Love that stain glass tutorial .!! Nice and easy . Love it!!!
It;s a lot of fun to do as well Dora, as long as you keep everything in piles. It's really easy to get lost otherwise. Guess how I know that :)
Perfect!
Very nice, and it looks pretty easy and a great way to use up stash. Your finished quilt is beautiful. Thanks for the clear instructions. This goes on my "to do" list.

Just discovered your site and subscribed…..I have been making a similar quilt from a kit I got from the lovely people at Jordan fabrics. It is so much fun to make….theirs is called Mosaic and I am making it to hang in my church….which is called Mosaic. I like the idea of the bias tape. Thank you ….going to try this method with my next one.💕Cathy in Montana
What a lovely idea Cathy 😊. The bias tape certainly works well.
Love that tape
It's great for this type of project Rosi 😊. This is Clover adhesive binding tape. Here is a link to the quilt blog post that shows where you can get some if you need it. www.alandacraft.com/2017/10/20/stack-slash-stained-glass-quilt-block-technique/
inspiring and beautiful.
Thank you, and the quilts not bad either. (joke)
Love your very helpful video. Could you please do this poor grandma’s nerves a favor and remember to close your rotary blade after each cut? Thanks
I feel the same Linda. I am the one that does the filming and am constantly telling Wanda to close the blade. (She's much better at doing it now - this was an old video.)
THANK YOU !!!
Awesome video! Thank you for some wonderful ideas....👍🏻👵🏻
Thank you Bonnie, glad you like it 😊
1. nice tutorial. 2. Excellent color choices! :)

Thank you for your lovely comment :)
Like the design. Thank you. Sandra B.
Thank you Sandra. This is such fun to do. 🙂
Muy lindos los combinados gracias saludos de Bogota Colombia
I'm happy to hear you like it Jaime. Thank you 😊
Clever! When you start the second 9” trim you start in a bit and back up. That will save my rulers. I’ve nicked the corner so many times!
😀 I learnt early on by doing that very thing. I have a couple of rulers with nicked out corners.
Очень красиво👍
спасибо. Thank you Zina. :)
I haven't seen that tape here in New Zealand but will be looking for it, looks great!
There is a link in the description under the video, Audrey. It links to Amazon, so you can always try there if you have trouble finding the tape in NZ.
Alanda Craft Thank you.
Você é ótima, mesmo não falando tua língua consigo entender o que você faz, 👏👏👏
Excelente, Cristiane. Fico feliz que você tenha sido capaz de seguir.
Lovely quilt, awesome technique...thumbs up for sure. Question - are there any specific issues/concerns with the tape (sashing) when the quilt is washed? Any specific settings/temps, etc.?
👏👏👏👏👏
Very eye catching :) I love the look using the bias tape rather than the usual 1 inch strips. I must put some of that on my list. Was one roll enough for the entire quilt? Did you need more?
It uses just over one roll. The materials are on the website Terry. www.alandacraft.com/stack-slash-stained-glass-quilt-block-technique/ This is definitely easier that doing the strips.
thank you for the video could I use this bias strip tape to make a attic window, instead of using black fabric
I can't see why not Samantha. Give it a go and see if it works.
Where can I purchased the black bias tape ? Do you sell it ? Wonderful video.Thank You
Thank you Susan 😊. This tape can be purchased from Amazon amzn.to/3QTdZpj You may also be able to pick it up at local sewing stores.
Lovely idea, Although I havent seen the tape in NZ. Also I urge you to shut your rotary cutter between cuts, should you knock it on the floor your toes could get cut.
This tape seems to be hard to get in OZ and NZ, Caroline, however Amazon stock it and they will post this item to Australia, here is a link amzn.to/2yL6MzP. Thank you for the reminder about closing the cover on the blade, I am usually really careful but obviously wasn't focussed at the time. :)
thanks for your reply I will check out Amazon for the tape,
OK so we now cut and sewed 4 blocks! But, how to make all the next blocks exactly the same with out a template?
The idea of this technique is that the blocks are random.
When putting my ironing mat over my cutting mat and ironed , my cutting mat was warped
Bonjour, Se sont des carrés de quelles grandeur svp ?
They measure 10" Suzanne. Here is a link to the step-by-step written instructions www.alandacraft.com/2017/10/20/stack-slash-stained-glass-quilt-block-technique/
Merci beaucoup pour ta réponse, je rassemble tous mes tissus et je le réalise dès que possible, le modèle est trop beau . Bisous.
giggle
Instead of spreading them out like that, leave them stacked. Take on stack & put the top to the bottom of the pile. On the opposing corner take the bottom of the stack & put it to the top. On the two remaining opposing stacks take one & take the two top pieces & put on the bottom of the stack & on the last stack take the bottom 2 & put them on the top of that stack.
