I'm not against Peterson (I like his psychology lectures), but this outlet isn't that interested in seeking the truth. Example 4:00 Both "the left" (the insane part of the Democrats/Liberals) and "the right" (the insane part of the Republicans/Conservatives) have a huge distrust of institutions. I mean the entire premise of midwestern conservatives is that the state shouldn't be trusted hence they carry guns and want the government as far away as possible. It's time this nutpicking (singling out the most insane parts of each camp and pretending they represent the whole) stops, from both sides.

@@daarom3472 - we know both the left and right can go too far, and Peterson reiterates that fact often. However, the problem we have at present is the left has control of most mechanisms, and clearly it is going too far - the fact it doesn’t have control of this news outlet is a miracle and a hopeful sign!

      That's a toxic attitude.
      What makes you say that?
Is it how you actually feel or is it a conditioned response?
There are 3 options when it comes to groups of people who are largely rejected by society... such as Incels
      1. You can ignore them and leave them to decay... this is evil and bad for society. People facing large scale rejection have nothing to lose and often lash out.
      2. You can disparage them and force them into accelerated decay... this is even more evil because you are actively trying to hurt people.
      3. You can try to help them grow as people and become valuable members of society.
This is what Peterson is doing.
It's the only noble thing you can do in this situation.

As a mother, I am so thankful that I saw through the "anti violence/anti male" propaganda, just in time. It was pretty strong in the '90s, and I was trying to do the "right thing," by making sure that my then 4yr old son (my first of 3 sons), was raised in a gun free environment. We didn't have any nerf guns or water guns. (We used spray bottles as water guns!🥴) But that was only until I realized what I was actually doing as a mom! It was a powerful lesson that I am glad I learned, and it was my 4 yr old that taught it to me, simply by being a little boy. He had never been exposed to ANYTHING like a gun, not even on TV. Yet, here was my precious little 4yr old playing with his, "BOOM stick," one afternoon. That's what he naturally called it. It was just a stick from our backyard, and he was pointing it at our dog and yelling, "Boom!" When I asked him what he was doing, he said that he was pretending that our dog was the "bad guy," and that he was keeping me and his baby brother safe from the bad guys. I couldn't believe that all of my "efforts," to shield my son from anything deemed "violence," had been out-witted by his natural male genetics. I went and bought him a nerf gun the next day. I was ashamed that I had let the parenting advice of the day, influence me. That day REALLY opened my eyes! Now, my son is 26yrs old, and we laugh at this story. I am glad I clued in before doing much damage. 😊

I feel like some of the interviewers must have just been given a bunch of clips out of context before interviewing him and told he's a misogynist and to call him out. The only way I can make sense of the way they attack him is that they don't know much about him, haven't watched much if any of his content, and have only seen certain things out of context. They seem totally unprepared for his demeanor and chivalry. Not sure if chivalry is the word I'm looking for lol but that he is courteous and calm and collected even when being berated and doesn't try to turn the tables and put the interviewer down, he tries to find common ground and get them thinking differently through it. (The only real way to change anyone's mind about something, getting angry and defensive certainly doesn't lol)
There are certain things he says where out of context I might be like "excuse me?" LOL but if you actually have seen him talk in any length then you can see where it's coming from.
The first time I shared a Jordan Peterson video on Facebook with a mom who was struggling where he was explaining something to do with motherhood and how we are wired, the mom found it helpful but another mom warned me that he is a misogynist and to be careful sharing his content. I didn't know anything about him at that point I had only just discovered him but I thought well what he says here isn't misogynistic and is helpful so I have no issues with sharing it, and I kept my eyes out in future videos but watching more just further convinced me that he is just misunderstood by people taking him out of context.
I was very much in the mindset of just letting people choose their own way and transgender if they want to transgender and I was ready to disagree with him when I saw that he was against Elliot Page but hearing his thinking of how people who are literally just confused in a vulnerable stage of life where everyone, ESPECIALLY women feel super uncomfortable in their bodies may be easily convinced that they're in the wrong body and transitioning will make them feel better and then find it doesn't and they don't want to be trans anymore, that opened my eyes to a very real issue that isn't being talked about in mainstream.
Long tangent lol but truly I can't understand how anyone who has listened to any large amount of his content, IN CONTEXT, could truly believe that he is a misogynist and be unprepared for his interview banter style lol.

