A sad truth, when the prices of the vehicles climb beyond what customers can afford. Absurd to ask a family pay “double and triple the previous price for a car. Corporate Ford “messed around and found out!” 😡
Pricing itself out of business was not an overnight occurence. Ford had a winner in the F150 until they.packed with unwanted accessories to jack up the price. Add the creative prices increases by the dealers and tighter finances and the end of the business was inevitable. Anyone remember Packard, American motors or studebaker.
My Ford Maverick was ordered by me. A year later it arrived. The wiring harnesss was damaged during the manufacturing. No replacement parts are available
I do not feel bad for Ford Motor Company. They deserve this. They’ve gone woke and they’re screwing people. US manufacturers were claiming the car is dead. GM and Ford basically eliminated them. GM has kept the Malibu and that is it. Ford has zero 4 door sedans. So Toyota has a bunch in sedans from Corolla up to up to the Crown. They aren't hurting! There was a reason why they kept them. US car manufacturers have been behind the trends ever since the 1970's.

Thanks for the great video except the fact that you keep saying over and over and over that we’re paying $1000 more than we were five years ago. It’s a hell of a lot more than that. What you should be saying is people are paying $1000 a month payments on their new cars currently.
People are paying much more than $1000 for a car than they were five years ago. Auto parts stores are doing great, because people are keeping their old cars much longer.
Neighbor of mine works at Leander Toyota. New car sales are down 39% year over year. The dealership is only six years old and there is talk about downsizing the lot and staff. People are not paying $60k for a 4 cylinder Highlander.
Reminds of Chrysler back in the late '70's and early '80's when Lee Iacocca brought out the "K-Car" to save Chrysler. Lee said - "If you find a better car - buy it". The K-Car was minimalist and affordable for most Americans. I don't think Chrysler, Dodge, Ram or Jeep can be saved this time. GM is facing the same thing as Ford. They allowed the Government to dictate what they were to sell and/or produce - EV's. Even though the 'Government" NEVER produced or sold anything but empty promises.
The franchised dealer model should be disbanded and manufactures should be permitted to sell directly to the consumer thereby eliminating price gouging dealerships
I can't help but think of how the K car saved Chrysler. Nothing fancy but reliable, reasonably comfortable daily transportation that didn't cost a fortune at the pump. I would start with fixing the problems with the Maverick so they aren't getting what seems like monthly recalls. Next bring back the reliable, affordable basic work truck whose only features are backup camera and standard A/C. Last time I checked people are still buying cars after all Toyota has not stopped selling the Corolla and Camry.
It's funny you're talking about this. But can we laugh at Ronald Reagan when AMC was bought out by Chrysler? Or George Bush when Mecury, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn all went out of business when he was president? Sorry, you guys under the MAGA cult have no idea in realizing your political party has failed our country like Democrats.
My Ford Fusion had its bluetooth to the radio fail after 5 years and now the car won't let me set the temperature of the interior. Its stuck of 71 but trying to heat to over 80F. Estimated repair cost is $1000.
Well back 20 years ago you could buy a new F150 Lariat package with the 5.4L engine for $20K. You can't even buy any new ford for $20K now so the average person can't afford a new ford and put groceries on the table. Average medium income in the USA is $40k a year. You are not buying any new car with that salary these days unless the car payment and insurance are your only bills because you are still living at home with mom and dad.
Fords problem is not their automobiles, but the people operating dealerships and the creeps they hire. Ford is the only vehicle i have had in 60+ years that never left me walking. I have no interest in hybrid or electric vehicles. Ford needs to get back to basics before the whole company is bankrupt.
If you look at it from a statistical standpoint, small car sales were declining from their peak so the decision to move away from small cars was the right decision from a property ability standpoint.
Years ago Toyota realised they could not sell expensive cars so they invented Lexus while continuing to sell small Toyotas. Ford thought they could sell expensive Ford's. It was a bad move particularly when those expensive Ford's are poorly built. Ford is run by accountants who screw every penny out of the business but have made a massive mistake.
Bought 03 f150 7700 for 4k put 1 k into it. 90k miles. No issues. Would never pay 50k plus for a vehicle. All car companies are outta control. They got away with stealing for so long during covid now its biting them.

