- I sold my bike, and put this up for potential buyers. I'll keep it up here for other people wanting to look at a similar bike.
Please note, this bike is stock except for the windshield, and the professionally adapted baffles in the muffler system. - Авто та транспорт
Out of al the 250cc cruisers if seen online, this has to be the best sounding
I took the bike to a local shop here that creates custom built exhaust systems for racing cars etc. Apparently they very carefully drilled out the baffles using an increasing size of drill bits, however, I'm not sure what size they started with or went to. It's not recommended to try it at home, as it can go terribly wrong very fast. These guys had done it for Harley Riders for a long time, and had no issues with this bike. I'm stoked it came out so well.
I'd have to agree with you there. I do miss the sound of this bike, for sure. The exhaust looks stock, BUT, the baffles had been professionally adapted. I think it sounded better than my 400cc cruiser that I upgraded to.... lol.
I quite often got asked if it was a larger bike than it really was.
Thanks for your comment. :-)
Hey mate, I'm looking to buy one of these and just wondering where you got the windscreen from or roughy what size? The suzuki ones seems quite small
Hiya! I got the windscreen through an American company that sold their items through E-Bay. Go to ebay.com and type in "suzuki intruder vl250 windscreen" and look for any listing with "Dakota 3.0" in the header. That's the one I got. I hope that helps. :-)
Cheers thanks for that! Did it help on the highway? There's conflicting opinions online
Yes, it did. But it depends on what you're looking for in it.
It protected me from two bird strikes (they would have seriously hurt), and lots of insects. It also protected me from the wind beating against my chest a lot.
The only drawback I found was that it stopped wind going into my helmet, so I got quite hot in the summer.
I'm thinking of getting one of these as a commuter. How's yours held up past few years?
Reply is 2 years late - as UA-cam never told me it was being held for approval! (Actually, a large number of comments were held - weird)
BUT..... you already own a new bike now, so I think the reply to this won't matter... lol.
Very nice please tell me were I can get a set of those exhaust whole units ? Thank You in advance love the bike mate

BUT.... the exhausts are stock, but I drilled out the baffles, so sounded a bit more meaty.
I am going to be getting one of these as my first bike to learn on do you recommend it?
I do! It's a nice bike to ride, and they tend to hold their resale value also. A bit underpowered for a big guy like me though, but that's ok, I own an 1800cc Boulevard now... lol.
