I own a 2006 Suzuki 650. I purchased it brand new. I literally take this bike everywhere. I have done all the upkeep myself. So easy to work on. A great all around motorcycle. Some of my buddies laugh at it. But my bike keeps going. I can't say how many times their bikes are in the shop.
Glad to hear your experience. I just bought a 2015 with 525 miles. It was filthy sitting in a warehouse. Trailered it spent all the next day changing fluids washing and polishing. Drained the carb and tank. Put in new gas and battery. She fired right up. I'm 62 and need a light bike but can still go on the freeway. Underrated for sure.
I've had everything from a 250 Ninja to a 1450 Harley. I would never laugh at someone's bike that they're having a great time on. I've never been on a bike that wasn't fun. Keep doing what you do and enjoy!
I had one in the early 90's. Great bike. Always had people saying it was a single cylinder that was not cool to ride. Then reminded them that the 'COOL' BSA's were single cylinder. Kinda shut them up!!
I have a 2019 S40, near identical bike. I wish I had the handlebars from this 97. But mine has 5 gears. I'm 5'9" and I wish it were just a tiny bit bigger. Over 8K on the odo. Decent power and mostly reliable. Mostly.
Just got a 02 suzuking 650 savage. 16k miles haven’t changed the spark plug oils or nothing just put a new carburetor, gas and battery bitch runs amazingly
This would be perfect for a beginner cruiser. I sat on a new one 2018 model. Basically the same thing. Just a few cosmetic changes (including different handlebars). I sit pretty comfortably on one, but I see your knees are a little high up. Did that feel uncomfortable trying to turn that bike at low speeds?
30 years stockpiled OEM and used parts. I ride mine daily and ride it hard. Extremely reliable. Most mechanically fit vehicle I have ever owned. The low end torque is devine!
The Savage is a fairly compact bike, but it looks particularly tiny and cramped with this guy sitting on it. I'm 5'9" (175cm) with a 30"(76cm) inseam and it fits me very well.
@@KaplanCycles Really !!? Anyone can see you are too tall for this bike and your telling pacopana (who is even taller than you) he's not too tall.Be honest man, beeing able to ride the bike is something different from beeing suitable for it ,am I right or am I right! greetings and keep it up!
You put way to much time into that bike. Your now upside down. It should have been wholesale. That's why so many dealers close. They don't know when to spend to make a.profit. or when to walk away.
You can’t deny that Ken absolutely loves all motorcycles though, some people talk the talk but can’t walk the walk. He’s a genuine 100% enthusiast which is probably an understatement but anyone with half a brain can see he’s not just into it to make coin because he promotes many facets of motorcycling! I’m actually grateful to Ken for showing us many models and features as he entertains us with on & off road demonstrations and events. I’m not attacking you but my personal opinion is that if someone doesn’t appreciate all he has done it’s their loss! Thanks so much Ken, respect! 💪😎👍🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸🎆🎇🎉
You can not sit there like a pimple on an elephants bum and try to tell me that this ultra small motorcycle is the most popular cruiser in the USA and that it has a cult following. These things are just a little over priced motorcycle that you will out grow 15 minutes after you buy and ride it. Be honest and dont piss down my back and try to tell me it is raining.

Get rid of the bars made for short people, and you've got one of the most fun thumpers there's ever been.