These new trucks trying to learn how you drive and you can not understand what the heck thi s piece of s**t is doing and breaking down when the truck is put to your task.
Apparently, you never took basic economics in high school
Well, looks like my next car will be a Mitsubishi!
Oh, that one for under 20K is going away?
Well, looks like my next car will be a skateboard!
There is a ton of money at Ford have all the CEOs office workers engineer return there bonuses and salaries
EV was a waste of resources!
They can eat their EVs. What goes around comes around. Now eat your markups on your trucks. Your excessive markups are now killing our insurance rates !!!
A sad truth, when the prices of the vehicles climb beyond what customers can afford. Absurd to ask a family pay “double and triple the previous price for a car. Corporate Ford “messed around and found out!” 😡
Ford is not out of business
unfortuneatly.
Yet😎
IMMINENT 😢 😮
And they won't be😂
Farley should go to jail for housing FORD !!!
TALK IS CHEAP FARLEY !!!!
These trucks will worth a lot more money a couple of hundred years from now as they will be valuable antiques! Ford should just keep them
Go back to making the falcon 30mpg no electronic bull crap most people could fix it there'selves
FORD....FAILURE OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Found on the road Dead
Fix or repair daily
@@bigjimtenbillion Driver returns on foot ....backwards
This news doesn't bother me a bit. I never bought a Ford and never will. I would never buy an electric vehicle. They are the stupidest thing ever.
Basically, TOYOTA WAS RIGHT 🤡6:55
Toyota doesn't have the UAW, end of story.
@MHolt-t6yThey last longer than american cars
@MHolt-t6y Toyota and Lexus are top dog.
@MHolt-t6y
Not yet
But they getting there
@@RomeoUrsu-fy9qoToyotas trucks and SUVs are expensive trash these days. The cars are still decent, for now.
My Ford Maverick was ordered by me. A year later it arrived. The wiring harnesss was damaged during the manufacturing. No replacement parts are available
Jim is a marketing guy not a car guy.
So many of your points you repeat over and over and over, why?
You can stuff more ads in a longer video.
BECAUSE WE'RE "THICK"😮
I don't feel one bit sorry for them. Bye Ford. Bye Chrysler. Bye GM.
The government will bail them out.
This is what Ford, GM and Stellantis are banking on. “Too big to fail”
GOVERNMENT my ass it’s ALL OF US!!! ENOUGH is ENOUGH.
How many times have we done this and do they change NOPE
Our tax dollars at work
Waste of money
I do not feel bad for Ford Motor Company. They deserve this. They’ve gone woke and they’re screwing people. I am from Michigan originally and almost every family member worked for Ford Motor Company beginning inthe 1920’s . Get back to basics build solid engines without turbo and traditional transmissions.
Ive never heard anyone call the F-150 the "F one hundred and 50".
Whats that about?
expensive, and not a lot people have enough money to buy a 100,000 truck, insane and plus the electric stupidity is going to be worst
Electric cars are a joke.
Ford ………. Where Quality is Job None !
Chevy and Dodge aren’t any better…
Chevy truck is expensive as Ford …and they look a girly truck.
And DODGE are crap as hell
Toyota V8 engine are blowing as bad or worse than Dodge.
So remains only Ford …but expensive and not really worth as a value.
Many don’t need a truck for every day use….but are bought for the size and style….mine is bigger than yours 😂😂😂😂.
People are paying WAY MORE THAN $1,000 more for the same new car/truck that they bought 5 years ago. The F150 models are close to DOUBLE.
Thanks for the great video except the fact that you keep saying over and over and over that we’re paying $1000 more than we were five years ago. It’s a hell of a lot more than that. What you should be saying is people are paying $1000 a month payments on their new cars currently.
Toyota has also spent several hundred millions in recalls, recently.
Great job Democrats
People are paying much more than $1000 for a car than they were five years ago.
Auto parts stores are doing great, because people are keeping their old cars much longer.
My truck cost me almost $39k now the same truck 7 years later $58k STX 4x4 F150
7 years ago my house was worth $320,000. Now it’s worth $729,000. Everything is good
@@DaBooster 7 years ago you were broke and stupid.
