Sir, this was terrific. I love the side-by-side. I drove both as well and honestly, I couldn’t tell a difference at all. Note your 0 to 30 is exactly the same and unless you plan on gunning it everywhere I don’t see a huge difference between the two. 300 hp is more then enough. Well done 🍻
Nice video. Suggest looking into a better mic. The initial part of the video was picking up too much road noise compared to your voice. When you were holding the camera/phone inside it was a lot better.
The 2.3L engine does have pumped in exhaust sounds through the speakers. Many 4cyls are doing this today. I believe the Nissan Rogue is doing it with there paltry 3cyl engine on that SUV. Honestly i can't see the need for the 6cyl on this new Explorer unless you need to tow. The 2.3 puts out 300hp 310lbs torque which should be MORE than enough for the average driver. All while saving gas at the pump.
I just picked up my 2025 platinum. I ordered it back in may. really like it. has the 4cy turbo with the nicer seats and features. under 54K. I didn't upgrade the leather and got the bench seat. I don't know why anyone would get the lower models to save a couple grand.. I've notices the dealers are only ordering them with the 6cy upgrade. holding the price up with the 2024 line ups. If you have the time. custom order what you want.
I don't know about the Explorer, but my car has a coolant after run pump that circulates the coolant when the engine shuts off to prevent coking. And did check the flatness of the road where you do your 0-60 runs, because those 0-60 times are horrendous? How much boost do you lose at altitude, because the ECM programming should compensate for the altitude.
Exactly..!!! I had a 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD. And it had the 2.0 ecoboost putting out 240hp 270lbs torque. I had noticed that if i didn't use premium gas it was cutting those numbers down significantly. Now i own a 2020 Kia Sorento SX AWD with the V6 great solid sounding engine. And i still used premium in it and put it in sports mode to get the most out of it's 290hp and 252lbs torque. The Explorer Active trim with the 2.3L engine and 300hp and 310lbs torque should be MORE than enough for the average everyday driver. Unless your towing their is absolutely no need for the V6. The Explorer 2.3 Active is definitely on my short list along with the Hyundai Palisade when i get a new vehicle.
Ford makes a performance suv that has the same 0-60 as a minivan and charged 65k with terrible mpg lol. Bmw x5 all day everyday. 70k 0-60 in 5 secs for the 40i and 26-28mpg hwy. The American manufacturers are getting too greedy!!
You’re ignorant. He got a especially slow 0 to 60. They can do it just as fast as a x5 40i for less $$. US vehicles are the best in the world. Don’t forget it 🇺🇸
Ironically, this guy has the camera right on the blue Cruise sensor and yet not for a second did he think to review the blue Cruise feature. For God's sake, he showed us a stupid Ford manufacturer label. What's next? The tire valve stems
Finally someone who make contents about the 2.3 explorer so hard to find
Comparison chart at the end. Thank you! Something so simple. Reviewers rarely add things like this
Dude, you crushing it with content! Thx for these videos

That’s a typo. It’s 2.7 in the ST when he does it
I like the close up birds eye view while driving. Great comparison video and honest review ✌🏾♥️
Great Comparison , great information 👍
This is an awesome comparison! Well done!
Thanks!
Best SUV in the World
Ecoboost engine is gem and very powerful...💪💪

It really makes a big difference driving in sports mode and eco mode

"not required for premium" ... if you own a vehicle with a turbo or supercharger, you should be running only premium.

@@tomtalker2000 "there should be no need for the v6" ... whatever, dude. Some of us want the v6.
very good video, how did you film that with vehicle on the road showing rear view driving?
Thanks, I used an insta360 with a invisible selfie stick
@@JB_WhoWork thanks
Daaamn wish La freeways were this clear
Are either of these dual fuel injection or are they both direct injection only?
The 2.3 Active you tested at 53k has more options around 10K added to the base price A less optioned vehicle might be around 20K less than the 3.0 ST
Does the ST come with flex fuel for 2025?
I'd like a video of thr platinum with yhe 2.3L
Doe it ride quiet, or bumpy?
Why are you not brake boosting the cars? It helps a lot getting faster times
What does the Platinum feels like?
Haven't driven one yet.
2:40 a pano roof does give you better visibility..of the sun
I totally despise auto start/stop. It’s always off!
2020 and up the 2.3 liter wont detonate

@@Diddy_Do_It2037lol long answer short… NO!
$65k? You mean $56k-$58k? BMW makes a great vehicle, but definitely not for everyone.

Unreliable engines.
Are they really unreliable? because they are giving a warranty up to 100k kms