      @WriterandPhotographer Рік тому +9

@@katepanthera7265 Let's contrast the two labels "hard left" and "far right," at least as they are used in the U.S. If you love the Constitution, believe the U.S. has sovereign rights, such as a closed border, believe in a small federal government, support law-enforcement, believe in the science of X and Y chromosomes, you are "far-right." If you believe in an open border, systemic racism, infanticide or abortion up to birth, mandatory vaccinations for all people, ignoring any "my body, my choice," believe that there are hundreds of genders, that climate change is an existential threat, believe former President Trump committed a litany of felonies; then you are "hard left." Several of the definitions of the hard left would describe those who are "woke" as well. (although there are dozens of additional examples) If you look at where I live, homicides are up nearly 50% year-over-year because of illegal aliens, prices are up over 20% because of Democrat out-of-control spending, causing the printing of more than $9 trillion since Biden took office (I am an economist) and gas prices are still up over 100% where I live because of actions Biden took beginning in his first days in office. (cancelling oil leases, killing the Keystone pipeline, moving quickly towards green energy when the country was a net-exporter of oil and then returning us to dependence on OPEC) So, the other definition of "woke" are people who are so out of touch with reality, but hanging on every word of fiction from MSNBC and CNN, that they live in a parallel universe, ignoring all the country's problems and voting for more.

I love all the people who are seeing Sky News Australia for the first time for how great it is! Because of this great conversation Rita is having with Dr Peterson, perhaps they will have a broader audience. I've been watching lots of their videos for the last year or two when I want reliable information on AMERICAN politics. They haven't been bought out, it seems. They aren't running with the mandate that U.S. "journalists" are operating under and it is refreshing. I also like how Russel Brand of all people is speaking with a degree of reason and original thought. Heck, even Bill Maher has started to make a bit of sense lately :O

Reference Jordan Peterson being utilized as an "expert witness" in a murder trial:
"Justice Mainella was apparently so unimpressed by Peterson’s 'proposed expert evidence,' he expressed 'concern about the decision to attempt to proffer Dr. Peterson as an expert witness on areas that he was clearly not qualified.' The judge concluded that offering Peterson as an expert witness 'unnecessarily complicated and delayed the trial' and expressed concern about the 'detrimental impact on the justice system of attempting to use dubious expert opinion.'"

"Common sense" is an illogical "nicknoun" - "a substituted or shortened name" - for "common sense logic" which is a term for "common or simple logic based upon 5-sense experience which is common to all of us". He uses many abstract words. He does give some examples , many examples of his "ideas". I say that he has "uncommon sense". He is nevertheless brilliant and very important for enlightenment of humanity. He deviates from common sense when he talks of the Biblical Jesus, the Christ. But we can overlook those deviations because of the immense importance of his expression of ideas which are helpful to wo-mankind.

Except that it almost never helps to frame every idea in its most extreme version. It is pointless to say "nobody should have more than anything else" but it would be very helpful to say: super rich people should pay their fair share of taxes and a reasonable inheritance tax to avoid that larger and larger fortunes are controlled by fewer and fewer people. there! fixed it for you Mr Peterson.

@@4kassis Thanks for illustrating your intellectual inferiority to JP. First off, the U.S. has one of the most progressive tax systems in the world, despite the leftist media’s insistence that the rich “don’t pay their fair share.” The top 1% of income earners in the US pay for about 50% of all income taxes in the country….yet due to Price’s Law and the Pareto principle, wealth is still always going to accumulate to the top in any free society and the income disparity will continue to grow. But even though the income inequality grows larger, all that really matters is that everybody is moving up the chain. There, I fixed it for you.

@@4kassis also, terms like ‘the super rich’ need to pay their ‘fair share’ are so ridiculously vague and unhelpful yet this slogan gets repeated by socialists like it’s just common sense. What exact dollar amount makes you super rich and what exact percentage of your income going to taxes makes it a “fair share”? Because the top 1% already pay way more than their fair share…

Trudeau is afraid to speak with anyone who shines light and truth. Liars don't like being exposed.
Trudeau has been managed by handlers most of his life. He makes no real friends, just superficial, camera ready moments with people he sees as useful. P.E. Trudea was not a great politician, he nearly bankrupted the country but I'll concede history presented Sr. with a an incredibly difficult situation. Jr is much worst, bankrupting the country and stearing it down a destructive, assisted suiced path, because he is spineless, without direction, and all too willing to follow instructions from non-Canadian powers.