Before we were making $5.50 now we’re making $7.50😂😂
Neighbor of mine works at Leander Toyota. New car sales are down 39% year over year. The dealership is only six years old and there is talk about downsizing the lot and staff. People are not paying $60k for a 4 cylinder Highlander.
"Ford One Hundred Fifty" lol
Reminds of Chrysler back in the late '70's and early '80's when Lee Iacocca brought out the "K-Car" to save Chrysler. Lee said - "If you find a better car - buy it". The K-Car was minimalist and affordable for most Americans. I don't think Chrysler, Dodge, Ram or Jeep can be saved this time. GM is facing the same thing as Ford. They allowed the Government to dictate what they were to sell and/or produce - EV's. Even though the 'Government" NEVER produced or sold anything but empty promises.
I don’t feel bad for them they greedy and deserve it The building pick up trucks that no one could afford it
The franchised dealer model should be disbanded and manufactures should be permitted to sell directly to the consumer thereby eliminating price gouging dealerships
Congratulations to all who voted for Joe Biden. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Last week stock market hit all-time highs. Thank you, Joe.
You will need it soon. Kamalanomics are going to hurt. A lot
Electrical car mandates are a huge issue, once again government overreach.
like stelantis, priced out of the market. CANOO is doing great and their truck is $21,000 2wd without incentive, van $34.000 also.
What’s a CANOO?
My Grandpa had a Datsun, I had a Nissan, not more truck than you need! Better fuel economy, easier to park, steer and more nimble than a Ford truck.
What did you do with the 2008 government gift?
Only $1000 more? You are way off.. it’s more like $10,000 more
My Ford Fusion had its bluetooth to the radio fail after 5 years and now the car won't let me set the temperature of the interior. Its stuck of 71 but trying to heat to over 80F. Estimated repair cost is $1000.
$1000? Lol, try like $8000! This is why no one wants to buy new vehicles.
Thank Washington D.C.
Pop your hood, you'll see bureaucracy....
Fords problem is not their automobiles, but the people operating dealerships and the creeps they hire. Ford is the only vehicle i have had in 60+ years that never left me walking. I have no interest in hybrid or electric vehicles. Ford needs to get back to basics before the whole company is bankrupt.
HuuuH see were greed got ya.
Shelling out a heck of a lot more than $1000 ... More like $40,000-50,000 more
No body want electric cars
Not a thousand more, but a 40% hike. As for electric cars, and trucks for get about it.
Hyundai and Kia have great cars. I'm no CEO but even I knew Ford cancelling cars was a grave mistake.
If you look at it from a statistical standpoint, small car sales were declining from their peak so the decision to move away from small cars was the right decision from a property ability standpoint.
Kia’s are just cheap junk 😂😂😂
Years ago Toyota realised they could not sell expensive cars so they invented Lexus while continuing to sell small Toyotas. Ford thought they could sell expensive Ford's. It was a bad move particularly when those expensive Ford's are poorly built. Ford is run by accountants who screw every penny out of the business but have made a massive mistake.
I am waiting to see what Elon does now that he owns Ford. Yeah, there WILL be changes and the UAW will likely be out too. Should be fun.
Elon doesn't own Ford. Who are you listening to, the CarEdge guys, or Scotty Kilmer. LOL
Elon owns Ford???
Elon does not own Ford you should probably take your head out of your backside
Bought 03 f150 7700 for 4k put 1 k into it. 90k miles. No issues. Would never pay 50k plus for a vehicle. All car companies are outta control. They got away with stealing for so long during covid now its biting them.
nobody wants the stupid electric cars
I predicted this the day the E-150 was released. Then they lost 3 billion on Rivian. Then they recalled or put on stop sale everything they made. Sometimes I hate to be right.
Go EV, Go Broke. People don't those damn EVs.
Ford: Found On Road Dead
US will become land of classic gasoline vehicles, like Cuba.
All automakers should go bankrupt for the prices they charge. Get rid of stupid regulations and excessive computers. No one wants an overpriced computer with wheels that looks ugly that spies on you
I don't know where you got that," People are paying $1000 more for vehicles than they were 5 years ago." It's more like $30,000 more than they were paying 5 years ago.
The consumer needs to pay for those high wages of the assembly workers.
