’ve used elta md, la roche etc and I just hate wearing it so much :(
Try super goop unseen screen
Omg! What self tanner are you wearing? It looks amazing & dark!
needed the queen herself to speak before i purchase another sunscreen :)
🥰
Great vid!!! Abbey, why don’t you do a review of Jennifer Anniston LoLaVie? Would be great 👍 ty 🤗
Hi Abbey, Did you test these under make up?
What bronzer are you using! It looks great!
Abby have u heard of that BASK sunscreen??? Not sure if it meets your requirements but the packaging is super cute and I get ads for it often .....not sure if it's an old or new one
Which is your current favorite SPF to use under foundations?
Can you PLEASE review the Peter Thomas Roth tinted mineral sunscreen 😩
Please do a EU one! We can't get many of the brands mentioned :(
Thank you!
Love your videos!!! Have you ever tried COTZ Flawless Complexion SPF 50? It might be my new favorite!
Would love your opinion on the DIME wonderscreen!
The Bondi Sands sunscreen has become a HG for me - even above BGS. They have a bigger sized bottle for your body and it seems like the ingredients are super similar? I’m like 👀 do I risk it and purchase that for my face?
I am using the body one on my face and it works well! I haven't tried the face one.
There's no difference between the body and face one. They have the exact same line up of ingredients.
Which is the best under makeup?!
I find the melt into sunscreen milk heavy and it leaves a white cast. It's s little suffocating for my oily skin.
Do you ever layer two sunscreen products? I’m considering buying the La Roche Posay serum one you love with the Drmtlgy (I have the tinted hybrid formulation and am obsessed)…thoughts??
You're giving me Marsha Brady vibes today!
I am really obsessed with korean and japanese sunscreens and would love to know what your favorites are 😘
Coming soon!!
@@AbbeyYung Yey!!! Cant wait!!! 😘
