It's new pattern time! This one's for all y'all precut lovers out there. I really do love this pattern, but it needs a bit more attention to precision than most patterns, so I thought it might be helpful to share how I make sure I'm precisely piecing my quilts. So many people have been asking how I make my scrappy stained glass blocks, so here's a tutorial with all the juicy details! I have realized in filming this that I am very long winded and use too many ambiguous pronouns. Please feel free to comment below, or DM me on IG if you have any questions! Quilted Jellyfish Tutorial | Smash that (Applique) Stash
Переглядів 7 тис.4 роки тому
I've found myself inundated with a large collection of fusible web backed scraps. To use them up, I introduce to you the quilted jellyfish! These jellyfish are made using raw edge applique and come together in just a few minutes. For reference, I made all five postcards shown here in less than an hour, including turning the applique jellyfish into the actual postcards. They're fast, fun, and tu...
Wonderful tutorial....music makes it a impossible to watch...sorry
My 91 year old Dad belly laughed at your "pronouns" 😂 He watches my screen instead of his TV. 😂 😂 I think the blocks are gorgeous.
Ok, so, it says thus was recording 3 years ago, but I just found you today, Aug 23, 24. I love your stained glass and your reactions to the "technical difficulties" 😅 thank you!!!
NOT an idiot! A creative process in action. Thank you for showing the mistakes. We don't learn if we don't mess up and learn from the mistakes.❤❤❤
Fyi...I will not be watching your channel again In the future since you choose to swear like a sailor. I'm exercising my right not to listen to your vulgarity.
Quite labour extensive with ironing after every step, but worth the effort as very striking 🤗
Omgggg I love you for swearing while quilting. My new fav vid ever!
Soooooo beeful.
Who said it was gonna be easy?! Oh so beautiful…and a great tutorial… thank you! ❤
Amazing! You are so talented!
Wow beautiful work!! Love love that block! Thanks for the tutorial
Can these actually go through the mail? I think my friends in Oregon would enjoy getting one, but I haven't tried making them yet.
I've yet to try this, but this is my favorite tutorial. I always laugh when your camera malfunctions.
Love this video - so appreciate your sharing your method for this beautiful block - and your frustration! 😂❤
Love you sharing your thought processes. This is striking unique and beautiful work! Thank you! Subscribed!
🤣😂🤣😂❤
Me encantan tus trabajos, te veo desde españa y me gustaría que pusieras subtítulos en españon, gracias❤
Have you actually sent any quilted postcards? If so, how did it fare?
I want to be your friend. Just one Mutha-@ulcer and a son of a $i/ch and I’m hooked!!
I think thats one of the coolest things ive ever seen. Was that free motion stitching you did with the feed dogs raised?
Its great that you leave in the fact that you messed up; a lotbof beginning quilters think that longtime quilters don't make simple mistakes...SOOOOO not true. Seam rippers are your best friends!
Such a great tutorial! So easy to listen to & follow. Enjoyed your humor so much. Am new to piecing / quilting - can't wait to make stained glass blocks; I already have some fabrics in mind (scraps from clothes my daughters wore as youngsters)😁
🫣😁😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hilarious, love it all.
Thank you for a great tutorial 😊
Stunning!
I swear just like you...but im an Aussie, so it's allowed...lol
What a great way to use up those smaller scraps and makes such a beautiful block!
Thumbs up for the cursing, I had a good laugh 😃
Did you have a melt down? Too funny!
New sub here, new to quilting also, I don’t even have a sewing machine yet. You make it so easy to follow. I love the look of stained glass quilts, thanks for explaining how to do it, you made it look easy and very do able 👍🏽🙋🏽♀️ I too came for the quilting and stayed for the swearing 🙋🏽♀️😁😊
super cute!!
love the video's . :)
Love this! Thank you! Also, I’m subscribing!
I still laugh every time I watch this... Still following your technique and language.
What a wonderful way to deal with scraps. Tedious, but wonderful.
I don't know what I love most, the beautiful stained glass block, the use of tiny scraps, the honesty to the whole video, or your wonderful humor. I truly enjoyed the whole video and I can't wait to make a quilt using this great idea. Thanks so much for sharing this.
You are very creative indeed. I enjoyed your tutorial & look forward to more in the future.
I love how you iron everything so thoroughly. I get 'press stress' when fabric is cut or sewn when creased. This is good fun.
When I heard the words orthogonal and perpendicular in the same sentence, I was hooked.
Really useful, I bought a sashed stained glass quilting kit three years ago, but couldn’t make sense of the instructions, it’s now clear! The swearing made me laugh, but the suddenly very loud noise of your intermission section startled me a lot more.😂
Video began after you began sewing. Will you make another showing beginning?
How can I get a tutorial of this quilt? A pattern? I know I’m really late in asking.
You are amazing!
Bless your heart! Your squares are adorable!
Love the way you put these blocks together. I plan to make my own color block colors. Can't wait to get started. Thank you for this great video.
That was absolutely cool.
This was a fun project! I love your videos.
Accuquilt is a wonderful thing. Expensive, but wonderful. :)
😂😂😂😂😂😂omgosh, I'm sorry your camera was shut off, but you made me laugh so hard. THANK YOU, nice quilt . Thank you for sharing 😊
This is the first time I have found you Samantha. You are a genius for figuring this one out in a way I can grasp it. A "real" quilter instead of having the quit police in your studio. Love your style. I have always admired this bock but was have been intimidated to try it until now. Thanks a bunch. Keep up the great vids.
