Surprised that you didn't mention Harbinger Orb and Orb of Hirozons. Both are also good for rolling maps you haven't completed. Also there are Scouting reports which give bonus to get a map you haven't finished yet, for example, the Scouting report for getting Unique maps.
Even if only tier 16 maps are capable of dropping, the increased tier of dropped maps stat is still very useful as the times that the game attempts to drop a map of a tier that isn't droppable will add to an equity pool, and every tier higher that it drops will increase the equity, which will eventually be dumped into a map drop off your desired tier. For every 100% chance to drop as 1 tier higher, you effectively triple your map drops.

Horizon orb does not change the implicit mod on the map. Shaper guardian maps have implicit "influenced by shaper" and the name of the map tells which one it is, and the name can be changed. Elder and awakener maps have the bosses name in the implicit mod, which cannot be changed. This is why only shaper guardian maps can be switched but not others.
consol league starts tomorrow and I tried understanding this video, will probably need to find a written version. It's just a lot of information at once that all seem very important
Just take your time, learn one thing and then move on to the next. Don't try to learn as efficiently as possible, just learn solutions as problems arise.
I just started playing the game this league, came from D3, getting two voidstones and killing elder was pretty easy but Shaper is giving me some trouble because you actually have to develop a feel for the mechanics, can't just run in circles all fight.
I started playing PoE again a few days ago. I like this version of the Atlas, have they stopped doing major changes to the Atlas? I quit many years ago because they did major overhauls to the Atlas every expansion. I had to redo the Atlas every time I jumped in to waste a few hours. Sure it was the same this time but as I like the way this Atlas works it has been fun unlocking it again.
I have taken screenshots and screen recordings.. I haven't done any Atlas Maps ever so.. I understand what u talking but I don't understand meaning of it all.. if that makes sense.. Gonna start doing maps now hope it all makes sense soon 😄 tanks for da lessons great video.
i know this has nothing to do with the video, but i was curious so i gotta ask, the vaal artic armor, what will happen if you use it with the unstoppable from juggernaught? will you still be locked? or does the skill surpass the gem effect and allow you to still move while under the effect of being frozen? if so, could you combo with winterheart or berek's pass?
2 options here. Either is similar to the elder locking in place before the shaper bonks him (Unstoppable cannot negate that effect), or you can simply move and act at base action speed.
I believe what Ziz meant by that was he wouldn't be overly picky about re-rolling maps which you have already rolled that end up having unfavorable mods in softcore. If it's a mod that breaks your build then sure, roll over it but if it's only going to make things a little risky or rippy then you don't need to be too picky, particularly early-league. You'll nearly always want to roll maps imo, transmute at the very minimum(white maps bonus objective).
Question: You don't use currency in Trade League on Maps - but do you use it the first time you run the map for the atlas passive skill or do you just try to advance to higher maps until enough maps/currency drops anyway to run those for the passives?
If you are sc, I would definitely do the bonus the first time around and after that I would alch every yellow and red map, because usually you won’t run out of those alchs at that point
I normally go for the 2 red blue pinacle bosses then maven but after that i nomally give up because shaper and elder is so boring and rng to progress into, but the most efficient way is to spec into those and spam t14+ right? any tips around this matter?
question, is it more important early league to do a t16 map white/blue to just get the completion but not the bonus? or on first run always try to get the bonus?
personally I always alch red maps, and im always in crappy ssf gear, dont be afraid to waste a few chaos rerolling it to an easier one and you shouldnt have much trouble.

You say that to get an uncompleted map to drop, you need to run a connected map of the *previous* tier. But I believe you can run any connected map? You can get an uncompleted T15 to drop from a connected T16, and so on. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I am afraid of dying too much even in softcore while playing as seismic trap last league and was the only one I completed the atlas on. Does rerolling more dangerous mods away help? - Is Wandering Path worth for early game map progression?
1/ exact damages/defences for each difficulty is relative and vibes based, you can feel how hard things should be. you shouldn't die every map, you should kill most packs with 1 skill and bosses shouldnt take longer than like 30 secs. That said on SC its worth pushing through too difficult content to finish off the atlas. 2/ When you die, check the mod list by pressing tab. When you recognise a mod after seeing it repeatedly, have a think about why you died, and then make a decision on whether to roll over it later. most people roll over reflect mods, or no regen if you need regen, or a mix of a bunch of crit, proj, damage as extra. Shocked ground sucks and lots of people die to it, but idk if anyone rolls over it. Don't go spending 10 scour/alchs on every map, but if your reaction is "sheesh" to a set of mods then its fine to just roll over it. 3/To get 100% chance to drop a connected map and maps duplicated? not really.
