- So many people have been asking how I make my scrappy stained glass blocks, so here's a tutorial with all the juicy details! I have realized in filming this that I am very long winded and use too many ambiguous pronouns. Please feel free to comment below, or DM me on IG if you have any questions!

I don't know what I love most, the beautiful stained glass block, the use of tiny scraps, the honesty to the whole video, or your wonderful humor. I truly enjoyed the whole video and I can't wait to make a quilt using this great idea. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I have watched this video approximately four times and love every second of it! I will be trying this method, however, I need to finish quilts for my siblings, mother and myself. I'm working on a total of eight quilts. I've already finished one completely and I'm about halfway done with the second one. These aren't just any quilts through they're double-sided, so it will take me a little while longer! LOL I so look forward to trying your method with all of my scraps, and all should be capitalized! Such a great tutorial! So easy to listen to & follow. Enjoyed your humor so much. Am new to piecing / quilting - can't wait to make stained glass blocks; I already have some fabrics in mind (scraps from clothes my daughters wore as youngsters)😁
I love how you iron everything so thoroughly. I get 'press stress' when fabric is cut or sewn when creased. This is good fun.
Fascinating process! I've never tried stained glass piecing, though I have done scrappy crumb piecing (including random wacky angles, not just straight lines). I'm so pleased that you shared your thought process regarding the various options you had in completing the block, instead of just arbitrarily choosing one and doing it. Hearing you think aloud certainly opened my eyes to seeing and UNDERSTANDING why you considered and rejected several options before making your final decision. My biggest stumbling block here would be not taking into account the size of the patterned fabric pieces after adding sashing -- I was startled to realize how careful you needed to be in sizing that top border! Lovely final block! I was smiling at the daisy fabric; I used that same fabric for a double 4-patch quilt that I made for my aunt in 2018. Sadly, she died in Nov 2021, but her son took a pic of that quilt still on her bed, saying she'd loved it so much that she always slept under it. She would have been thrilled to see "her" daisy fabric in your beautiful stained glass block! 😺💕🐾

I have made many crumb quilt blocks, even Drunkard's Path with crumb-pieced centers, but I never thought of added sashing to give them a stained glass look. Thank you for a brilliant idea. -- My son is getting married in 4 months and I wanted to make something totally different for him and his fiance, since neither of them are old-fashioned-granny-type-quilt people. I think this would make a very unique quilt that would be perfect for their personalities. Thank you. I subscribed so I can see more of your quilts.

I just finished hand-quilting my first full-sized quilt and, as relaxing and meditative as the process was, there were times that I sounded like a mule driver.

I have been working on a lot of QAL'S. I think that I am going to take my scrap bins out and work on my string and crumb blocks. Even if I only get a couple of each done tomorrow that is fine. Sometimes you just need a break from organized sewing 😁😊

Really useful, I bought a sashed stained glass quilting kit three years ago, but couldn’t make sense of the instructions, it’s now clear!
The swearing made me laugh, but the suddenly very loud noise of your intermission section startled me a lot more.😂

Sometimes when you look at actual stained glass, there are some diagonal pieces too. Do you have any ideas on how to get that look?
